Alcatel advertises the V3 Classic as "India's First NxtVision Display," which is how TCL and Alcatel brand their regular screens. The NxtPaper technology will appear on the V3 Pro, a 6.7" LCD with up to a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The e-ink tech is the only major difference between the V3 Classic and V3 Pro - these phones will share the same 50 MP + 5 MP camera combo on the back and 8 MP selfie shooter, as well as the battery we already mentioned. Alcatel V3 Pro
We should point out that while TCL 60 launched with 256 GB storage, it seems like V3 Classic will be a 128 GB device (expandable with a micro SD slot). We also know the V3 Pro will bring 8 GB RAM, but the storage remains unknown here.
These phones should be fairly affordable - the TCL 60 SE NxtPaper launched internationally for €189, which is about INR18,000. We have to wait until Tuesday to learn how Alcatel will adapt the prices for the Indian market.

Samsung confirms it will soon be expanding One UI 8 beta to more phones, tablets, and watches
Samsung is getting ready to open up its One UI 8 beta to a wider group of Galaxy devices. The software, which brings new AI-powered features and interface upgrades, will become available to more users starting August 11th. The beta will originally be available for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the U.S., U.K., India, and South Korea. The company is adding multimodal AI features that let people interact with their devices using a mix of voice, touch, images, and text. These tools are meant to make the phone feel more natural and helpful in everyday tasks. The update, which is already available for the Galaxy Watch 8, includes design improvements and new health features. Specific models have not been named yet. This time around, Samsung seems more comfortable pushing these beta updates early, unlike what we saw last year with the One UI 7 beta rollout. Google has also rolled out Android 16 betas for its Pixel phones until the final release, and continues to do so with its QPR (quarterly) updates. Apple is also pushing its iOS/iPadOS 26 betas on a timely basis, signaling that this might be a good year as fast as software updates across the board. For Samsung, how successful the One UI 8 rollout turns out to be will come down to how useful users find its new features to be. Some may find them helpful, while others might ignore them. But the wider beta gives Galaxy fans a good chance to try it out and decide for themselves.

One UI 8 beta coming to Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 next week

Next week, the company will expand the program to last year's flagships. Starting next week, owners of the following models in the US, the UK, India and South Korea will be able to sign up for One UI 8 beta through the Samsung Members app: Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. Samsung Galaxy S24 • Samsung Galaxy S24+ • Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Samsung Galaxy S24 FE • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 Again, this is for the beta – the stable release is coming at a later date and will incorporate feedback from the beta program.
