Argos is selling cheap iPads fast in 'lowest price ever' discount
Purchasing a new iPad from Apple is never going to be a bargain, but there's an enticing offer from Argos that makes it more affordable. The high street retailer currently has a rare discount on the entry-level iPad, which means shoppers can add one of these devices to their basket and pay £269 - that's the 'lowest price ever' at Argos.
It's a very alluring deal, and shoppers have clearly spotted the bargain, with Argos confirming that it's currently 'in demand' and 'selling fast'. The only thing consumers need to be aware of is that this is the older iPad model, which first launched back in 2022.
This has now been superseded by this year's updated iPad, which boasts a faster A16 processor and 128GB of storage as standard, reports the Mirror. The model Argos is selling at the discounted price, features an A14 Bionic processor and a more modest 64GB of internal memory.
For cheaper and newer model alternatives, look to Amazon where shoppers can buy a Fire HD 8 Tablet (2024 model) for £69.99, was £99.99. Built with seamless on-the-go streaming and gaming in mind, the tablet has an eight-inch screen and 13 hours of battery life when fully charged.
Meanwhile, Samsung fans can pick up a Galaxy Tab A9 for £159 at Currys. The device has an 11-inch screen and facial recognition to lock the device.

It's worth noting that Argos is now one of the sole UK retailers stocking the Apple's 2022 iPad. In the reviews, one person said: "Bought this as a gift a few months ago and is highly delighted with the iPad."
A second wasn't happy with their order, saying: "The iPad box was damaged. Dirty on corners and even green on some edges. This was a present for someone, so I brought it back and got a refund, as this does not look good and possibly could have been damaged inside."
A third concluded: "Lower end of the memory scale but still loads. Do not want to store vast amounts on one device anyway so this fits the bill. Does all you would expect of an iPad in a slim package and a good definition screen."
Apple's 2022 iPad features a 10.9-inch screen, long battery life, premium metal design and full support for the Apple Pencil. That means owners can scribble on the screen without using their fingers.
The iPad 2022 is not quite as good as what Apple is now stocking, but this is still a top-rated machine that's perfect for someone who wants to send a few emails, surf the web, and play some games. It's also significantly cheaper with the latest tablet costing £329.

Apple Watch series 10 reduced to its lowest-ever price in Amazon Prime Day sale
At long last, Amazon Prime Day 2025 has arrived, and the online giant is busy slashing prices on everything from tech to beauty, including all of Apple's gear. But while there are hefty discounts on AirPods and iPads, it's this deal on the Apple Watch series 10 that's caught my eye. Launched last September, Apple's flagship smartwatch has been slashed by an enormous £104 for Prime Day. I've been tracking the price of the Apple Watch series 10 since it launched, and this is the wearable's first-ever price cut, taking it down to almost £300 for the first time. The sale is exclusive to Prime members and, unlike previous years, it's lasting four days instead of two, so you've got plenty of time to shop. So far, I've spotted big savings on laptops, TVs, air fryers, vacuums and more, but if it's the Apple Watch deal you're here for, here's what you need to know. Apple's latest and greatest Apple Watch series 10 smartwatch is the company's best yet. Boasting an all-new design with a larger display, new health features, sleep apnoea detection and faster charging, it's been slashed to just £325 for Amazon Prime Day. Almost as large as the display on the Apple Watch Ultra, you can see and do more than on any Apple Watch that has come before it. 'While at first glance it looks similar to the series 9, the bigger display, thinner profile and handsome new colours make the Series 10 a lot more appealing,' tech critic David Phelan said in his review. 'The features that have defined the Apple Watch, from subtle notifications, brilliant mapping capabilities on your wrist and above all, great health features, are all at their best here,' he added.

This Apple AirPods Pro 2 deal is one of the best I've seen this Amazon Prime Day
I've tested a lot of wireless earbuds, but the ones I keep coming back to are Apple's AirPods Pro 2, and right now, they've been slashed to one of their lowest-ever prices for Amazon Prime Day. If you've been looking to upgrade your headphones, you don't have long to grab the deal. Slashed in price by £50, the AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C are now down to £179 at Amazon – the lowest price I've seen in months, and only a few quid more than the mid-range AirPods 4. It's one of the best deals on Apple's flagship earbuds I've seen, especially given how rarely they go on sale. Apple discounts don't stick around for long, and this exclusive Prime Day deal is just for Prime members, with Amazon also cutting prices on everything from as and TVs to air fryers, vacuums and more. Keep reading to find out how to get the deal. Boasting fantastic active noise cancellation, adaptive transparency, personalised spatial audio and a host of gearing features, these are my everyday earbuds, and are constantly being updated with new features every year. Recently updated with tead tracking features, you can now nod and shake your head to answer or decline calls and reply to messages. Soon, you'll be able to hear translations in your ear in real-time, too. This is the cheapest I've seen Apple's flagship earbuds in a while – they were last reduced to this price in November. Praised by tech critic David Phelan, the audio and active noise cancellation is better than the AirPods 4. 'Unlike the AirPods 4, there are also touch controls on the buds themselves, so you can adjust the volume without having to take your phone out of your pocket, and there's a MagSafe case with a lanyard loop for easy charging and storage,' noted Phelan in his review. He also found that they feature some really neat adaptive audio features that react to your environment in real time. 'The case now includes Apple's U1 chip, which means you can use the Find My app on your iPhone to locate it when you've misplaced it,' he added. You can save £50 with this deal at Amazon.

Best Apple deals in the Amazon Prime Day 2025 sale, handpicked by a tech critic
Bargain hunters, it's time. Amazon Prime Day 2025 is officially here, and the deals are coming in thick and fast, especially on Apple tech. Whether you're eyeing up a new iPad, Apple Watch or finally ready to upgrade your iPhone, now's your chance to save. Running from now until 11 July, Prime Day is Amazon's biggest shopping event of the year, with thousands of exclusive offers for Prime members. Apple discounts are usually hard to come by, but this is one of the rare moments when you'll see real price cuts on everything Apple, from AirPods to MacBooks and everything in between. I've been covering Prime Day for close to a decade, so you can trust that I'll only flag the best bargains of the bunch. I'm rounding up the top Apple deals throughout the day and updating this page as soon as I spot a discount, so you can find the deals that are actually worth your time (and money). Why you can trust IndyBest to find the best Apple deals in the Amazon Prime Day sale As The Independent 's senior tech critic, I specialise in all things tech, with a focus on Apple products. Whether I'm reviewing the latest AirPods or predicting the specs of the next iPhone, I've been tracking Apple prices for years. This allows me to spot the best deals from a mile away. If you're after AirPods at their lowest-ever price, you can count on me to be the first to report on the discount. Reduced to their all-time low price, I'd recommend snapping these up while you can. Praised by tech critic David Phelan, they boast better audio and better active noise cancellation than the AirPods 4. David's review found that they feature some really neat adaptive audio features that react to your environment in real time. I know all that first-hand, too; these are actually the earbuds I wear every day, and I love that they're being updated with new features all the time. If you're looking to upgrade your laptop this Prime Day, then you'll be pleased to hear that Apple's latest and greatest MacBook Air has been slashed by £150, bringing it down to an all-time low. In his rave review, tech critic David Phelan found the laptop 'Preposterously slim, sharply designed and appealingly light, with battery life that goes on and on.' He also loved the faster processor and improved webcam. It's really simple; according to David, 'this is Apple's best MacBook Air yet.' Launched in March, the all-new 11th-generation iPad has dropped to its lowest-ever price this Prime Day. Replacing the 10th-gen model, it boasts a faster A16 Bionic chip, USB-C charging and double the storage, with 128GB as standard. It still features the same bright 10.9in Liquid Retina display, making it the best-value iPad in Apple's line-up right now and a steal at this price. The latest Apple Watch Ultra 2 has just been slashed by a huge £150 for Prime Day. In his review, tech critic David Phelan called it 'a big chunky wearable that's perfect for extreme sport enthusiasts,' as it has a two-day battery life that's perfect for hiking. It boasts a bright 3000-nit display, a sleep apnoea-detection feature to track breathing irregularities over time, and an upgraded S9 processor, making it faster and last longer than other watches. You also get a neat double-tap gesture feature for one-handed control. Apple's all-new budget phone has just received its biggest price cut yet, bringing it less than £500 for the first time since it launched in February. It's better than the iPhone SE in every way. In his review, tech critic David Phelan said it's 'not an upgraded iPhone SE,' but 'an awful lot more, from more storage to a bigger display.' Looking to save big on the iPhone 16 this Prime Day? The 128GB model has already dipped below £700 thanks to a 13 per cent discount, with similar savings to be found on the larger storage options. In his review of the iPhone 16, tech critic David Phelan praised the smartphone's 'extremely useful camera control, the funky audio options and faster wireless charging.' He added, 'feature after feature that you might have expected to be Pro-only is on the iPhone 16,' making it an excellent option if you'd been saving up for one of the pricier models. It's also worth noting that there's around 10 per cent off the 256GB and 512GB models too, with John Lewis price matching over Prime Day and beyond. This is the lowest price I've seen on a pack of four AirTags since Black Friday last year. If you're like me and constantly losing things, these are a game-changer. In my review, I raved about how you can track your stuff with precise turn-by-turn directions in an augmented-reality environment inside the Find My app. These AirTags are a lifesaver if you ever misplace your wallet or your keys. If you want to upgrade your desktop set-up, there's a small reduction on the Mac mini desktop computer. It has Apple's latest M4 chip, and its mini dimensions mean that it'll slot perfectly into a small home office. The price dropped by a modest 12 per cent back in May, so we'll let you know if there are further reductions once Prime Day arrives.
