'It's likely the last sitting, but I can't announce the date yet. Be patient. Not long now,' he told reporters on Tuesday after the session. Hajiji confirmed that discussions with political partners on seat allocations are ongoing and will be finalised before the assembly is dissolved. He emphasised that the current government is based on a GRS-Pakatan Harapan alliance. Reflecting on his administration's term, Hajiji said his government had done its best over the past five years, implementing reforms in welfare, education, infrastructure, and legacy issues like water supply. 'Much has been done, but challenges remain, such as water issues we inherited. However, upgrades are underway. Other initiatives include road improvements, student support, housing aid, and broader welfare programmes,' he said, urging voters to give GRS another mandate. Sabah targets sustainable water supply, phased pipe replacement

Assistant Works Minister Datuk Limus Jury said JANS is focusing on delivering safe, treated water through high-impact projects in rural and urban areas, while also preparing for the 13MP by proposing masterplans for all districts and a state-wide Water Grid strategy. JANS has also submitted priority proposals to the federal government, including replacing old pipes in Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, and Sandakan, and implementing a Non-Revenue Water (NRW) programme in Keningau and Beaufort. Limus added that JANS plans to build 22 pre-sedimentation tanks under the 13MP and supports alternative supply initiatives like rainwater harvesting, though its role is limited to treated water distribution. Sabah not ready to bid for oil block, says Masidi

He told the State Assembly that the Mutiara PSC, recently awarded to Dialog Group Berhad, was part of an international bid and still in the exploration stage. Masidi assured that Sabah's interests remain protected under the Commercial Collaboration Agreement with Petronas, and hinted at future involvement by SMJ. In response to opposition leader Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal's criticism over Sabah's exclusion, Masidi said the government prefers 'quiet but consistent' efforts over rhetoric.
