Men of the Harem is an upcoming fantasy romance drama about an empress' revenge spree, touching on themes of politics, power dynamics and complexities of building relationships within a harem. In May, Bae Suzy was reported to be offered to lead the series, and a month later, Dex was approached to play another important character of the drama, as per My Daily's June 19 report.
Dex to star as Suzy's character's concubine in Men of the Harem
Men of the Harem is a story about Latil (role offered to Suzy), a newly crowned emperor who, after being scorned by her former lover, decides to form her own harem as an act of revenge. Latil will plan to take five male concubines to cause them the same pain she felt when her beloved cheated on her. Dex was offered the role of one of the five men. The story explored themes of revenge, and unconventional relationships within a royal setting.
Dex's agency's response to reports of joining Suzy in Men of the Harem
Dex's agency's KTHD Studio confirmed receiving the offer, however, refrained from spilling anything more. They stated, "The appearance has not been decided. We only received a proposal, and nothing has been decided yet." They provided a cautious response regarding being in discussions about the casting offer, just like the other unconfirmed cast member, Suzy.
Suzy's agency's response to star as an empress in Men of the Harem
Suzy's agency, Management SOOP, confirmed that the actress received the offer to play the protagonist in Men of Harem. They stated, 'It is a project that we have received an offer for and are currently reviewing it.'
Though, none of the actors' sides confirmed their participation in the project as of yet, the excitement surrounding their possible pairing has been growing. Due to their fan following and soaring career, casting them together might be a good move by director Lee Eung Bok.
About Dex's acting career
Dex has built a dedicated fandom for himself due to his good looks and his choice of projects. He starred as a contestant and panel member of the popular South Korean dating show, Singles Inferno. He made his debut in a major role in K-dramas through the horror-thriller series Tarot and awaits his next.

Who is Jo Yu-ri, Squid Game's player 222? Net worth, educational qualification, and more

When Jo Yu-ri first appeared on television, it wasn't in a drama or a film. It was on a talent survival show. She was young, maybe a bit unsure, but her voice carried something clear. Now, years later, she's appeared in one of the most globally talked-about dramas: Squid Game, and her performance has left people stunned. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Jo played Player 222, a pregnant woman named Kim Jun-hee. In the deadly world of the show, her character felt fragile at first. But as the story unfolded, she became one of the strongest presences on screen. There wasn't anything loud or over-the-top about the role; it was quiet, emotional, and incredibly human. A different kind of fame Born in Busan in 2001, Jo didn't grow up on film sets. She came from the competitive world of K-pop. In 2018, she was chosen to debut in IZ*ONE after placing third on the show Produce 48. That group became huge almost overnight. Concerts, albums, fan meets it was all a blur. But in 2021, IZ*ONE ended, and the members went their own ways. Some idols disappear after that kind of group disbandment. Jo didn't. She released her first solo song, Glassy, not long after. It was a bright, hopeful track, a contrast to what she'd go on to do in Squid Game. Acting with no formal training One thing that surprised people: Jo isn't a trained actor. She didn't go to a film school. She wasn't in musicals or student plays. Her experience was mostly music videos, stage shows, and reality content. So when fans saw her in such an emotionally heavy role, they were taken aback in a good way. In an interview with People, Jo said she cried for a long time after filming her final scene. It had taken a toll on her. That moment in the show, when her character gives up her life to save her newborn, isn't easy to forget. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Viewers around the world said it was one of the most devastating scenes in the entire series. What she earns, and what's next? Jo Yu-ri hasn't publicly shared what she earns, and there's no official number. Still, given her years in IZ*ONE, her solo work, and her recent drama success, many believe she's earned somewhere around $1–3 million. That includes music sales, digital streams, endorsements, and now, acting contracts. She's also signed to various brand deals in fashion and beauty. Her image is clean, warm, and quietly confident, making her a natural fit for that world. This year, she's expected to release another solo album called Episode 25. From what's been hinted at in interviews, the tone may be deeper, maybe even a little darker. Understandably so, after a project like Squid Game. She didn't just show up in Squid Game; she left an impact. The kind that gets people to ask, 'Who is she?' and then go looking for her past work. Jo Yu-ri might've started out as a singer. But now, she's something more.

BTS' V says he ‘passed out after drinks' reveals post-military restlessness; steps out in style the next morning

BTS' V is in Paris for Men's Fashion Week. The K-pop idol was signed on as the global ambassador of the Italian luxury, Celine in 2023, just ahead of his military enlistment. Now, Taehyung is back on the cobbled streets, welcomed with a grand party thrown for him and actor Park Bo Gum, who also represents the brand. Earlier, a video went viral on social media showing the singer partying in a club, surrounded by staff and friends, dunking champagne with sparklers in hand. Later that night, he jumped on an impromptu Weverse live to greet fans, only to drop a heartbreaking update about his post-military sleep struggles. Also read: BTS' V and Park Bo Gum spotted partying in Paris in viral video ahead of Fashion Week Return: 'Brand knows how to pamper them' If there's one thing fans remember from all the BTS variety shows, it's that Taehyung was the one member who used to sleep like a rock, but not anymore. He kicked off the Weverse live and gave fans a quick update about the party last night, saying, 'I had drinks with friends and then we passed out,' but added that he was wide awake again in no time. 'Actually, I used to be able to sleep deeply, but now even a little bit of noise will make me wide awake. I don't know if it's because I served in the military, but at the slightest sound, I just can't sleep anymore,' V said, still looking half-asleep and clearly struggling as a swarm of fans tuned in to comfort and cheer him on. #V Taehyung: 'I used to be able to sleep really well, now.. maybe it's bcs i came from military survive, even the slightest noise wakes me up. Earlier someone came to clean up for a bit in the hotel & bcs of that i totally woke up. I was trying to sleep+ — VinterBear⟭⟬ᵇᵗˢ ʸᵉᵃʳ💜⁷ (@shadowlike_v) July 5, 2025 He continued, 'I woke up earlier than expected… Usually, I can sleep really well, but I think this has happened ever since I returned from the military. I wake up at the slightest sound… earlier, someone just dropped by to clean, and I woke up at the sound of it.' Taehyung was live for around 9 minutes and had a little conversation with fans. At one point, he even said that since there were so many English comments on the screen, he felt sleepy again and asked if someone could translate them into Korean. Fans joked, 'Let's flood with more English comments so he falls asleep again.' He then signed off after greeting fans in different languages. 🐻: I see so many English (comments) that it makes me feel sleepy again 🐻 : Is there no Korean translation? Does weverse have Korean translation? Kim Taehyung representing all international fans. Also he is so cute 😭😭 — Sandy 𐙚 (@kookiefyy) July 5, 2025 Also read: BTS' V says he can't tolerate 'person with childish behaviour' now: What Taehyung's changed personality after military discharge reveals Taehyung's sleep struggle revelation comes just days after BTS leader RM, aka Kim Namjoon's, comment on his military training went viral, where he opened up about crying all night, not being able to sleep, and even taking medications. Though he never directly said the harsh training took a toll, fans have since picked up on his hesitation whenever the topic of military service comes up. Earlier, V, who served in one of the fiercest units, the SDT for counter-terrorism, also shared that out of habit, he now wakes up early in the morning around 6:30 for a military roll call. Taehyung is set to headline the CELINE Printemps 2026 fashion show on July 6. Hours after the live call, the K-pop star was seen walking out of his hotel dressed in a navy blue and red striped knit polo paired with blue denims, and was greeted by a huge number of fans who had gathered outside the hotel to catch a glimpse. He then stopped at a Parisian bistro for a meal with Peter Utz, CELINE's Couture & Events Director. Later, he was seen checking out the jewellery pieces through the glass window before heading back to the hotel and then making an outfit change by evening, wearing a navy top tucked into gray trousers and a silk scarf.
