Anupam Kher makes big statement on Operation Sindoor hero Colonel Sofia Qureshi, says, ‘Presented her…'

After the Pahalgam attack shook the nation, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, targeting and destroying several terrorist bases across the border. Amid the operation, one face stood out—not from the battlefield, but the briefing room. Colonel Sophia Qureshi, a high-ranking officer in the Indian Army's Corps of Signals, led media briefings, keeping the nation informed and composed during the tense period. Who is Colonel Sophia Qureshi? Sophia isn't just another officer in uniform. She made history as the first Indian woman to lead a military contingent at an international exercise. With clarity, calmness, and courage, she became the Army's voice after the Pahalgam attack. Her presence wasn't just a performance—it was reassurance. Anupam Kher meets Sophia Qureshi Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is currently promoting his new film Tanvi the Great, recently met Colonel Sophia and shared their interaction on Instagram. In the photo, he's seen gifting her his book. His caption read, 'OPERATION SINDOOR: I was extremely HAPPY and deeply HONOURED to meet Col. #sofiyaqureshi recently and present her my fourth #SelfHelp book #DifferentButNoLess! She epitomises the grace, valour, dignity and bravery of #IndianArmy. Thank you Col. Qureshi for your warmth and appreciation! Jai Hind! #Proud' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Anupam Kher (@anupampkher) The post has since gone viral, with fans calling the moment 'real patriotism'. What's 'Tanvi the Great' and how is it connected? Kher's film, Tanvi the Great, which tells the story of a young girl fighting against all odds to chase her dreams, has just been granted tax-free status in Delhi, following its earlier declaration as tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Sharing the update, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta wrote on social platform X, ' I am pleased to share that the Delhi Government has declared the film 'Tanvi the Great' tax-free in the state. With an impactful narrative of inclusion, the film is an inspiring story of a young, 'special' girl-Tanvi, who is determined to achieve her dreams against all odds. Tanvi's story is emotional and inspirational. We are committed to promoting films that strengthen the spirit of Rashtra Seva, ignites patriotism, and awakens the conscience of the nation. Best wishes to the entire team of the film. @AnupamPKher' I am pleased to share that the Delhi Government has declared the film 'Tanvi the Great' tax-free in the state. Sometimes it's in uniform, other times in the cinema. But both spark something real: pride, purpose, and power.

Ganpati mandals rejoice as HC permits idol immersion in sea

Mumbai: Ganpati mandals are relieved at Thursday's Bombay High Court order permitting PoP idols over 6 ft tall to be immersed in the sea. They had been wary of organising full fledged celebrations in the absence of proper permissions. Now that the curbs have been lifted they are going ahead full steam with their usual tall moortis, decoration and fundraising. Ankur Lad, spokesperson for Khetwadi Cha Vighnaharta of Girgaum, said artificial tanks were not suited to tall moortis. "PoP idols of 20-25 ft contain metal and iron rods and frames inside for support. In fact even clay idols of that height, like Girgaon Cha Raja, have wood inside. Such idols won't dissolve at all, because how deep can you make artificial ponds," he reasoned. Even as the tug of war over PoP was under way, some mandals voluntarily switched to eco-friendly raw material. Rajendra Sawant, secretary of the 77-year-old Ambedkar Nagar mandal in Worli, said, "Our 10 ft idol was usually made of PoP. But after the earlier ban and concerns over environment safety we used a clay idol. This year it is carved from tissue paper. The decision had to be made quickly as we were sceptical about waiting for the decision over PoP immersion. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Private Browsers That Keep You Safe vividtrendlab Undo " You Can Also Check: Mumbai AQI | Weather in Mumbai | Bank Holidays in Mumbai | Public Holidays in Mumbai Abhinay Hate of Kandivali Cha Vighnaharta said their idol is 14 ft tall. "We too were tense about the ban even though we immerse our idol in a pond in any case. But this time there is no confirmation yet for the protocol to be followed at the pond where we usually go. The HC order is a big relief, though." The prominent Chandanwadi Ganeshotsav mandal near Marine Lines hosts a 26 ft tall moorti. Secretary Prathamesh Sakpal said, "Thousands of Ganpati idols are immersed every year amid processions that include lakhs of people. It would be problematic if there was an interruption." In Andheri West, the Saat Bangla Cha Raja stands 22 ft tall. Vice president Amith Kadam said, "Immersion of tall idols beyond 6 ft would have been impossible to execute in artificial tanks. Thanks to the HC order we can now continue our preparations with ease." Santosh Narkar, newly elected chairman of Khetwadi Cha Raja in Girgaum said their idol is 31 ft tall. "Our moortikar Aniket Shevale has carved an outstanding idol this year."

Drake and Bobbi Althoff fallout explained as the duo rekindles their friendship two years after dating rumours and podcast drama

Drake and Bobbi Althoff's relationship started with major internet attention when the rapper appeared on The Really Good Podcast in July 2023. The awkward, dry-toned banter between them went viral almost instantly, helping Bobbi skyrocket from a niche TikToker to one of the most talked-about podcast hosts online. For many, it was the first time seeing the Hotline Bling appear in such a stripped-down, casual setting and it worked. Why did Bobbi Althoff delete her Drake podcast episode? But just as fans were rewatching clips on loop, the full video mysteriously vanished. Bobbi deleted the Drake episode only a month after it aired, and no real explanation was given. That decision quickly fuelled speculation online, with many assuming some kind of behind-the-scenes drama had gone down between the two. Theories about a fallout started circulating on social media, made worse when Bobbi was reportedly kicked out of Drake's SXSW afterparty for showing up without an invite. The duo also ended up unfollowing each other on social media, sparking further speculations. Bobbi Althoff & Drake unfollowed each other on instagram and she seems to have deleted any content from her Drake interview on socials. 🤔 When Bobbi sparked Drake dating rumours after divorce filing The timeline only got messier. In February 2024, Bobbi Althoff filed for divorce from her husband, Cory, with whom she shares two daughters, while also revealing that they had separated in July 2023. That's the exact same month her interview with Drake dropped, leading fans to connect dots that may or may not be real. Romance rumours flooded TikTok and Reddit, but Bobbi was quick to shut them down. She even posted a private DM exchange with Barstool's Dave Portnoy, writing, 'I did not want to do this podcast in the first place, and now so much negativity is coming from it.' Bobbi Althoff shuts down Drake romance speculation—sort of Despite the rumours, both Bobbi and Drake stayed publicly silent about each other for months. The only hint of closure came during a January 2024 interview with Keke Palmer, where Bobbi briefly addressed her experience with the rapper. 'He's a very nice person,' she said, offering neither confirmation nor denial, just a neutral statement that didn't add much to the mystery. Drake tells Bobbi to 'unblock' him in surprise Instagram comment Then came a surprising twist. Recently, Bobbi shared a screenshot of a comment Drake left on one of her Instagram posts: 'UNBLOCK MY NAME FROM YOUR COMMENTS.' Her dry response? 'I'll consider it.' While no one knows why his name was blocked to begin with, the interaction was enough to get fans speculating all over again. It's unclear if the comment was serious or playful, but it was the first public acknowledgement between the two in years, suggesting maybe their alleged beef is cooling off. Who is Bobbi Althoff? Bobbi Althoff is a social media personality and podcast host best known for her deadpan interview style and rapid rise to fame. Originally gaining popularity on TikTok for her satirical 'mom content,' she pivoted into podcasting in 2023 and quickly went viral thanks to interviews with celebrities like Drake, Lil Yachty, and Offset. Her show, The Really Good Podcast, has since become one of the internet's most discussed platforms for awkward celebrity interactions.
