Summit to host high-level ministerial panel session to discuss transformation of the Kingdom's food industry and its contribution to Vision 2030.
KSA, RIYADH – Held under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, and with the distinguished presence of the CEO of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), Saudi Food Show returns for its highly anticipated third edition from 12 to 14 May 2025 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Centre. Recognised as the Kingdom's largest F&B sourcing platform, the event marks a new milestone in Saudi Arabia's ascent as a global hub for culinary innovation and trade.
Backed by a rapidly growing food sector and the ambitions of Vision 2030, this year's edition sees a significant expansion, now spanning six halls and welcoming an even broader range of global experts and international exhibitors. Participants will showcase their products, services, and innovations to top-tier buyers from around the world, enabling major trade deals and positioning the event as a global gateway for business exchange.
Organised by KAOUN International and dmg events, and held in strategic partnership with MODON, The Saudi Food Show 2025 will also feature a robust programme of thought-leadership sessions, including a high-level ministerial panel that will explore the transformation of the Kingdom's F&B landscape and its critical role in driving long-term economic diversification.

Three days of curated, actionable content
The Saudi Food Summit is set to champion impactful conversations to spur change, with ministers, global F&B value chain leaders, entrepreneurs and industry experts leading a series of keynotes and dynamic panel discussions.
On the opening day, attendees will hear from senior Saudi policy makers in a ministerial panel session highlighting strategic transformation in the Kingdom's food industry, highlighting its contribution to the National Investment Strategy and Vision 2030.

Crowd-favourite feature Top Table Saudi returns with a line-up of chefs and local cooking icons who will captivate audiences with a series of exciting masterclasses unveiling innovative techniques, and showcasing the cuisines that have made their way onto menus in the Kingdom, as well as traditional local dishes, all while exploring the cutting edge of cuisine.
Among the line-up of chefs revealing their signature techniques and flavours at Top Table Saudi will be celebrated Moroccan chef, Fayçal Bettioui, who attained a Michelin star for his restaurant Zur Krone in its very first year of opening, and was a recent recipient of the 'One to Watch Award' as part of the 50 Best Restaurants in the Middle East and North Africa 2025.
Further culinary stars include: former winner of Top Chef Middle East, Ali Ghzawi, celebrating his Jordanian heritage and food. Saudi Arabia and Indonesia have signed deals and preliminary agreements worth $27 billion as Asia's fifth-largest economy looks to the deepen trade and investment ties with the kingdom. The agreements signed by private sector companies during the state visit of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto span sectors including clean energy, petrochemicals and aviation fuel services and aim to advance economic partnership between the two nations, said a joint Saudi-Indonesian statement on Wednesday issued by the Saudi Press Agency. The two sides also agreed to enhance investment co-operation and build partnerships in priority sectors including energy, financial services, mining and industry, logistic services, tourism, agriculture and green technologies. The investment co-operation is in line with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 economic transformation agenda and Golden Indonesia 2045, the programme that outlines Indonesia's national development priorities, SPA said. Role of investment Joint investments are vital in 'supporting economic integration and creating exceptional opportunities for the private sectors in both countries', according to the statement. Both sides also agreed to develop an 'enabling investment environment and adopt effective mechanisms that align development and investment policies', it added. Trade ties Indonesia, one of the fastest growing emerging markets in Asia, is keen to expand its trade and investment ties with partners in the six-member GCC economic bloc. The Asian nation has signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the UAE, the second-largest Arab economy. The pact with the UAE went into force in August 2023 and has substantially boosted bilateral trade and investments. The trade agreement allowed the removal or reduction of tariffs on a range of goods and eliminated unnecessary trade barriers, the UAE Ministry of Economy said at the time. In April, President Subianto met President Sheikh Mohamed at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi and discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral co-operation, particularly related to the economy, investment, renewable energy, sustainability and infrastructure, state news agency Wam reported. The two sides also signed trade and investment agreements to further build on Cepa deals. Saudi Arabia and Indonesia have historic economic ties and bilateral trade has risen to more than $31 billion during the past five years. Saudi Arabia is a leading GCC trade partner of Indonesia, SPA said. During the state visit, Saudi Arabia and Indonesian officials also welcomed the positive outcomes of negotiations towards an Indonesia-GCC free trade agreement. The two sides held discussions in September 2024 and February this year, raising hopes of an agreement 'in the near future'. Areas of co-operation In terms of energy security and supplies, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia agreed to boost co-operation on the supply of crude oil and its derivatives, petrochemicals. They also agreed to work together to explore investment opportunities in refining and petrochemicals, as well as innovative uses of hydrocarbons and the development of environmentally friendly downstream applications and technologies. They also agreed to increase co-operation between energy companies to explore resources in both countries to increase the flexibility and efficiency of supplies. Officials pledged to boost investment co-operation in 'electricity, renewable energy, energy storage and developing its projects', SPA said. Other areas of co-operation discussed were: the digital economy and innovation, judiciary and justice, labour and human resources, culture, tourism, sports, education and scientific research, industry and mining, agriculture, fisheries, and food security. Boosting boosting aviation connectivity between the two countries was also covered in the meetings.

Post Views: 52 The Ministry of Tourism has released its 2024 Annual Statistical Report on the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia, highlighting key indicators of tourism activity and underlining the sector's continued growth following the significant progress recorded in 2023. His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism, stated that the strong performance reflected in the 2024 report was achieved with the guidance and support of the Kingdom's leadership. His Excellency added that tourism has become a key enabler of Saudi Vision 2030, with the report showcasing the sector's accelerated growth driven by the efforts of the Ministry and all stakeholders of Saudi Arabia's tourism ecosystem. According to the report, the Kingdom welcomed around 116 million domestic and inbound tourists in 2024, a 6% increase compared with 2023. Total tourism spending—for domestic and inbound tourism—reached approximately SAR 284 billion, reflecting 11% growth year-on-year. The Ministry noted that Saudi Arabia achieved its highest-ever number of inbound tourists, receiving about 30 million inbound tourists in 2024, marking an 8% rise versus 2023. Inbound tourism spending in 2024 totaled SAR 168.5 billion, up 19% from 2023. Domestic tourism also experienced solid growth with 86.2 million domestic tourists in 2024, marking a 5% increase compared with 2023. Moreover, domestic tourism spending reached SAR 115.3 billion in 2024.
