German Shepherd Obsessed With His New Baby Goat Siblings Is the Ultimate Big Brother
Everybody is always happy to have the chance to make new friends. This is just as true of animals as it is of humans. Just take Bear, the German Shepherd, for instance.
Bear's human parents recently brought home some new additions to the family, a couple of Nigerian dwarf goats. Naturally, Bear is curious about his new friends and wants to get to know them more.
This video even goes so far as to say that he is 'obsessed' with them. However, due to his formidable size, these tiny creatures are more than a little intimidated by him.
As you can see, these precious little baby goats are pretty darn scared of Bear. He is a pretty big dog, after all.
Each time he goes over to their pen to investigate or to try to meet them, these goats stay away from the fence, wanting to keep their distance so that they can feel safe.
Nevertheless, Bear is not deterred. He is still eager to get more up close and personal with his brand-new friends.It is important to note that Bear's humans are taking extra care and caution to slowly introduce these baby Nigerian goats to their canine big brother, to make sure that everyone is comfortable with each other.
Towards the end of this video, you can see one of these baby goats very tentatively going to the fence to greet Bear a little bit.
For his part, Bear was very calm while the baby goat displayed some of their own excitement, hopping up and down as they seemingly realized that the large furry creature before them was a friend.
However, Bear's friendly nature around these baby goats is no surprise. As this other video shows, he is already the best friend of an adorable human toddler.
As you can see, this big dog and this tiny boy have the best time playing together. They have a really special bond and are pretty much inseparable from one another.
Could it be that one day these precious little baby goats will have a similarly sweet bond with the bighearted Bear? We certainly hope so.
But if that tiny baby goat's precious little hops at the end of the first video or any indication, they and Bear seem to be getting off on the right track.

The podcast gig followed Kumar appearing on stage at a live London comedy show produced by Crooked Media, which was followed by that proverbial chance call from Hollywood. Soon after he walked off stage, he got a call from Los Angeles asking if he could be at a meeting in London in 20 minutes. 'And I was like, I'm already there. I'm literally in the audience. So I got pulled out of the crowd like Courteney Cox in the 'Dancing in the Dark' video,' Kumar recalled. Later, Crooked Media asked if he'd be interested in launching and hosting a British show, which he did. Kumar's Pod Save the UK offers a weekly fix on U.K. politics. That means Kumar and co-host Khan got to cover the downfall of British prime minister Boris Johnson over his rule-breaking parties in No. 10 during the COVID-19 pandemic. 'In terms of historic failures of leadership, I think Johnson's conduct in the pandemic is one of those things that people will study for years,' Kumar says. But while the U.K.'s Conservative Party sent Johnson packing, Kumar has a take on why Donald Trump, also judged by many as a political buffoon whose erratic style endears him to followers, was restored to the White House for a second term. 'Trump has killed the broad church in the Republican Party. It's no longer a political party. It's a delivery system for a single man and that's a huge problem,' he insists. As Nigel Farage, a protégé of Trump, challenges Britain's current Labor government in the polls, Kumar doesn't look forward to his Reform UK party coming to power to reinvigorate his political comedy. 'The thing with (Farage) and Trump is there is a shamelessness. It actually makes it harder to make fun of them. Politicians in theory are supposed to conduct themselves with a level of dignity that means there's something to prick for principles. Farage and Trump are congenitally shameless men,' Kumar said. The Just For Laughs comedy festival continues through Sunday. 115-song Billy Joel 'And So It Goes' playlist hits YouTube, Spotify, streaming sites
If you're watching 'Billy Joel: And So It Goes," the HBO Max documentary about the performer's career, now there's a music playlist to serve as accompaniment. It's seven hours long. Need a new playlist for weekend listening or an upcoming road trip? Billy Joel has got you covered. Just hours after the second half of documentary "Billy Joel: And So It Goes" hit HBO Max on July 25, streaming services made available a massive playlist of Joel's music from the movie. The 155-track "musical companion" the documentary can be found on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and other music streaming services. The playlist includes 115 songs that span his five-decade career, ranging from his early bands The Lost Souls and The Hassles to a 2024 performance of "New York State of Mind" from his 100th concert during his Madison Square Garden residency. In addition to the 115 songs, there are also audio clips from the documentary featuring Joel, his first wife, Elizabeth Weber, and others, which serve as introductions to the musical tracks. The version on YouTube also includes official music videos for several songs including "Big Shot," "Pressure" and "The River of Dreams," and live performance videos of songs such as "The Stranger" and "Just the Way You Are." Billy Joel: His 75 best songs, definitively ranked The playlist is produced by creative director Steve Cohen, engineer Bradshaw Leigh and Joel archivist John Jackson and there may be more music coming out of the vault, Cohen told the Ultimate Classic Rock website. Coming to Joel's YouTube channel on Monday, July 28 is a performance of "Piano Man" recorded in 1975 on the U.K. TV show "The Old Grey Whistle Test," Cohen told Ultimate Classic Rock. Among the unreleased live recordings and demo versions included on the playlist, Rolling Stone notes, is the first-ever live performance of 'Scenes From an Italian Restaurant,' recorded May 6, 1977 at Long Island's C.W.
