Oppo K13 Turbo series confirmed to launch in India with in-built fan technology: Price, specs and everything expected
Oppo has also confirmed that the new phones will come in three colour variants: Silver Knight, Purple Phantom and Midnight Mavericks.
Oppo claims that the K13 Turbo series will be the first devices in India with a built-in cooling fan. The company employs a variable speed centrifugal fan within the phone's body that spins at 18,000rpm and activates based on the temperature and load on the device in order to keep the temperatures in check.
The company says that its in-built fan technology can lead to rapid heat dissipation and a temperature drop of 2–4° Celsius even in high load conditions, like playing games or having the phone directly under sunlight.
While we don't have any official word on the specs of K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro, the phones have already been launched in China, which gives us a clear idea on what to expect from their Indian variants.
Oppo K13 Turbo & Oppo K13 Turbo Pro specifications:
Oppo K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro feature the same 6.8-inch 1.5K flat OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,600 nits of peak brightness. They get an IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance rating and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
On the performance front, the K13 Turbo is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor with Mali-G720 MC7 GPU. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Trump 2.0's China playbook ruffles partners. Outreach to Pakistan, cold-shoulder to Taiwan during China talks raise concerns
Live Events (You can now subscribe to our (You can now subscribe to our Economic Times WhatsApp channel Is there a shift in Trump's China policy? While it's too early to make that call, there are worrying indications that point to a more accommodating Trump trade posture on China even if it means reversing his own security decisions. For India, the Quad and most of the Indo-Pacific, that's worrying as it's accompanied by no exception for allies or partners on the tariff begin with, he is cold-shouldering Taiwan while warming up to China's all-weather friend Pakistan. In June, Trump hosted Pakistan Army Chief Gen Asim Munir in Washington, but in the same month, his administration apparently cancelled a planned defence dialogue with Taiwan as trade talks with China were on. Just recently, Taiwan President Lai Ching-te called off a trip to South America because US did not allow him a stopover, though Taiwan sought to cover for the embarrassment by citing other pressing engagements as most glaring, one on which there is considerable discomfort within his own camp, is removing restrictions on Nvidia to resume selling of H20 chips to China for AI development. Trump had imposed these restrictions in April following China's surprise advancement with DeepSeek. It emerged that the H20 chips, which were customised for China and meant to be slightly less advanced than the high-end H100 Nvidia chips for AI, were in effect not that July 28, a bunch of former security officials, including Matt Pottinger, former Deputy NSA in Trump 1.0, wrote to US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick urging him to reconsider the decision. The letter stated that H20 was a "potent accelerator" of China's AI capabilities and was "not an outdated chip". It warned that H20 outperforms the H100 in "inference tasks" and should not be other worry highlighted in the letter was that H20 will never be restricted to just the civilian domain and will support China's military purposes under its "military-civil fusion strategy". But it appears the call was made during a meeting between Trump and Nvidia at an expensive Mar-a-Lago China has found this US backing-off difficult to digest. Its Cyberspace Administration summoned Nvidia officials with questions on whether the H20s have a backdoor that enables unauthorized access and surveillance. The US company has denied it, though Beijing is likely to carry out its own all the tough talk on China, these are significant concessions from Trump, some through individual deals and others due to the political pressures arising from squeezing Chinese supply chains, especially on rare earths and magnets, without credible actions, however, sit oddly with his MAGA politics and Trump's core support base. And so, indications are that they are going ahead with their own play in the US Congress. Amid all the cautiousness in White House on China, a bipartisan bill called the Uyghur Genocide Accountability and Sanctions Act of 2025 was moved recently in the US the legislation was moved by the Republican Senator Dan Sullivan, who chairs the Congressional-Executive Commission on China and co-sponsored by Republican Representative John Moolenaar, who heads the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. Several Democratic Congressmen have supported the legislation, which seeks to expand existing sanctions, imposes visa bans and restricts U.S. government contracts linked to forced many ways, the limits of Trump's transactional approach have hit the Chinese wall. Given China's dominance in trade and supply chains, the plan was always to adopt a coordinated strategy with allies and partners to develop alternatives. Because for now, China literally holds the the Trump Administration has ended up in a bargaining match with Beijing, which might get some purchase in the short term, but has put its main partners in building and executing the long-term counter China strategy in question - namely Taiwan and the Quad.

Recognise industrial electronics as national strategic priority: ICEA
NEW DELHI: The India Cellular and Electronics Association ( ICEA ) on Monday said that industrial electronics should be considered as a national priority, and noted that the segment is crucial for the country's $500 billion electronics manufacturing target by FY31. The Delhi-based industry body, which represents Chinese brands such as, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, as well as Apple and Corning in India, noted that it is crucial to manufacture electronics that will automate factories, cities, and transport networks. 'The industrial electronics segment must be recognised as a national strategic priority. It is the brain and nervous system of every advanced manufacturing setup. Without leadership in industrial automation, India cannot claim true manufacturing leadership,' said Pankaj Mohindroo, chairman, ICEA. According to ICEA, industrial electronics have a massive potential for high-skilled employment, particularly in areas such as embedded systems, automation software, robotics, and AI-integrated systems. 'We must invest in talent pipelines, R&D, and incentives to grow this sector. India should aim to become not just a user of industrial electronics, but a global design and manufacturing hub for it,' Mohindroo said. In March this year, the Narendra Modi-led government approved a ₹22,919 crore scheme to incentivise the manufacturing of electronics components in India. The scheme is expected to attract an investment of ₹59,350 crore, resulting in the production of ₹4.56 lakh crore worth of products 'The industrial electronics forms the technological backbone of modern manufacturing infrastructure, powering smart factories, robotics, intelligent grids, automated systems, and future-ready transport and logistics networks,' said Manish Walia, VP, Delta Electronics. ICEA is currently leading efforts to craft a dedicated policy and strategic roadmap for industrial electronics through its 'Steering Committee on Industrial Electronics and Infrastructure', in close collaboration with the government and leading industry stakeholders. The steering committee comprises top executives from companies such as such as Delta Electronics, Infineon Technologies, Festo, Fanuc, Rockwell Automation India, Feedback Advisory and Federation for Economic Development (FED). To this extent, ICEA cited that homegrown Amber Enterprises, through its subsidiary ILJIN Electronics India, recently acquired a controlling stake in Israeli Unitronics for ₹404 crore to focus on industrial automation technologies . Unitronics brings with it cutting-edge capabilities in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Industrial IoT, all of which are key enablers of Industry 4.0 . 'This transaction will significantly strengthen India's Industrial automation by providing a strong foothold in the rapidly growing sector of Industry 4.0 solutions and real-time data-driven technologies. This will accelerate our nation's transition towards smart factories and digitally-driven production systems, ultimately supporting the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat in high-tech manufacturing,' said Jasbir Singh, executive chairman & CEO of Amber Group .
