
Saudi Arabia, Iraq Boost Judicial Cooperation
On Sunday, the Saudi Minister of Justice, Walid Al-Samaani, met with his Iraqi counterpart, Khaled Shawani, in Riyadh to discuss ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the judicial and legal fields.
During their meeting, both ministers discussed avenues for boosting cooperation and exchanging expertise between the Ministries of Justice in the two nations.
Moreover, the Saudi Justice Minister highlighted the latest reforms in the Kingdom's justice sector, supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and supervised by the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman.
These reforms include the introduction of specialized legislation to improve judicial efficiency and deliver swift justice.
Furthermore, the two ministers underscored the importance of coordination and cooperation in the fields of legislation and alternative dispute resolution to support judicial progress in both countries.
At the conclusion of their meeting, the Saudi and Iraqi Justice Ministers signed an executive program to bolster cooperation in fields such as legislation, notarization, alternative dispute resolution, and expertise exchange. The program also fosters cooperation in organizing joint events such as conferences, seminars and training courses.
