The Magic hilariously played the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme during the Trae Young ejection
Trae Young T'd up for throwing ball at ref
Then takes ball and won't give it to ref
Then ejected
Then escorted out to Curb Your Enthusiasm music pic.twitter.com/QFSA5Kps32 — New York Basketball (@NBA_NewYork) April 16, 2025
It helps to host a play-in game on your home court and it showed as much when the Orlando Magic hosted the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night.
Orlando defeated Atlanta and despite a tremendous performance from Trae Young, the four-time All-Star guard was ejected after he received his second technical foul of the evening. He received the technical for throwing a ball at a referee, then taking the ball and not giving it to the referee.
On his way into the locker room, meanwhile, the Magic cleverly decided to play the theme music to Curb Your Enthusiasm.
This was a genuinely hilarious choice by whoever made the decision.
After the game, crew chief James Williams said Young was making a "mockery" of the game.
This is exactly the type of language you would hear about Curb star Larry David would get accused of if he played professional basketball. Great work, Orlando.

Kyle Manzardo's RBI single in 10th inning gives Guardians 3-2 win over Twins
Associated Press CLEVELAND (AP) — Kyle Manzardo singled home Brayan Rocchio with one out in the 10th inning for his second walk-off hit of the season, giving the Cleveland Guardians a 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Friday night. The Guardians loaded the bases against Kody Funderburk (1-1) on a single by Steven Kwan and an intentional walk to Jose Ramirez. Manzardo brought in automatic runner Rocchio with a liner to left field. Cade Smith (3-4) pitched the final two innings as Cleveland improved to 9-5 since the All-Star break. Ramírez drove in Kwan in the first inning, then stole second base to become the 17th player with 275 steals and 275 home runs in a career. He is the first primary third baseman to reach the milestone and the second switch hitter, joining Carlos Beltrán. Rocchio brought home Carlos Santana in the second to give the Guardians a 2-0 lead against Joe Ryan, who worked six innings. Cleveland starter Gavin Williams struck out eight over six scoreless frames. Minnesota tied the score at 2-all in the seventh on a throwing error by pitcher Hunter Gaddis, allowing Brooks Lee and Christian Vazquez to come around. The Twins promoted four pitchers and four position players from Triple-A St. Paul before the game. They made nine trades in the 24 hours preceding Thursday's deadline. Key moment Gaddis inexplicably threw the ball toward first on Martin's infield hit, instead of holding it, and fired a bouncer past first baseman Santana into right field. Both unearned runs were charged to Erik Sabrowski. Key stat The Twins had 25 players in uniform, one less than the roster limit, after exchanging 26 total players during their four-day flurry of transactions. Up next Guardians RHP Tanner Bibee (7-9, 4.39 ERA), who has won three straight starts, pitches on Saturday. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli has not decided on a starter. ___ AP MLB: recommended Item 1 of 2

Jonathan Aranda lands on IL with fractured wrist after nasty Giancarlo Stanton collision
The Rays are losing one of their best players to the injured list. First baseman Jonathan Aranda is heading to the 10-day IL with a broken wrist after his scary collision with Giancarlo Stanton during Tampa Bay's 7-4 loss to the Yankees Thursday in The Bronx. The injury took place in the bottom of the fifth when Stanton chopped a ground ball to third baseman Junior Caminero. Caminero charged in to barehand the ball and whipped an inaccurate throw that forced Aranda to step in front of the first base bag as Stanton barreled toward the base. Aranda, 27, was forced to make an awkward movement in an effort to tag the Yankees outfielder, where he jammed his hand before keeling over in pain and heading back to the clubhouse. After the game, Aranda told reporters: 'There's a lot of pain. I've never felt that anything like that before…everything was negative on the X-ray. Tomorrow we'll see our doctor and see what happens.' The Rays' Jonathan Aranda after injuring his wrist in Thursday's loss to the Yankees. JASON SZENES/ NY POST Aranda arrived for Friday's game against the Dodgers with a brace on his left wrist and he shared he had fractured his wrist but that the injury wasn't 'catastrophic' and that he hopes to return this season. He won't be able to use his left wrist for the next three weeks, though. 'That's pretty good news, given what we saw yesterday,' Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters Friday. 'Let's see how the bone heals. I think re-imaging is in about three weeks, but we'll continue to remain optimistic.' The Rays' Jonathan Aranda is hitting .316 with a .871 OPS and 12 home runs this year. Getty Images Aranda, who earned the first All-Star nod of his career this season, is hitting .316 with an .871 OPS and 12 homers. Those numbers mark a huge jump from last year, when the Tijuana, Mexico native hit .234 with a .737 OPS and six home runs. At the time of his injury, Aranda was leading the Rays in WAR with 2.3.
