Alabama lands commitment from 2026 4-star tight end prospect

In what was only hours after the program secured a commitment from top 2026 running back Ezavier Crowell, the Alabama Crimson Tide also landed a tight end late Thursday night in Mark Sutter.
Sutter's commitment to the Crimson Tide was announced via a post on social media.
At the moment, Sutter currently ranks as the nation's No. 80 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 6 tight end this cycle. A four-star prospect, Sutter is also considered as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Illinois where he attends Dunlap High School.
Following the commitment of Sutter to Alabama, the Crimson Tide's 2026 class is currently up to No. 11 nationally, according to the 247Sports Team Rankings with a total of 12 commitments.

What does it take to be labeled a "dynamic" player in college football? Dual-threat quarterbacks mix the pro-style pocket passing NFL scout love and the running ability that seems to be taking over the position at large, a chunk of skill position players are recruited as "athletes" while playing multiple positions and then there's Travis Hunter who played at an All-American level on both sides of the ball while at Colorado. All of these archetypes fit the Merriam-Webster definition of the word dynamic — "marked by usually continuous and productive activity or change" — but in sports, dynamism has a certain je ne sais quoi to it. As CBS Sports' Brad Crawford puts it, "the players I most remembered jumped off of the screen in the biggest moments of the biggest games." Crawford put together a list of college football's 25 most dynamic players of the past 25 years, and there's surprisingly just one Florida Gator on there. While Gators fans may be quick to jump to the most sacred name in all of Gainesville — Tim Tebow — it's not the golden boy who made the cut. Tebow helped popularize the running quarterback, and he did it in a bruising way that hasn't quite been replicated. But his passing lacked at times, and there's a better all-around choice for this list. Percy Harvin. Athlete. "The Gators did an expert job picking and choosing when to incorporate Harvin offensively," wrote Crawford, "whether that meant lining him up next to Tim Tebow in the backfield or breaking him out at receiver. Over this three-year stint in Gainesville, Harvin was instrumental in leading one of the nation's most explosive offenses, averaging 11.6 yards per touch with 32 touchdowns. His 9.2 yards per rushing attempt led the country in 2007, which ironically, was Tebow's Heisman year." Harvin was a video game character in real life. An offensive weapon that demanded the focus of multiple defenders, Florida and Tebow likely wouldn't have the same success without him on the field. His success carried over into the NFL, and he's the kind of name that comes up in water cooler talk, which is the kind of topic Crawford is looking to explore deeper. UNC basketball releases its full non-conference schedule for 2025-2026 season
Which matchups are you most excited for? As the UNC basketball team inches closer to the start of its 2025-2026 season, anticipation continues building in Chapel Hill. With the exception of Seth Trimble, James Brown and Zayden High, everyone is a newcomer to the Tar Heels' star-studded roster. North Carolina hit the transfer portal hard: bringing in 7-foot center Henri Veesaar, likely starting point guard Kyan Evans, hometown kid Jarin Stevenson, plus a pair of shooting guards in Jonathan Powell and Jaydon Young. Hubert Davis continued to showcase his recruiting prowess, with UNC's 2025 recruiting class including Top-10 recruit Caleb Wilson, plus a pair of combo guards in Derek Dixon and Isaiah Denis. The Tar Heels previously teased fans about their upcoming season, releasing a few non-conference matchups. North Carolina released the rest of their non-conference opponents on Friday, now allowing fans to prepare which nights they'll be in the Dean Dome, on the road, or on their couches. Outside of a road clash with Kentucky, a neutral-site battle with Ohio State, plus a pair of Fort Myers (Fla.) Tip-Off games against Michigan State and St. Bonaventure, you'll notice one eye-popping characteristic about UNC's non-conference schedule: every matchup is in the Dean Dome. The Tar Heels' first official home game will be Monday, November 3 against Central Arkansas, which became Division I in 2010. Four days later, North Carolina will host a highly-anticipated matchup against Kansas, which won in Allen Fieldhouse last year. Radford (Nov. 11), NC Central (Nov. 14) and Navy (Nov. 18) are all winnable games, then UNC faces a strong Atlantic 10 program in St. Bonaventure, followed by a Thanksgiving Day game against Tom Izzo's Spartans. Rupp Arena will be rocking on December 2, as will the Dean Dome on December 7 against Georgetown. USC-Upstate, ETSU and ECU are all teams the Tar Heels should beat handily, while Ohio State will provide a strong challenge. Huskers land prediction for top player in the state of Nebraska
Class of 2027 four-star safety Tory Pittman has been projected to the Nebraska football program by Rivals' Greg Smith. Smith put the prediction in on Friday. Pittman is one of the most coveted prospects for the 2027 class. On top of this, he is the top prospect in the state of Nebraska and the second safety in the 2027 class overall, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Pittman has visited the Nebraska campus several times. He has taken one visit this calendar year, doing so on March 27. He has visited the Huskers six other times, with his first visit coming on April 9, 2024. The safety is coming off a strong 2024 season that saw him record 54 tackles, a sack, and three interceptions, per statistics from The safety will be a challenge to keep in-state, as he has tremendous talent and attention at a national level. Smith's prediction is certainly encouraging, but there is still a long way to go between then and signing day.
