Fever Coach Stephanie White Addresses Caitlin Clark Decision
The Indiana Fever recently defeated Brittney Griner and the Atlanta Dream, 99-82.
While much of the attention surrounded the win for the Fever, a decision by head coach Stephanie White was highlighted in the pregame press conference.

Ahead of their matchup against Atlanta, White spoke on several changes in the starting lineup. She decided to start Lexie Hull against the Dream, but just one game prior, White went with Aari McDonald alongside Caitlin Clark in the backcourt.
While fans believed that a potential change was coming, with McDonald taking over for Hull in the lineup, White made it clear that it was a situational decision.
She mentioned that having a point guard next to Clark, especially one that can facilitate and give Clark the ability to score as an off-ball player, suited their previous matchup against the Golden State Valkyries.
While the decision for White was simply flip-flopping McDonald and Hull, it centered around Clark, to give the Fever star a chance to score at a high level.

Before defeating the Dream, Indiana suffered an 80-61 loss to Golden State.
All was normal in the lineup against the Atlanta Dream. Lexie Hull was back in the starting lineup and it seems to have worked out well for Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever.
They defeated one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference by 17 points and Hull finished the game with five points, five rebounds and three assists.

New York Liberty vs. Indiana Fever: Will Caitlin Clark play tonight?
Caitlin Clark must feel pretty frustrated right about now. Clark left last night's game against the Connecticut Sun with a groin injury, and her status tonight as the Fever prepare to play the New York Liberty remains questionable. Fever coach addresses physicality directed at Caitlin Clark after latest injury: 'It just is what it is'
Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White addressed the constant physicality star guard Caitlin Clark continues to face in the league after Clark went down with what appeared to be a groin injury during Tuesday night's win over the Connecticut Sun. Speaking to reporters after the 85-77 win. White was asked about her thoughts on the "physical battle" Clark has faced – both throughout the season and in Tuesday's game. "Are you trying to get me fined again?" White asked with a laugh, before expanding on her answer. "There's a level of physicality that they're able to play with against her. I knew it as an opponent, and I see it as her coach. I'm not exactly sure why, it just is what it is," she said. "We've got to help her learn to adjust and use it against them in certain ways. We've got to find some ways to make it a little easier for her." Admittedly, White added that the WNBA as a whole has seen more physical play on the court than ever before. "The level of physicality overall in our league has been at a different level than it's been for a long time. "I'm sending it to you," she said to the reporters with a wink. Clark appeared to re-injure her groin late in the game, which could sideline the All-Star captain ahead of Saturday night's game. She made a pass, and as she walked off the court appeared to grab at her leg. Clark was on the sideline in tears. In the team's latest update on Wednesday morning, Clark was listed as questionable with a groin injury. The Fever will play the New York Liberty in Brooklyn at 7:30 p.m. ET.
