3 facing charges after months-long drug investigation in middle GA

On Feb.11, the GBI, Bibb County authorities and other law enforcement agencies conducted a search warrant at a home in Macon. Officials said this comes after a multi-month investigation.
During the search, the GBI said agents found 168 grams of suspected marijuana, 447 grams of suspected K2/Spice, five grams of suspected crack cocaine, and nine grams of unknown/unpackaged pills.
Agents also seized three rifles, one of which was stolen from Warner Robins, four handguns, two vehicles, and $1,700 in cash.

The GBI arrested Neico Tomorris Sandifer, 46, of Macon, Shawanda Carswell, 40, of Milledgeville and William Hancock, 30, of Macon.
Sandifer was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, seven counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, and possession of gabapentin.
Carswell was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and has more charges pending.
Hancock was charged with probation violation.
The trio was booked into the Bibb County Jail.

Couple killed in wine cellar mishap with dry ice as they prep for July 4 bash : reports
A Texas couple preparing for an Independence Day party was found dead in their wine cellar after being knocked out from a chemical reaction to dry ice, police said. Houston cops responded to the Avalon Park home on Friday night on a fatal 'hazardous material incident,' and found the married couple dead in the cellar, according to reports. The unidentified pair was allegedly getting ready to entertain when they were overcome due to a chemical reaction to melting dry ice, killing them both, KHOU-TV News reported. Police in Houston said a couple in the city was 'overcome' by carbon dioxide from dry ice in their home on Friday. KHOU The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said dry ice could be lethal if not handled and stored properly. Cornel Putan – 'There was dry ice being stored in the wine cellar,' Housing police Lt. Larry Crowson told the outlet. 'When dry ice melts, it turns into carbon dioxide [gas]. Unfortunately, it appears the two people who went into the wine cellar were overcome.' Dry ice is colder than frozen water and stays in solid form longer, but has a downside. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cautions that dry ice, which is carbon dioxide in solid form, is potentially toxic and should be handled and stored properly to avoid a lethal outcome. In its gaseous form, carbon dioxide can cause serious injury or death, the agency said. According to Fox affiliate KRIV-TV News, firefighters arriving at the Houston home Friday detected a chemical smell and had to don breathing apparatus to go inside, where the bodies were found. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The uncle of one of the members of the legendary hip-hop duo Outkast was gunned down during a deadly road rage shooting on an Atlanta street last month. Remoin Patton, 62, was found dead by police on the 200 block of Joseph E. Lowery Blvd NW. just after 5:30 p.m. on June 16, the Atlanta Police Department said. Patton's nephew is Antwan 'Big Boi' Patton, who founded the iconic group with André Lauren Benjamin – better known by his stage name André 3000 – in 1992. 7 Outkast's Big Boi's uncle Remoin Patton was shot and killed during a road range shooting in Atlanta on June 16, 2025. Teens charged in road rage shooting along I-20
A road rage incident turned violent, leaving two people hospitalized. According to Richmond County deputies, two people were taken to Doctors Hospital and are currently stable. Their identities were not released.
