Notre Dame receives a prediction for ‘26 DL Elijah Golden, who will commit in late July

USA Today20 hours ago

Notre Dame football's 2026 class has grown exponentially over the last two weeks, but they will have to wait until the end of July for another one of its top targets to make his decision.
Elijah Golden, a 6-foot, 4-inch and 275-pound Floridian, will make his commitment on July 26th as reported by On3's Kyle Kelly, as he will decided from Alabama, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and the Irish. The good news for Notre Dame is that On3's Mike Singer has put in a prediction for the star defensive lineman to go with the Blue and Gold.
With all of his official visits concluded, he will now have about a month the finalize his decision. Golden visited South Bend during the weekend of June 20th, his last trip that was scheduled. While Notre Dame has multiple edge rushers committed, they lack a big body on the outside to compliment them. Golden would be that perfect addition, and if Singer is correct, they will be doing just that.

Buccaneers Look to Alabama for Edge Rusher in 3-Round 2026 NFL Mock Draft

Buccaneers Look to Alabama for Edge Rusher in 3-Round 2026 NFL Mock Draft originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Chris Braswell in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he struggled to find his place in Todd Bowles' defense as a rookie. Advertisement While there's still hope that he can become a part of the regular defensive rotation at linebacker, the Bucs went out and signed veteran free agent Haason Reddick this offseason to a one-year "prove-it" deal. Depending on how Reddick works out, the Bucs might be in the market for another in 2026, and per they'll go back to Alabama to find one in their three-round 2026 NFL Mock Draft. "The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have built a unique pass rush unit with their defensive line body types, and Overton would elevate them to become challenging to throw against." Depending on who you talk to, Sadiq is either the No. 1-ranked tight end for the class of 2026 or the No. 2, behind Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers. It's hard to really tell how good he is since his playing time was limited in 2024 behind eventual second-round pick Terrance Ferguson. But he did show flashes of his potential with 24 catches and 308 yards with two touchdowns.
