The Sun is keeping the identity of the axed cast quiet to preserve the surprise for viewers, but can reveal that the mass dumping included two OG stars.
The scenes will play out over the next few episodes.
A source said: 'Everyone knows a dumping comes after a public vote but no one expected it to be a double eviction.
'The four Islanders have already left the villa but will be much missed by the cast and viewers alike, as they have all been a big part of the drama.
'Viewers haven't played it safe with their choices either and have really swung the axe.'
It comes as some of the show's strongest couples have hit the rocks weeks before the final.
Last night Meg exploded at Andrada for listening to her chat with Dejon, after the pair got very flirty in Casa Amor.
And Casa Amor girl Lauren was in floods of tears when Harrison snuck off to the terrace with Toni.
But Love Island fans were completely obsessed as Toni recreated an iconic Ekin-Su moment.
She crawled across the terrace to speak to Harrison after the dramatic movie night twist.

She also admitted she was "happier" with Harrison - despite being in a romantic couple with Cacherel 'Cach' Mercer.
Tonight, Harry and Helena are tested once again.
Harry pulls his ex girlfriend Emma Munro for a chat and their flirty antics leave air hostess Helena shaken.
Love Island bosses have also been clearing the decks as the ITV2 show final draws closer.
Last week Maya Jama hosted a very dramatic evening as SIX Islanders ended up being brutally dumped in the wake of Casa Amor.
Rheo, Emily, Gio, Yaz, Chris and Martin pack their bags after failing to find lasting connections during Casa.
During the cull, host Maya Jama was praised for calling out Harry and Helena for laughing at Harry's Casa Amor antics.

As a result, Ty wasted no time in insisting the decision to axe Tommy and Lucy was Shakira's and not his. He was seen speaking to Meg Moore and Helena Ford, despite their bumpy relationship with Shakira - and fans were not impressed. One wrote: 'F*** TY for immediately dissing shakira to her opps in the house and laughing with them, you can go home next.' Another said: 'Ty going straight to shakira's opps diabolical.' And a third added: 'Ty is not nice he went to Meg Helena to speak bad about Shakira! At least Conor is nice to Shakira.' Shakira chose to couple up with Ty after the Islanders were reunited following the Casa Amor twist. But last night she told him: "Being completely honest, right now my head would be with Conor." Ty replied: "I appreciate your honesty." Shakira left fans divided with her decision to break things off with Ty. Furious Love Islanders slam Shakira as she sends couple home in shock dumping decision One wrote: "She could have just stayed with him until the end and easily won… but she followed her heart not the money." But another said: "Poor Ty :( He does deserve someone for him."

Love Island slammed with over 400 Ofcom complaints in a week as fans hit out at Helena and Movie Night

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) LOVE Island has been hit with 432 Ofcom complaints after its most explosive week yet. There were three main issues irking viewers last week, sparking a barrage of complaints to the broadcasting watchdog. Among them were derogatory posts about foreigners, which The Sun is not repeating. A source close to Helena told us: "These tweets are not reflective of the language Helena would use as a 30 year old woman and she would acknowledge she has done a lot of growing up since what she very naively posted over eight years ago." Other viewers were unhappy with the way Shakira Khan was portrayed during Movie Night. In a clip played to the villa, Shakira could be seen repeatedly bashing villa rivals Meg Moore and Helena. It certainly portrayed her in a very negative light, but missing from the edit was the context behind her outbursts as well as things that had been said about her. One viewer wrote on X: "Love Island is going to make out the mean girls are Shakira and Toni when it's been Meg and Helena." They added: "It's giving rigged if they don't show what Meg, Helena and Harry have actually been like and what they've been saying!" Others felt Shakira had been given a "mean girl" edit and clips, such as when Meg and Helena claimed she was grafting everyone and probably even fancied the villa plants, missed the cut. In addition, there were also various accusations of bullying regarding different unnamed Islanders. Despite having sex with partner Lauren twice in recent days, he pulled ex Toni for a secret chat on the terrace last night ahead of the recoupling. He told her that he still had feelings for her and made a desperate plea for her to pick him. Viewers felt the show had been manipulated to make it appear Jack was going to cheat, when in fact he wasn't. And poor Dani didn't learn the truth for days. Maura fury: Although she later won over the public, Maura Higgins got off to a bad start in 2019. After arriving as a bombshell, she made a beeline for Tommy Fury - who was coupled up with Molly-Mae Hague - and tried to kiss him while straddling him on a daybed. 709 people accused her actions of being 'sexual harassment'. Faye explodes: The 2021 series of Love Island remains the most complained series about yet. 4,330 complaints were made to Ofcom after Faye Winter received a postcard from Casa Amor, which appeared to show her fella Teddy Soares kissing a bombshell. But a whopping 24,763 complaints flooded in when Faye came face-to-face with Teddy again. Faye's shocking outburst even sparked a reaction from male domestic abuse charity, ManKind Initiative, who branded her 'unacceptable'. Bish bash: The following year, the fallout from Movie Night sparked 3,617 Ofcom complaints. Fans of the show were horrified by Luca Bish's harsh reaction when Gemma Owen was shown speaking to bombshell Billy Brown. Muggy Mitch: Almost 1,000 Ofcom complaints flooded in from viewers unimpressed with Mitchel Taylor's treatment of Abi Moores. They felt he was 'targeting' her and even urged Love Island bosses to check on Abi's 'mental health and welfare'.
