Harry Potter star Jessie Cave reveals attempts to gain OnlyFans subscribers
actress Jessie Cave says she has been 'run ragged' trying 'desperately' to keep her OnlyFans subscriber numbers from dwindling.
The star, 38, who portrayed Lavender Brown in the series, joined the site in March to pay off her debts, focusing on her long hair.
She has made it clear that her page will not feature nudity or sexual content, but has now said that refusal is causing her to lose subscribers.
In Substack posts this month, Jessie admitted she has become 'obsessed' with her follower counts, and has even considered moving away from her 'tame' content.
Last week, the mother-of-four said she'd resorted to pouring strawberry milk over her head, leaving her with 'brain freeze'.
But she was left 'disappointed' and 'sad' after her efforts failed to pay off.
Jessie wrote: 'It's been over 100 days of running ragged with my hair, desperately trying to keep up the supply to the OnlyFans content conveyor belt.
'I have lost subscribers. I feel sad about that, but glad that the people who continuously messaged 'nude? When will u be nude? Go nude or I'm gone' have left to pester other creators.
'I did my first wet hair Wednesday that didn't involve water. I poured two bottles of Yazoo strawberry milk over my head and got brain freeze.
'I was really pleased with the video, as the green strappy dress I was wearing looked great contrasted with the pink milk - but was disappointed by the number of people who bought it.'
She also shared her disappointment after realizing the popularity of one of her recent videos was because she had accidentally worn sheer pantyhose.
Jessie confessed that receiving the influx of extra tops from subscribers made her consider how much easier it would be if she stripped off but said she knew she would come to regret it.
She wrote: 'I did a video of me plaiting my hair last week in a T-shirt and black tights.
'I didn't watch the video back before I posted and wondered why it had gotten so many likes and tips later that evening.
'It turns out the tights were a little see-through and I was wearing flesh-colored [panties]. Is it that simple?
'It would be so easy to go down to my knickers and bra, but how would I feel in two months' time? Yes, the subscribers are going down because I'm tame.'
Jessie said she was consumed with making content and 'agonizes' over her subscriber count and views, despite being 'so close' to the financial goal she set when she joined the site.
She wrote: 'I don't remember not being obsessed with social media. I don't consume it, but I agonize about numbers, afraid that if they drop, I will lose customers and lose an income and suddenly it's all over and I'm back to being desperate.'
Revealing the level of effort she puts into trying to keep her subscribers happy, she admitted she recently spent over $400 just to create a new background for filming.
She recalled: 'Recently I spent $400 on linen sheets as some people commented that they were bored with my background.
'How deeply pathetic of me to dash to John Lewis to buy some super king sheets because a man was bored with me.'
It comes a month after Jessie confessed that she still feels 'shame' and 'a little gross' over her decision to join OnlyFans, but needed the money.
Despite speaking openly about the work, she admitted the pitfalls, saying: 'It's gotten a little nasty. I feel a little gross, a little scared. I am receiving too many lurid messages and don't like being sent unsolicited d***s...
'No matter how many times I say I am not doing sexual content, I get a message within two seconds asking to see [sperm] in my hair or if I would just please f***ing consider full frontal.'
'Niche hair content': Her page says she offers 'niche hair content'
In April, Jessie revealed she has roped her partner, Alfie Brown - with whom she shares four children - into helping her create content, by recruiting him to spank her with her hair in plaits.
She wrote on Substack: 'I tried to get a video of [Alfie] holding my plaits and gently spanking my back with them but I laughed too much...
'I plaited my hair in red lace gloves and did a video of me trying to do plaits with handcuffs on (my kids got the handcuffs at a magic shop).'
In heartbreaking fashion, she added that the couple's money struggles were an indication of 'failure' in her work as an actress and artist.
She said: 'It's proof of my failure to make (or rather, keep hold of) money as an actress and writer. I've got nothing to show for 18 years of work in the arts industry...
'I've rented for 18 years and drained all my money on that and self-funding my YouTube videos or Edinburgh shows.'
