A cyclist has been seriously injured in a collision with a car, police have said.States of Jersey Police said the incident took place in St Helier at the junction of La Route du Fort and Roseville Street on Monday afternoon."The cyclist has very serious injuries and is being taken to hospital," the force said.Police said the road had been closed in both directions and advised motorists to use the coast road via St Clement and Havre des Pas.

A BOY, 3, was rushed to hospital after falling from height in the middle of the day as cops raced to the scene. The child is still in hospital after police and paramedics were called to an address in Hounslow on Sunday afternoon. The boy's injuries were found to be neither life threatening or changing after local reports suggested he fell from the second floor of a housing block. Around half a dozen emergency vehicles remained in the area throughout Sunday with an emergency cordon in place. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "At 1.10pm on Sunday, August 3 officers and the London Ambulance Service responded to reports of a fall from height from an address on Sandown Close, Hounslow. "A three-year-old boy was taken to hospital - his condition has not been deemed life changing or life-threatening. He remains in hospital. "There is no criminal investigation at this stage and no arrests have been made."
