Kajol does THIS to keep her marriage with Ajay Devgn alive: 'It is partial...'
Bollywood star Kajol, loved for her wit and enduring screen presence, as well as her off-screen chemistry with her husband, Ajay Devgn. Recently, she shared her secret formula for a successful marriage — one that blends humour, patience, and a good dose of 'selective hearing.'
In an interview with Mashable India, she opened up about how she and husband Ajay Devgn maintain harmony despite their starkly different personalities. Kajol's secret formula for a successful marriage
Kajol, who is known to be talkative and expressive, contrasted her nature with Ajay's calm and quiet demeanour. When asked how they make their relationship work, she quipped, 'Oh, I say that quite often that the secret to a happy marriage is partial deafness and selective amnesia.'
She laughed and elaborated further, saying, 'Kuch cheezein bhoolni bohot zaruri hai, aur kuch cheezein na sunni bohot zaruri hai.' (It's very important to forget certain things, and equally important not to hear some things.)
In the same conversation, Kajol also revealed an unexpected side of Ajay — his hidden culinary skills. She described him as one of the best cooks she has known, praising his remarkable ability to replicate dishes perfectly just by tasting them once. 'Unki khaasiyat hai, vo kisi bhi cheez ko ek baar taste karte hai, he would know how to make it exactly the same.' She added playfully, 'He would never tell you his secret ingredients for his recipes.' Kajol and Ajay Devgn's love story
Kajol and Ajay Devgn's love story is one that has withstood the test of time. For those of you who don't know, the couple first met in 1995 on the sets of Hulchul. Maa Day 2 Box Office: Kajol starrer shows healthy 30 percent growth to net Rs 6.25 crore on Saturday; Will it emerge a success?
Maa directed by Vishal Furia and starring Kajol, Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta and a bunch of other actors, grew by around 30 percent on day 2, to net Rs 6 - 6.50 crore net. The growth is healthy and while there was scope for better growth, this is pretty acceptable since the movie, in the first place, was not a non-starter. Also, the movie was slightly aided by discount offers on the first day, so the 30 percent growth on Saturday starts looking a lot better. Maa Nets Rs 6.25 Crore On Day 2; 2 Day Total Stands At Rs 11 Crore Clubbed with Rs 4.75 crore net on day 1, the two day total of Maa stands at Rs 11 crore. The Sunday number should be in the Rs 6.75 - 7 crore vicinity, for a Rs 17.75 - 18 crore net India weekend. These collections should be seen very positively since there are coming amidst stiff competition from F1 and Sitaare Zameen Par. Despite being the lowest grosser of the three this weekend, it is the best performer in mass circuits. The presence of Kajol, along with the lucrativeness of the supernatural genre and the connection to Shaitaan, seems to have served the film well. The Day Wise Net India Collections Of Maa In India Are As Under Maa Faces Stiff Competition At The Box Office Next Week After the weekend, it will be very crucial for Maa to hold strong. This is because the film based on Kali Maa faces two new rivals next week in the form of Metro... In Dino and Jurassic World Rebirth. Maa box office collection day 2: Kajol's film shows slight improvement, collects ₹10 crore
Maa box office collection Day 2: After a gap of three years, Kajol returned to the big screen with Vishal Furia's mythological horror film Maa. The film opened to mixed reviews from moviegoers and critics, and had a dull opening, earning only ₹ 4.65 crore. The first Saturday showed slight improvement. Maa box office collection day 2: Kajol in a still from the film in the Shaitaan universe. According to the trade tracking site Sacnilk, Maa collected ₹ 4.65 crore on Day 1 of its release and now, on Day 2, the film has collected ₹ 5.4 crore. Despite the mixed reviews, the film remained steady at the box office, taking its domestic total to ₹ 10.05 crore. The film had a 22.36% Hindi occupancy on the first Saturday, with 9.94% in morning shows, 26.87% in afternoon shows, and 30.26% in evening shows. While Kajol's performance in the movie was unanimously praised, many felt the film did not land the horror aspects well and played it safe. Many moviegoers appreciated the film's VFX, but some felt that it dragged in the second half. The mixed reviews have clearly impacted the film's box office performance. Meanwhile, the film was released alongside Vishnu Manchu's star-studded Kannappa, which collected ₹ 9.35 crore on the opening day but saw a drop in its collection on Day 2. About Maa Produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande and Kumar Mangat Pathak, Maa stars Kajol as the fearless mother who goes to extreme lengths to save her daughter from a demonic curse that puts their lives at risk. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, and Kherin Sharma. An excerpt from Hindustan Times' review of the film reads, 'The film pins its ambitions on the story of Goddess Kali and Raktabija, an epic premise no doubt. One drop of the demon's blood, which fell to the Earth, creates a monster that terrorises the village for decades. Sounds great on paper. But the film takes ages to set the mood in the first half. You are neither scared nor sucked into this world. The second half sets things into motion, for a buildup to a climax that should have felt more pacy. And more impactful.'
