Jacob Elordi, Tom Holland, and Harris Dickinson eyed for Denis Villeneuve's James Bond film: Reports
After Denis Villeneuve was announced as the director of the next James Bond film, rumours of the actor in the runing to play the British spy has once again begun doing the rounds. According to reports, the movie that won't be ready before 2028, is syeing British actors under 30 to take on the role. Contrary to former reports, it has been reported that Amazon is eyeing Jacob Elordi , Tom Holland , and Harris Dickinson to take on the role. Although Elordi is Australian, that doesn't seem to be a problem here. Old fans favorites are like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, and Idris Elba are reportedly unlikely to fit the bill due to their age. Amazon previously expressed their desire to bring Christopher Nolan on board to direct the next Bond film. However, as the director is now busy with his next film The Odyssey, starring Tom Holland, he won't be available for at least a year. Now the studio is reportedly focusing on hiring a screenwriter like Jonathan Nolan who impressed them with his series 'Fallout'. They are also reportedly impressed with his vision for the Bond franchise, but he is not unavailable because of other commitments. Villeneuve, who is Canadian, said he grew up watching Bond films with his father. "I'm a die-hard Bond fan. To me, he's sacred territory," Villeneuve said in a statement released by Amazon. "I intend to honor the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come," he added. "This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honor." Amazon paid nearly $8.45 billion to buy legendary Hollywood studio MGM in 2022, which included distribution rights to Bond's extensive back catalog. But for the subsequent three years, the retail behemoth was met with resistance from Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, the franchise's historic producers who for decades had jealously guarded the governance of one of cinema's most valuable properties. The company run by Jeff Bezos finally reached a financial agreement with the pair in February to take creative control of the franchise.

Who was Tanner Martin? US influencer with colon cancer who announced his own death in video
Tanner Martin, a well-known Utah-based content creator, known for sharing his journey with stage four colon cancer, died at age 30. He addressed his Instagram followers in a pre-recorded emotional video posted on June 25 to the joint account he shared with his wife, Shay Wright. He expressed gratitude to supporters, describing 'life was awesome'. Tanner Martin was a former call centre employee who received a huge online following by publicly stating and showing his cancer journey, reports said. The GoFundMe called Martin as 'a loving husband, a proud father, and a beautiful soul who touched the lives of so many with his courage and humor, even in the face of terminal illness.' Martin turned to social media to document the highs and lows of his journey through treatment, recovery, and ultimately, becoming a father, after being diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer five years ago. With his treatment showing positive results, he and Shay made the decision to start a family in 2023. Their daughter AmyLou was born on 15 May this year. Tragically, Martin's health deteriorated rapidly shortly after that. Despite enduring significant physical suffering, Martin's honesty, humour, and courage resonated with people around the world. He stayed hopeful, funny, and inspiring until the very end. 'I had a heck of a life. I decided to make this video announcing my death because I saw someone did that, like, a year or so ago, and I think it's a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out," he said. 'But you guys, life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here. Hopefully, I believe there's something after this. I'm excited to meet those people, and hopefully we're hanging out now and making fun of all you nerds," Martin added. Martin was seen draped in blankets, and sat beside his newborn daughter in a separate video. He joked, "for the price of a McChicken you could fund my AmyLou's legacy fund." His fans were dejected after the video. "I am so glad Tanner was able to meet AmyLou and have Father's Day with her," one of the users remarked. "Oh tanner... I'm so glad he did this for you Shay it's beautiful. Sending prayers to you and your little girl. Heaven just gained the best angel. Love you," another stated.

'Death is a new adventure': Tanner Martin announces his own death, 41 days after the birth of his daughter
Tanner Martin , a 30-year-old social media influencer from Utah, has died following a five-year battle with stage four colorectal cancer . He announced his death himself—in a five-minute pre-recorded video shared by his wife Shay Wright on 25 June via Instagram. The post was uploaded just over a month after the birth of their daughter, AmyLou . Martin's final message began plainly: 'Hey, it's me, Tanner. If you're watching this, I am dead.' He looked frail but calm. His voice held warmth, even in goodbye. A father's last words 'I had a heck of a life,' Martin said in the clip. 'Life was awesome. I really enjoyed it while I was here.' He explained why he made the video: 'I decided to make this video announcing my death because I saw someone did that, like, a year or so ago, and I think it's a good opportunity to get all your thoughts out.' He thanked his followers and loved ones. 'Thanks again for all your support and helping to make the last years of my life here on earth like fun and enjoyable and helping me be comfortable.' Live Events A new adventure awaits Throughout the video, Martin reflected on death with a mix of fear and hope. 'Death is scary, but it's also like a new adventure, you know?' he said. 'Hopefully there's something after this, and I'm excited to meet those people.' He added, 'I'm excited to see them not in pain and just happy.' Martin mentioned he looked forward to meeting his wife's father and his own grandfather. He signed off simply: 'Anyway, that's what I wanted to share… Love you.' A life shared online Tanner Martin was a former call centre worker who began documenting his cancer journey online after being diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer in 2019. His honesty, dry humour and unflinching updates drew in more than 450,000 followers. They watched as he went through cycles of treatment, moments of hope, and—eventually—decline. In February 2023, Martin told People magazine that his cancer was no longer curable. He had been given a life expectancy of two to five years. Even then, Martin held on to hope. That same year, when his health briefly stabilised, he and Shay decided to start a family. AmyLou was born on 15 May 2025. The joy was brief. Within weeks, his condition worsened again. 'For the price of a McChicken…' In a follow-up video also released by Shay, Martin is seen wrapped in blankets, holding baby AmyLou. He asked viewers to support her future by donating to a GoFundMe campaign . He added with a laugh, 'For the price of a McChicken you could fund my AmyLou's legacy fund.' The fundraiser describes Martin as 'a loving husband, a proud father, and a beautiful soul who touched the lives of so many with his courage and humour, even in the face of terminal illness.' The page also reveals that Martin did not have life insurance, and that providing security for his daughter was his last request. The response to Martin's farewell has been overwhelming. Followers flooded Shay's posts with messages of sympathy, admiration, and heartbreak. 'I am so glad Tanner was able to meet AmyLou and have Father's Day with her,' one user wrote. Another added, 'Heaven just gained the best angel. Love you.' A third said, 'Tanner was truly an inspiration! My heart aches for you all.' Shay captioned the final video with a nod to the couple's love for Star Wars: 'May the force be with you from our angel force ghost.' She also shared additional clips explaining his last wishes and asking the community to support AmyLou's future. Tanner Martin may be gone. But his story—told in his own words, through laughter, tears, and unshakable hope—continues to echo online. In his death, he left behind something rare: a goodbye that felt like a gift.
