Tribute for kind-hearted Peterborough father killed in crash
A family have paid tribute to a loving father and friend who "meant so much to so many" after he died in a collision. Tomas Lukosevicius, 42, of Hanbury, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, was hit by a van on the Nene Parkway at about 08:45 BST on 31 July.A 60-year-old man from Thetford, who was driving the van, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and was bailed until 30 part of their tribute to Mr Lukosevicius, his family thanked him for his strength, sincerity and his kind heart. In a statement, they said: "You left for a place from which no-one returns."Without saying goodbye, without a hug, without a word."Like a wind that suddenly falls still. Like a star that fades without a sound."You were just one person, but meant so much to so many – a brother, a son, a father, an uncle, a grandson, a friend."Your place in each of our lives was unique. And now, without you here, we feel an emptiness that cannot be filled."Rest in peace, Tomas. You are gone, but your love and light remain with us – forever."Det Sgt Craig Wheeler, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: "We believe there are still witnesses to this collision that have not come forward. Boy, 3, rushed to hospital after ‘falling from height' in middle of the day with cops raced to scene
A BOY, 3, was rushed to hospital after falling from height in the middle of the day as cops raced to the scene. The child is still in hospital after police and paramedics were called to an address in Hounslow on Sunday afternoon. The boy's injuries were found to be neither life threatening or changing after local reports suggested he fell from the second floor of a housing block. Around half a dozen emergency vehicles remained in the area throughout Sunday with an emergency cordon in place. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At 1.10pm on Sunday, August 3 officers and the London Ambulance Service responded to reports of a fall from height from an address on Sandown Close, Hounslow. "A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital - his condition has not been deemed life changing or life-threatening. He remains in hospital. "There is no criminal investigation at this stage and no arrests have been made."

Suffolk Police seek vintage car owner after Assington crash
Police are asking the driver of a vintage car believed to have hit a cyclist to come forward. Suffolk Police say a male cyclist in his 30s was struck from behind by a vehicle that failed to stop, suffering serious cyclist had been riding towards Sudbury on the A134 near the junction with Boxford Lane at Assington at about 11:15 BST on vehicle is described as a large black vintage car with large headlights, silver wing mirrors, wide wheel arches and thick-spoked wheels.
