Kajol and Ajay Devgn worked together in 8, four of which were super flops, these films are.... In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, lines between real and reel life are often blurred. The on-screen chemistry that we see in films is often idealised and hailed, and remains etched in the hearts of the audience. But if a real-life couple plays a romantic role on screen, it's even more appreciated and becomes a formula for a successful film. However, it's not always the case. But there is one real-life Bollywood couple who have done everything from intense drama to romantic tale together on screen, while some garnered a lot of love and attention, others turned out to be a flop. The couple that we are talking about is none other than Ajay Devgn and Kajol. The duo has delivered 8 films together, 4 of which turned out to be a flop. Gundaraj The first film that the duo did together was Gundaraj. It was released in the year 1995. It was an action drama; however, it did not perform well at the box office. Ishq Following that, the pair delivered another film in 1996 titled Ishq. The multi-starrer film was a comedy-drama that also featured stars including Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. The chemistry between Ajay and Kajol was widely hailed, and it turned out to be a blockbuster. Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. A year later, in 1999, they again delivered a superhit called Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. The film further cemented their iconic pairing, and what's interesting is that during the shoot of this film, they were also dating in real life. Their sizzling off-screen also transcended on-screen, and the film turned out to be a blockbuster. Dil Kya Kare In 1999, Kajol played Ajay's wife in Dil Kya Kare. Although the film received mixed reviews, it did well commercially and was declared a box office hit. Raju Chacha In 2000, the duo appeared in the multi-starrer film 'Raju Chacha'. Despite featuring many big names in the film, it turned out to be a flop. U Me Aur Hum In 2008, the duo appeared in the film U Me Aur Hum. In this film, Ajay wore the hat of both a director and an actor. While the plot had an emotional narrative, it couldn't resonate with the audience and turned out to be a flop. Toonpur Ka Superhero Two years later, the duo again delivered a film in 2010 with Toonpur Ka Superhero. Unfortunately, this live-action-animated film which they again played husband and wife, also couldn't resonate with the audience and flopped at the box office. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. After delivering a streak of flops, the duo made a comeback with Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior in 2020. This film became a massive blockbuster with both of them receiving the much-needed appreciation. Despite the highs and lows, Ajay Devgn and Kajol have always remained a fan-favourite couple, whether it's on screen or off screen.

Most expensive Bollywood fop film, Ajay Devgn and Kajol played lead roles, was full of stars, film was.., budget was Rs... In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, where the formula of success remains unresolved, a promising star cast is often considered a coveted asset. However, even after this, there are films that don't deliver as per the expectations and fail to strike a chord. One such similar tale is of a film that featured celebrated actors of its time, yet the promising combination didn't hit the mark. Raju Chacha – High Expectations That Remained Unmet The film we are talking about is none other than Raju Chacha. Released in the year 2000, this film featured a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Sanjay Dutt, and Rishi Kapoor. But the lead, Ajay Devgn, wasn't just acting in the film; he also ventured into the role of producer for this film with the support of his father, Veeru Devgn. Since the film featured real-life partners Ajay and Kajol and other stellar actors in supporting roles, the expectations were high. How Much did Raju Chacha Earn? Despite the high expectations, the film felt flat at the box office, even after its grand scale of production and popular faces. The film was made on a budget of Rs 25 crores, making it one of the expensive films of the year. However, it only collected Rs. 20 crores, falling short of recovering its budget. This failure not only cost financially, but it also left a deep setback for Ajay Devgan. Kajol Devgn once revealed in an interview that Ajay was emotionally distressed after Raju Chacha's failure. The plot of the film revolved around a single father and his three children, with Ajay Devgan playing the role of an outsider who becomes involved in a property inheritance plot. Kajol played the role of the kids' caretaker., However, the audience couldn't connect with the story, and it received only 5.1 on IMDb Raju Chacha's story shows that sometimes even the biggest star cast and huge investment cannot guarantee box office success.

During an interview with News18 Showsha, Kajol looked back at the time when she was pregnant, adding that she and Ajay are happy not to be changing their children Nysa and Yug's nappies. Kajol said, 'I don't think we ever functioned that way. We share responsibilities. If I'm there, I do things. If he's there, he does it. It's as simple as that. The best thing is that our children don't need to get their nappies changed anymore... When Nysa and Yug were babies, Ajay did change their nappies once or twice. He may tell you that he did it more than two times but I would've to disagree on that point." She added, 'We've passed that stage and nobody needs to take that responsibility anymore. We're good. Today, it's more about supervision and talking to our children about their issues. It's much easier to swap those roles around'. Kajol admitted that she was 'pretty much chill' when she was pregnant with Yug, who she gave birth to in September 2010. She said that she worked out a lot throughout both her pregnancies and that gave her a huge boost. About Kajol and Ajay's relationship Kajol has been married to Ajay for over two decades.
