Vintage Culture to headline a new indoor rave experience in Singapore during the F1 week

Time Out6 days ago
Singapore, get ready to turn the volume all the way up. This October, your Formula 1 week is getting a massive energy boost with ENL1GHT – a brand-new, one-night-only indoor rave experience taking over the iconic Pasir Panjang Power Station on October 3. Powered by RaveDAO, the brains behind globally minded music experiences, ENL1GHT promises to be the biggest nightlife moment of the season. And the headliner? None other than Brazilian dance music titan Vintage Culture, who's finally making his Singapore debut.
Who's on the music lineup at ENL1GHT?
If you've got even a toe dipped in the EDM scene, you'll know Vintage Culture is a very big deal. Currently ranked #9 on DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list and clocking over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, he's headlined mega festivals like Tomorrowland and Coachella, and locked in coveted residencies at Hï Ibiza and Wynn Las Vegas. His euphoric yet emotive sound has made him one of the most sought-after acts in the world. And now, for the first time ever, Singapore gets to experience the Vintage Culture effect live.
Joining him on the decks is Jiayou, music director and resident DJ at RaveDAO. With serious global cred, she has played everywhere from Seoul and Brussels to Dubai and Singapore – even electrifying crowds of over 20,000 in 2024 alone with her signature blend of deep house, progressive house and techno. ENL1GHT marks her return to home turf.
When is ENL1GHT?
Mark your calendars – it all goes down on Thursday, October 3, 2025, during the F1 week.
Where is ENL1GHT held?
The rave is set to transform the colossal Pasir Panjang Power Station into a full-blown bass-heavy bash. Once a vital cog in Singapore's industrial grid, the heritage venue now sets the stage for a night of music, movement and meaning. Expect immersive visuals and a high-octane production experience that leans into the festival's theme: 'Be the spark that lights a thousand.'
What else to expect?
More than just a party, ENL1GHT is also a festival with a purpose. A portion of ticket proceeds supports Rave for Light, RaveDAO's global impact initiative. Past editions have funded sight-restoring surgeries for over 400 patients in Nepal and delivered mindfulness training to 150 participants in the US.
To sweeten the deal, DeCard by DCS is throwing in exclusive perks for cardholders. A Web3-native card that lets you spend stablecoins IRL, DeCard users can enjoy up to 50 percent off early bird tickets, fast-lane entry, and priority queues for drinks throughout the event.
Pre-registration opens on July 23. Early bird tickets drop on August 4 at 12pm, starting from $188. VIP table packages are also available upon request, if you're going big for F1 week.

Tomorrowland music festival is coming to Australia for the first time in 2026

Tomorrowland is making it's Australia debut in 2026. The iconic music festival, which is held annually in Belgium, is bringing its CORE stage to Melbourne in November next year, which will mark a first for the festival Down Under. A TikTok was shared over the weekend by a Tomorrowland attendee featuring a world map poster at this year's festival in Boom. On the map, locations were circled to show where the CORE stage would be travelling to next year. The list of cities included Medellin, Colombia in February 2026, Los Angeles, California in May 2026 and Melbourne, Australia in November 2026. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The CORE stage was first introduced by Tomorrowland in 2017 and aims to bring some of the biggest DJs of underground electronic music to places across the globe. Some of the past locations the stage has popped up in include Brazil and Tulum, becoming renowned for its jungle-inspired design and unmatchable festival experience. While Tomorrowland hasn't directly confirmed it yet, the festival is expected to announce the Melbourne show either at the end of the year or the beginning of next year, with ticket, lineup and venue details sure to follow. The exciting news comes as a welcome surprise in a time when the live music industry in Australia is facing significant challenges. This year has seen a slew of major music festivals axed, including multi-city event Listen Out, R'n'B festival Souled Out and the ever-iconic Splendour in the Grass. It was revealed in January that Splendour in the Grass would not be returning in 2025. Organisers officially confirmed that the beloved Byron Bay music festival would not go ahead for a second year in a row via social media. 'Hey gang, sorry it's been so quiet, but we had a little holiday…finally,' a statement published on the festival's Instagram and Facebook channels read. 'The rest of the festival team have still been busy cooking up some awesome new things for music lovers in Australia, but Splendour needs a little more time to recharge and we won't be back this year.' The 2024 Splendour festival, which was set to feature the likes of Kylie Minogue, G Flip, Tash Sultana, and Fontaines D.C., was axed less than a week after tickets went on sale, with organisers citing 'unexpected events' as the reason behind the last-minute cancellation. There is no guarantee that the festival is slated to return in 2026, however, organisers asked music fans to 'think of it as a breather so we can come back even bigger and better when the time is right.' The statement ended on a more hopeful note, with Splendour organisers saying there are 'lots of other huge events on the horizon.' 'So keep an ear to the ground in the coming months – we can't wait to share what we've been working on!' they added. In a separate statement to Rolling Stone, ticketing and touring company Live Nation said the Splendour festivals team 'has our full support to bring Splendour in the Grass back when they feel it's right.'

A 20,000-square-foot tech wonderland is opening in Times Square this week

Times Square isn't exactly known for subtlety—but even by its standards, tm:rw is a spectacle. Opening Tuesday, July 29, in the historic Candler Building (yes, the one that once housed the 24-hour McDonald's), tm:rw is a 20,000-square-foot, three-level immersive tech emporium that's part theme park, part concept store and all-out sensory overload. Think: a Formula 1 show car, the world's largest retail hologram and a cotton candy robot, all under one LED-bathed roof. Dubbed 'the store of tomorrow,' tm:rw is the brainchild of Smartech Retail Group co-founders Nathalie Bernce and Jacov Nachtailer, who cut their teeth transforming innovation retail across Selfridges, KaDeWe and Rinascente. But this is their first standalone concept—and it's a full-throttle leap into the future. Designed by Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios (yes, that Balenciaga collaborator), the space is sleek, sculptural and full of surprises. 'If Bergdorf had a baby with Brookstone but raised it in a Disney utopia, that's kind of what we've built,' Jordan Traxler, global head of marketing, told Time Out New York during a preview tour. The layout is loosely organized by lifestyle category—gaming, wellness, audio, travel, etc.—but tm:rw favors exploration over linearity. Touch everything. Try everything. Book a test drive on a professional-grade racing simulator ($20 for 10 minutes), then wander into The Sanctuary, a nearly soundproof oasis of Alexa-powered serenity, smack in the middle of Times Square. At the heart of tm:rw is its mission to democratize innovation. 'So much of cutting-edge tech is locked behind paywalls—only seen at CES or in corporate offices,' said Traxler. 'We wanted to make it accessible, tactile, even fun.' And it is. Highlights include LG's transparent OLED TV (only one of three on public display in the U.S.), a slick grooming lounge by Gillette and Braun, next-gen wearables from WHOOP and a retro-inspired karaoke lounge with plenty of secret events planned for the future. There's even a café with cotton candy spun by robots. The 'Corner Shop' concept store rotates every few weeks and opens with an exclusive WHOOP installation. Meanwhile, hidden cameras (privacy-compliant, of course) provide real-time feedback to brand partners, tracking everything from dwell time to predictive purchasing behavior.

Martin Brundle in Ozzy Osbourne tribute at Belgian GP – 'My favourite grid walk guest'

Ozzy Osbourne made a memorable appearance on Martin Brundle's Formula 1 grid walk more than 20 years ago and the Sky Sports favourite paid tribute to the rocker on Sunday Martin Brundle began his grid walk at the Belgian Grand Prix with a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. The rock legend died last week, aged 76, less than three weeks after his farewell concert with his band Black Sabbath in Birmingham. ‌ Osbourne was loved by millions worldwide and also captured the hearts of Formula 1 fans many years ago with a memorable appearance on one of Brundle's pre-race grid walks. The broadcaster usually spends some time walking up and down the grid before a Grand Prix to speak with famous faces. ‌ A particularly memorable walk happened when Osbourne was a VIP guest at the 2003 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. Many reporters tried to speak with him but Brundle, working for ITV at the time, managed to get to the front of the queue – not that he could get much sense out of the rocker. ‌ And he had to cut the interview short when Osbourne swore unexpectedly, in an exchange which Brundle later reflected upon. The Brit said: "He wasn't fully with it, shall we say. I asked him a question and he gave me a very long, incomprehensible answer. "I said to him, 'I'll try and think of a question to that, but in the meantime how are the dogs?' And he said, 'They are at home s****** on the carpets.' It went out live to millions of people and I got in trouble because I was supposed to have known he would swear if I asked that question." That memorable moment resurfaced on social media in the days after Osbourne's death last week. And Brundle took the opportunity to say a few words about the departed music legend as he began his grid walk ahead of Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix at a rain-soaked Circuit Spa-Francorchamps. Speaking live on Sky Sports, the broadcaster said: "A quick word for probably my most favourite ever grid walk guest: Ozzy Osbourne. Condolences to your family and friends, we will miss you. Rest in peace I don't think quite fits for Ozzy Osbourne." ‌ While Osbourne may have landed Brundle in a bit of bother with his loose language, he did at least engage with the broadcaster, who has branded his grid walks in general as "car crash television". While many stars are happy to converse with the ex-F1 driver on the grid, some have notoriously snubbed him. Earlier this year, he told the Daily Mail: "The grid walk actually really annoys me because that's what I'm known for now. The whole thing is still a mystery. I won a lot of races as a driver and was on the F1 podium. I was World Sportscar Champion, winner at Le Mans, beat Ayrton Senna a lot of times in F3. "I was a reasonably handy racing driver and I'm a reasonably handy commentator but all I'm going to be remembered for is getting ignored on the grid by the Megan Thee Stallion and other people I'd never heard of until that moment. It's quite a funny thing but I can't knock it, heading towards 66, I'm lucky to still be in live sport and that's why I was pleased with the OBE because it wasn't an OBE just for grid-walking."
