Amitabh Bachchan shares unseen wedding photos with Jaya Bachchan to mark their 52nd anniversary. See here
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan celebrated their 52nd anniversary on June 3, and to mark the occasion, the veteran actor shared old photos from their wedding on X (formerly Twitter). He also penned an emotional note, thanking his fans for their well wishes.
In the photos shared by Big B, he is seen wearing a simple white kurta-pyjama, while Jaya wore a red saree. The pictures show the couple performing rituals and also speaking to each other during their wedding. Sharing the clicks, Amitabh wrote, 'To all that wish Jaya and me for the Wedding Anniversary June 3, 2025, my gratitude and love.' He also added a quote by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, 'Anwarat samay ki chakki chalti jaati hai (the wheel of time keeps turning endlessly).'
Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan worked together in many films such as Zanjeer, Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Mili and more. They first met on the sets of Guddi. Speaking about meeting Amitabh for the first time, Jaya had said in an old interview, 'I was introduced to him on the sets of Guddi. I was impressed by him and somewhat in awe as he was Harivanshrai Bachchan's son. I fell in love with him very soon.' The couple fell in love on the sets of Ek Nazar (1972) and went on to date before tying the knot in 1973.
Jaya's father, journalist Taroon Coomar Bhaduri, wrote in an article for the Illustrated Weekly of India in 1989 about how the priest protested against the star couple's inter-caste marriage. He wrote about the couple's wedding day and how Amitabh Bachchan followed all rituals without offending anyone.
He wrote, 'A Bengali marriage is usually a long-drawn-out but a highly interesting affair. The Bengali priest (who was located with great difficulty) at first protested against having to preside over a marriage between a Bengali Brahmin (Jaya) and a non-Bengali non-Brahmin (Amit). After a lot of hassles, this was sorted out. Amit went through all the rituals, offending no one, and the ceremony went on until early the next morning. He did with sincerity all he was told to do. The following day, they flew to London. On their return, I held a reception at Bhopal and again Amit did whatever he was told to do.'

The man in the photo with Rani Mukerji is son of a Bollywood star, worked in only 6 films in 22 years, can you recognise him? His name is...
Nepotism in Bollywood these days has grabbed the attention of audiences, critics, and everyone alike. Kids coming from a background of actors are launched by big banners. While some films of these star kids, including Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday, Rasha Thadani, and more, turn out to be hits, others flop badly. However, this practice of an actor's child becoming an actor didn't start recently. Even in the early days of Bollywood, children of successful actors aspired to enter the film industry and follow in their parents' footsteps. Today, we will talk about one such star kid whose father played some iconic roles in Bollywood. However, he couldn't make a name for himself. Sholay was a huge hit, and many characters from the film stood out to the audience. Despite being released more than five decades ago, Sholay and its iconic characters remain fresh in the minds of viewers. One of those famous characters was Gabbar, played by Amjad Khan. His son also tried to become an actor but failed. Who is Amjad Khan's Son? Amjad Khan's son is Shadab Khan. Shadaab Khan started his film career as a child artist in the film Pyari Bhabhi. After this, he debuted in 1997 with the film Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, in which his heroine was Rani Mukherjee. However, this film failed to do wonders at the box office. Following this, he did movies like Detaabi (1997), Hey Ram (2000), Refugee (2000), Bharat Bhagya Vidhata (2002), and a short film Mini Banerjee Ghar Par Hain (2019), but none of them worked for him. Shadab Khan then decided to leave the industry. He acted in a total of 6 movies. What is Amjad Khan's Son Doing Now? Shadaab Khan married Rumana Chava in 2005, and let us tell you that after leaving the film industry, Shadab made his career in writing and direction. He has written novels like Shanti Memorial and Murder, and has also written scripts for some films.

Shefali Jariwala death: Security guard recalls last sighting before sudden death
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], June 28 (ANI): The sudden passing of actress-model Shefali Jariwala at the age of 42 has left the entertainment industry in shock. Best known for her iconic role in the 2002 music video 'Kaanta Laga', Jariwala was last seen by her residential complex's security guard just hours before her reported death, making the news all the more difficult to believe for those who interacted with her. Shatrughan Mahato, a security guard at her Andheri apartment in Mumbai, recalled his final interaction with the actress, saying she appeared to be in a good mood that morning. 'I didn't see Shefali ji. Her car left, and I opened the gate at around 10:15 pm. I found out at 1 o'clock in the night about her death. I didn't believe that. Because I saw her in a good mood in the morning,' he said. 'She had a friend who came and showed me a photo on his mobile that Shefali ji has died. I said, I am not sure about this. I saw her the day before yesterday. Both husband and wife. She was a very good person,' Mahato shared. Jariwala was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital on Friday night, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival. While the exact cause of death remains unclear, initial reports suggest that she may have suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. The All Indian Cine Workers Association confirmed the news via social media, expressing their sorrow. 'Shefali Jariwala is no longer with us. Gone too soon at just 42 due to a sudden heart attack. It's hard to believe she's gone. May her soul rest in peace, and may God give strength to her family during this heartbreaking time,' the association wrote on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. Mumbai Police have confirmed that Jariwala's body was found at her residence in the Andheri area. Authorities received the report at around 1 am, after which the body was transferred to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem. However, the exact cause of her death is still under investigation. 'Actress Shefali Jariwala has passed away at the age of 42. Her body was found at her residence in Andheri, Mumbai. Members of her family had reached the hospital late last night, and she was declared brought dead by doctors there. Mumbai Police received information around 1 a.m. last night. Postmortem is being done at Cooper Hospital. The cause of death is not yet clear,' a police source confirmed. Jariwala, who achieved fame with the chart-topping music video 'Kaanta Laga', went on to carve a niche for herself in Bollywood, appearing in films like 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' (2004), where she starred alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. Additionally, she became a household name through reality television, with notable appearances in Bigg Boss 13 (2019) and Nach Baliye (seasons 5 and 7), where she participated alongside her husband, actor Parag Tyagi. Apart from her career in entertainment, Jariwala was a vocal advocate for mental health awareness and women's empowerment. She openly discussed her personal struggles with epilepsy, using her platform to inspire others facing similar challenges. (ANI)
