Diana Vickers backs ‘sexy' Sabrina Carpenter amid album cover backlash as she opens up on sex and orgasms in new podcast

DIANA Vickers has thrown her support behind Sabrina Carpenter after the pop superstar faced backlash for her provocative new album cover.
US siren Sabrina came in for criticism for the Man's Best Friend image, which shows her on all fours as a man holds a fistful of her hair.

The pint-sized singer then released an alternative version, recreating a classic Marilyn Monroe photo, and joked it had been "approved by God".
But Diana, 33, whose new podcast Just Between Us with relationship guru Alice Giddings debuted this week, doesn't believe Sabrina should be judged for how she uses her own body.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, she said: "I absolutely love Sabrina Carpenter, I think she's amazing.
"I think she's absolutely gorgeous and playful and beautiful and talented and I just rate her. I think that women should be able to be sexy and do whatever they want with their bodies and not have any judgement.
"I think that we think that we're moving forward but sometimes you go on TikTok and look at comments and there's these trolls, isn't there? You think that you're taking a step forward but people are so quickly to turn and judge about female bodies and being over sexual, but then people say if you're not sexual enough then they judge you as well, it's like women sometimes just can't get it right and it's hard.
"People are always going to say something, but I think that she is absolutely, I'm obsessed with that girl, so I think go for it girl."
Diana, who found fame in 2009 when she reached the semi-final of The X Factor, has always been an open book when it comes to her own love life.
She even turns her dating past into hilarious comedy songs on her other podcast Ki & Dee.
Now she's being more candid than ever, exploring topics including female orgasms and losing virginity.
"I've always just been quite open about who I am and I don't hide away from those conversations," she said.

"We had a caller the other day and she was talking about losing her virginity and we just have to sort of open up and talk about all of our experiences, and I guess I've never really spoken about that publicly before, but you sort of just get stuck in and end up having a really interesting conversation and learning about everyone's different experiences.
"A caller rang me the other week and she couldn't have any orgasms. No table is left unturned and you've sort of just got to deep dive in."
When it comes to her own love life, finding time to fit in dates around her hectic work schedule is proving tough.
Single and ready to mingle, Diana, 33, recently squeezed in a brunch date and found herself getting to know a guy over eggs and avocado.

She said: "I do think with me it's quite important to be with someone that's in the creative industry, I've always sort of gone for those people and I think that it helps understand because it's all a bit mad, there's no schedule, it's all over the place.
"I'm super creative and I need someone to connect with and understand me.
"I think some people have been a bit overwhelmed by things before, about how fast paced things go with me."
A creative powerhouse, Diana scored a number one in 2009 with both her debut single, Once, and album, Songs from The Tainted Cherry Tree.
Her follow up LP, Music to Make Boys Cry, charted at 37.
In the years since, Diana has made a name for herself on stage, most recently playing Gwyneth Paltrow in I Wish You Well - a comedic musical retelling the actress's 2023 court case in which she was sued after colliding with a man on a ski slope.
But Diana hasn't forgotten her first love of creating original music, and we could soon hear new material.
She said: "I have got some stuff there and it's really, really good, and I have got a team around me that we are working on. It's just now about when to launch it sort of thing, but it's really good and it's really exciting, and I do want the world to hear it.
"I've said I'll always make a comeback for the gays and the girlies, I have a really big gay following and this year I headlined Edinburgh Pride. I do a lot of gay gigs and they just really, really love it."

Michael Madsen's shell-shocked son and estranged wife rush to Reservoir Dogs star's home after his death at 67

Michael Madsen's heartbroken family rushed to the late actor's Malibu home on Thursday just hours after his shocking passing at age 67. The Reservoir Dogs star was found 'unresponsive' inside his residence early Thursday morning, with his manager reporting 'cardiac arrest' as the cause of death. Madsen's estranged wife DeAnna, 64 — who he accused of driving their 26-year-old son Hudson to suicide — looked shell-shocked in photos obtained by as she arrived at the house they once shared. A brunette man, who looked to be Madsen's son Max, 31, appeared to console his longtime stepmom DeAnna as she spoke to him in the driveway. Standing beside them was Madsen's eldest son Christian, 35, who hid his grief behind a pair of dark-tinted sunglasses. After connecting with DeAnna, the two brothers, who were born during Madsen's relationship with ex-wife Jeannine Bisignano, 68, ventured around their late father's property together. Madsen's youngest son Luke, 19, was also spotted at the scene. Madsen's youngest son Luke, 19, was also spotted at the scene The teenager, donning a cowboy hat, was photographed exiting the home's garage as a black Chrysler vehicle, seemingly belonging to the coroner, backed into it. Luke is one of three sons — including Kalvin, 28, who was not pictured at the house on Thursday, and the late Hudson, 26 — Madsen shares with wife DeAnna. An eyewitness told that Luke eventually left the Malibu home with his brothers Max and Christian in a black Ford Bronco. A white Range Rover was also pictured in the driveway on Thursday. It's unclear if DeAnna is still at the residence. Madsen was found 'unresponsive' at his Malibu home early Thursday morning, can confirm. Deputies responded to the Los Angeles County home after a 911 call early Thursday. Madsen was pronounced dead at the home. The star's manager claimed to that Madsen had died from 'cardiac arrest.' His lawyer said the actor - known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill - was battling an alcohol addiction before he tragically died. Hours after his death, obtained exclusive photos of Madsen's heartbroken family — including his estranged wife DeAnna — gathering outside his house. A man who looked to be Madsen's son Max, 31, consoled DeAnna while standing in the home's driveway as more family members arrived. Madsen's eldest son Christian, 35, and his youngest son Luke, 19, also appeared to be at the scene. A statement from the star's representatives to read: 'In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life. 'Madsen was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems. 'Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many.' Madsen was best known for his frequent collaborations with director Quentin Tarantino, starring in Reservoir Dogs (1992), Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), The Hateful Eight (2015), and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). He also starred in 1997's Donnie Brasco as Sonny Black. Madsen is survived by his five children, wife DeAnna and his actress sister Virginia Madsen. His son Hudson died by suicide in 2022 aged 26. Perry Wander, who has represented the star for 20 years, said the Kill Bill icon had 'many struggles'. 'I just spoke to Michael two days ago,' Wander told Daily Mail, admitting that 'I knew he was not well.' 'Michael was suffering from the effects of alcoholism. He had multiple stints in and out of rehab. He struggled to maintain his sobriety. He was not happy about his life.' Madsen was also facing a crippling legal battle with his estranged wife, which saw the pair fighting over child support and other finances, his lawyer claimed. 'I blame her for putting in the screws over his last years of life,' Wander said, alleging the legal battle, which saw his passport be 'maliciously revoked', impacted his ability to travel and work abroad. 'Michael lived a life of regrets - those regrets being his two marriages,' he added. Virginia paid emotional tribute to Madsen in a statement to Variety, which read: 'My brother Michael has left the stage. He was thunder and velvet. Mischief wrapped in tenderness. A poet disguised as an outlaw. A father, a son, a brother — etched in contradiction, tempered by love that left its mark. 'We're not mourning a public figure. We're not mourning a myth — but flesh and blood and ferocious heart. Who stormed through life loud, brilliant, and half on fire. Who leaves us echoes — gruff, brilliant, unrepeatable — half legend, half lullaby. 'I'll miss our inside jokes, the sudden laughter, the sound of him. I'll miss the boy he was before the legend; I miss my big brother. Thank you to everyone reaching out with love and memory. In time, we'll share how we plan to celebrate his life — but for now, we stay close, and let the silence say what words can't.' He was first wed to Georganne LaPiere, half-sister of singer and actress Cher from 1984-1988. He welcomed a daughter named Jessica with Dana Mechling. He was married to Jeannine Bisignano from 1991 to 1995. They have two sons, Christian and Max. In 1996, he married DeAnna. Together they had three sons, Luke, Kalvin and Hudson. His death comes 11 months after his domestic violence case - where he was accused of shoving wife DeAnna - was dismissed due to 'insufficient evidence.' 'We are thrilled that Michael Madsen is able to put this behind him and look forward to our continued collaboration with more great things coming from this veteran and respected actor,' his representative said at the time. The star was arrested for domestic violence amid claims he got physical with his spouse. He also allegedly locked her out of their home, which is located in the Los Angeles area. The Reservoir Dogs star was given a misdemeanor domestic violence charge at the time. He also had to spend part of his weekend in jail, before posting a $20,000 bond. Days later in a statement to THR, Madsen's lawyer Perry Wander insisted that his client was 'not guilty of domestic violence.' A representative for the star confirmed the incident saying: 'It was a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both.' Madsen filed for divorce from DeAnna in September 2024 - and in court papers obtained by he accused his estranged wife of driving their son to die by suicide 'by her neglect, drinking and alcoholism.' A month later, he issued a regretful Instagram statement apologizing for his claims and denying he had wanted to end their marriage. He said: 'Losing a child is the hardest and most painful experience that can happen in this world. I deeply apologize for not correcting this earlier but I love my wife and our other 4 children and have no desire for divorce or blame. Madsen filed for divorce from DeAnna in September 2024 - and in court papers obtained by he accused his estranged wife of driving their son to die by suicide 'by her neglect, drinking and alcoholism'; the couple seen in 2005 'She had absolutely nothing to do with what happened to our son. It was a horrible loss and choice that was made for reasons that truly cannot ever be known because the person is gone, I don't think my son is dead , I think he escaped from a life that didn't make sense anymore.' It wasn't Madsen's first brush with the law. In 2022 the Hollywood actor was arrested for trespassing at a luxury house from which he was evicted, reported. It was a $5.3 million Malibu mansion just across the Pacific Coast Highway from La Costa Beach. A source exclusively told at the time: 'Michael had been living at the house since last year, but the lease was in another person's name.' The house was leased out by another person and several thousand dollars were owed in back rent, has learned. The owner had tried for the past two years to get the tenants evicted, but because of the moratorium on evictions on account of Covid, it took several months to go through the legal process. His arrest came just a month after his son, US Army Sgt. Hudson Madsen shot himself dead on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where he was stationed with the 25th Infantry Division. Hudson was an Afghan war vet. Hudson's death came a week after his wife Carlie underwent surgery to remove a tumor from her breast. 'I am in shock as my son, whom I just spoke with a few days ago, said he was happy - my last text from him was "I love you dad,"' he told the Los Angeles Times. 'I didn't see any signs of depression. It's so tragic and sad. I'm just trying to make sense of everything and understand what happened.' Madsen said his son's marriage was 'going strong' and he had recently completed his first tour in the U.S. Army. 'He had typical life challenges that people have with finances, but he wanted a family. He was looking towards his future, so its mind-blowing. I just can't grasp what happened.' Madsen has requested a full military investigation into his son's death. The actor thinks 'the officers and rank and file were shaming' Hudson for wanting therapy. He believes this stopped him from seeking help for mental health issues he had been keeping to himself. In 2019, the actor was axed from a $100,000 role in movie Confessions of a Serial Killer after crashing his Land Rover into a pole and subsequently being arrested for DUI. He was later sentenced to four days in jail. In 2012 he was also arrested for DUI after driving erratically but struck a plea deal that involved attending AA meetings in lieu of more severe punishment. However, after Madsen failed to attend his court ordered Alcoholics Anonymous meetings his probation was revoked. That same year he was arrested at his Malibu home after allegedly getting into a physical fight with his son after catching him smoking marijuana. The actor was being held in jail on $100,000 bail after being charged with child endangerment with cruelty to a child: a felony charge, which means it is considered a crime of high seriousness. He did not face any charges after his arrest for suspected child endangerment.

Disneyland announces closing date for beloved attraction during 70th anniversary celebration

Disneyland has announced that The Haunted Mansion will close temporarily this summer as part of its 70th anniversary season. The closure is set to begin on Monday, August 11. But, thankfully for fans, the popular ride is expected to return just 11 days later, reopening on August 22 in its seasonal form as Haunted Mansion Holiday. This special version features a makeover inspired by Tim Burton 's The Nightmare Before Christmas. While Disneyland has not officially stated the reason for the August closure, the timeline matches up with past years when the ride transforms into a holiday-theme. Haunted Mansion Holiday typically remains open through both Halloween and Christmas, and is scheduled to run until January 7, 2026. In 2024, the holiday version of the attraction opened earlier than usual in July. That early debut followed a lengthy closure that allowed Disneyland to complete several major updates to the ride. Enhancements included a more accessible elevator for guests with disabilities, revamped landscaping around the attraction, and the debut of Madame Leota's Somewhere Beyond gift shop. When the original Haunted Mansion returned in early 2025, guests were introduced to a newly updated version of the Bride, one of the ride's key characters. Though Haunted Mansion Holiday features the same general decorations each year, one element that changes annually is the gingerbread house in the ballroom scene. This centerpiece is custom-built and remains a fan favorite. The temporary closure of such a beloved ride is not unusual, especially during seasonal transitions, but still typically upsets fans regardless, as some plan their visit specifically for the Haunted Mansion. That being said, fans of the original Haunted Mansion have just over a month left to experience the classic version before the holiday takeover begins. For those who prefer the spooky charm of the holiday edition, the August 22 reopening will mark the return of Jack Skellington, Zero, and other familiar faces from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Haunted Mansion remains one of Disneyland's most iconic attractions, and both versions continue to draw long lines and loyal fans year-round. Guests planning a visit in August should keep the closure dates in mind, as the ride will be unavailable for nearly two weeks. Despite the temporary closure, Disneyland's 70th anniversary celebration will include plenty of other attractions, entertainment, and limited-time experiences across the park. According to Disneyland blogs, this includes a new theme song by the Jonas Brothers and a new 'World of Color' show. As with all seasonal changes, dates are subject to change, and guests are encouraged to check the Disneyland website for the latest updates. Whether you're a fan of the traditional Haunted Mansion or the festive Haunted Mansion Holiday, 2025 offers the chance to enjoy both versions during a milestone year for the park.

Jennifer Lopez debuts new look after unleashing Ben Affleck-inspired heartbreak song

Jennifer Lopez looked like she was heading to Studio 54 at the height of the disco era as she left the restaurant Alba in Los Angeles. The Jenny from the Block singer, 55, completed her new look with a pale sliver dress that exposed one of JLo's tanned shoulders while the other arm was covered by the long sleeve. The dress was gathered over the Marry Me star's left hip and she wore her hair stick straight with half cascading down her torso and the other half down her back. A grey fedora with an off white band, clear high heels, and a brown and white handbag completed the Selena star's chic look. Her makeup was on the heavier side with emphasis on her rosy cheeks and darkly lined eyes. She stood at the valet stand with a very handsome mystery man who wore bedazzled black pants a puffy white shirt. The sighting comes after Jen took a swipe at her ex-husband Ben Affleck, 52, in a new song. The Let's Get Loud singer debuted six new songs at an exclusive listening party for 30 lucky fans in Los Angeles this week - and dropped a hint about her recent personal turmoil. She filed for divorce from her fourth husband Affleck last August on what would have been their second wedding anniversary. The collapse of their marriage was the culmination of months of rumors that the couple's relationship was skidding towards implosion. Lopez appears to have taken a swipe at Ben in her music, in the lyrics to a song called Wreckage of You that she played at the listening party. One of the guests, Edgardo Luis Rivera, shared that JLo 'kept thinking of the word "wreck" because it means destruction, but she wasn't destroyed. 'In fact, the lyrics of the song are: "I'm stronger after the wreckage of you,"' via Us Weekly. 'She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself,' he noted. The Let's Get Loud singer debuted six new songs at an exclusive listening party for 30 lucky fans in Los Angeles this week - and dropped a hint about her recent personal turmoil. Seen here January 11, 2009 JLo scrapped her This Is Me... Live tour last summer, saying she 'needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life' - amid the rumors her marriage to Ben was on the rocks. 'Fast-forward to one year later,' said Edgardo, talking about the listening party: 'and she feels better and stronger than ever, so she wanted to write a song about coming out of a bad situation much stronger.' Another attendee described the musical number as a 'very emotional, empowering song about walking away from a relationship and coming out a stronger person.' The other five songs she played at the party were all reportedly more peppy, and were called Birthday, Free, Up All Night, Save Me Tonight and Regular. Edgardo explained that those songs were 'fun, more Jennifer of old in terms of music style,' calling them 'really good songs' with a 'real vibe to them' and dishing that the assembled fans went 'nuts' while listening to Birthday. While Jennifer was promoting This Is Me... Now, she intimated that the album about Ben might be the final one she ever released. However last October, after she filed for divorce, an insider revealed JLo hoped to put together a new album with a successful dance single. 'She has had an enormous amount of hits and can't accept the last album is the end of her music career. She wants to wash away the stink of This is Me Now,' the source explained to Page Six, months after This Is Me... Now had turned out to be a flop. Another one of JLo's exes was in the spotlight this week, as a verdict was finally reached in the case of her former boyfriend Sean 'Diddy' Combs. A New York jury reached a split verdict Wednesday in which Diddy — who has proclaimed his innocence — was acquitted of the most serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking However, the jury found him guilty on the less-serious charges, two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and the judge overseeing the case has ordered that he be kept behind bars until his sentencing hearing in October.
