All Neighbours spoilers for next week as character suffers amnesia

Metro19-07-2025
Neighbours are lining up a huge week for the Varga-Murphy family, as one member of the clan is diagnosed with amnesia.
To make matters worse, in the wake of their accent, they completely forget another member of their clan.
A very Ramsay Street story! Luckily, an 80s legend is on hand to give them some TLC in Erinsborough Hospital.
It's a big week for Jane Harris (Annie Jones), too. She firstly discovers that ex-fiancé Mike Young (Guy Pearce) is engaged to his new partner, and then learns that Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano) has been secretly recording her, fearing that she was mistreating his daughter Abigail.
In the aftermath, Jane makes a shocking admission…
Elsewhere, Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will) can't resist keeping an eye on Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) when she fears working alone, and Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) notices that Saskia Ramsay (Mia Foran) is being overly clingly.
Desperate for answers, she and Wendy Rodwell (Candice Leask) contact her old school.

Here's a look at next week in Neighbours…
Aaron (Matt Wilson) checks in on Jane under the pretence of visiting the girls, with Sam (Henrietta Graham) confiding in him that she has some major news about her dad Mike.
He's been engaged to girlfriend Angela – and they try their upmost to keep it from Jane. She soon smells a rat and pretends that she's unbothered, but when they're gone, starts to pack away photos of her and Mike together.
Leo feels regretful about installing a spy-cam on Abigail's tablet so that he can monitor Jane's treatment of her, and Krista (Majella Davis) volunteers to retrieve it and stop the recording.
However, when before she can get the chance, she finds it first and is mortified.
Elsewhere, Saskia is becoming overly clingy with Susan, and is disappointed when she wraps up their time together at Eirini to go to the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation.
Susan's stunned when the youngster follows her there, beginning to find her closeness a little peculiar, and is relieved when Max (Ben Jackson) offers to take her for lunch.
Saskia is frustrated, saying she doesn't need babysitting anymore, and emotionally blackmails her brother into believing that it wasn't her who locked Wendy in the school store room.
Across the Complex, Krista is feeling positive about Paul's (Stefan Dennis) proposal for the hotel event, but is deflated when he decides that he'll plan it all himself.
As she debriefs to Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou), the two women are clearly feeling out of sorts. Terese is ashamed about having to sell Power Road, and Krista encourages her to be honest with Paul, Karl (Alan Fletcher) and Susan.
Another person feeling like they've failed themselves is Byron (Xavier Molyneux). He admits to Leo that he doesn't know what he wants to do in life, and later downloads to Trevor the dog about feeling directionless.
Jane demands answers from Leo, who – although apologetic – stands by his decision to protect Abigail. Nicolette (Hannah Monson), Krista and Aaron are furious with him, but as they view the footage, they do discover something concerning.
They can see her packing away photos, and acting out sorts.
The group rush over to confront her, but she's nowhere to be seen. Suddenly, there's a concern for Jane's welfare.
The next day, having reunited with her mum, Nic encourages her mum to open up. She coyly admits that her erratic behaviour has been stemmed from the fear of dying alone like her mum Amanda (Briony Behets).
The problems continue for the Harris-Stone clan when Byron snaps at Taye(Lakota Johnson) when his phone keeps pinging, assuming that it's Sadie (Emerald Chan) reaching out.
Max decides to stage an intervention, which leaves him with an idea.
Down at Lassiters, Holly is fearful that Gavin Bowman (Cameron MacDonald) will seek her out while working on the drinks van by the lake. She explains to Max and Taye that she doesn't want to let Krista down, or live in fear.
The two ask a huge favour from Cara (Sara West) as she begins her new career in the police force: will she protect Holly?
Cara puts the lads at ease, reassuring them that the police are keeping a close eye on Bowman, but Remi (Naomi Rukavina) feels unsettled by the situation. Little do they all realise, Holly has sought an alternative solution.
She's landed on Andrew's doorstep asking for support, but he stands firm on his boundaries and sends her on her way.
On Power Road, Max and Taye run into Bowman at the garage, and he instantly gets under Taye's skin. The lads force him to take his business elsewhere.
Holly's saddened when Andrew messages her to say that he's passed the task of her protection onto Cara. Nevertheless, she's still more then capable – and steps up her investigation after hearing about his insults to Taye.
She chases after him down an alleyway in the Complex, unaware that Remi is also making her way down. The two women clash, and Remi is knocked unconscious.
Elsewhere, Wendy feels neglected by Andrew when she wants to discuss the storeroom incident, and instead turns to Susan.
She notes that Saskia has become quite intense over the last few days, and the two women resolve to contact her old school in Queensland for some answers.
Following Remi's accident, Holly is left alone. Andrew hears that she's by herself and tries to hide his concern, while Karl keeps his daughter company at the drinks van.
He ends up being more of a nuisance than expected, and when she snaps, he leaves her. Andrew decides to keep an eye from a distance, hiding in the bushes.
However, he knows that the next day, the station's resources will be too stretched to keep an eye on her.
At the hospital, Remi regains consciousness but is still unresponsive. She knocked her head on the corner of the table, and everyone is concerned for her wellbeing.
At first glance, it seems like she's doing well… but Remi begins to panic that Cara will only land herself in more trouble with Bowman, and the stress is not helping her recovery!
Later, she experiences a concerning neurological event while talking to Terese, and as her family arrive for a visit, it's clear that she only remembers Dex and JJ. She has no memory of ever meeting Cara.
Cara is devastated that her wife can't remember her, and she begins to spiral when it's clear that she's the only one she's forgotten.
Remi's neurologist Dr Tucker seeks a second opinion from 80s icon Dr Beverly Marshall (Shaunna O'Grady), who comes to the conclusion that she must be suffering from systematised amnesia.
Taye tries to piece together his sister's version of her life that she remembers, and is horrified that she thinks she raised Dex and JJ on her own.
Elsewhere, Karl moves into his new workspace, with Terese revealing that the powers that be have approved her application to rezone Power Road.
Karl is worried what this might mean for the tenants of the various businesses that line the thoroughfare, including his tram cafe.
Plus, Holly and Andrew are put into an awkward position when Wendy insists that she and Max join them for breakfast.
The conversation turns to Bowman, and when Andrew toes the company line, Holly is left feeling hurt. More Trending
Later, Wendy suggests to her husband that she pays a visit to the pavilion to check on Holly, but as he watches on, he spots Holly and Max kissing. Simmering with jealousy, he makes his way over.
There, she asks him to make up his mind – does he care about her or not?

Strictly star swaps ballroom for Hollywood with movie debut

Olympic champion and former Strictly Come Dancing star Nicola Adams has lined up her debut acting role in an upcoming Hollywood movie. Former professional boxer Nicola, 42, appeared on the 18th series of the BBC dance competition in 2020. She made history when partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones as the show's first-ever same-sex partnership. However, her Strictly dreams were cut abruptly short when they were forced to withdraw during the fourth week of the competition, after Katya tested positive for Covid-19. The two-time Olympic champ will now pursue another dream—turning her hand to acting in an upcoming movie. Wake up to find news on your TV shows in your inbox every morning with Metro's TV Newsletter. Sign up to our newsletter and then select your show in the link we'll send you so we can get TV news tailored to you. Nicola will star alongside Poppy Delevigne, Jack Kesy, and Bruce Willis's daughter, Rumer, in the allegorical thriller The Gun on Second Street. Talking about her career move, Nicola told The Sun: 'I just want to work with people that are just as hungry as I am. 'I'm not one of those people that just show up and just expect everything to be fine. 'I put in the work, I put in the graft, just as I do as an athlete as well. I want to take it as far as I can in terms of how I grow as an actor, being able to experience different types of roles, playing different characters that really flex my abilities and my ability to be able to dig deep on the emotions that are needed for the more dark characters.' Written and directed by Rohit Karn Batra, its story follows two police officers who are called to a domestic violence dispute on the titular Second Street in Philadelphia. The call-out goes awry when one officer accidentally shoots and kills the other. The film is described as an allegory about the gun crisis in America. At present, Nicola is listed on IMDB, although her character has not been named. Nicola rose to fame during the Olympics in 2012, becoming the first female boxer to win Olympic Gold for Britain. She went on to successfully defend her title at Rio 2016, before winning the title of WBO (World Boxing Organisation) flyweight in 2019. The athlete was forced into an early retirement that same year due to a serious eye injury, having only fought six times as a pro. She returned to the spotlight the very next year as a Strictly hopeful and has since expressed how much she'd love to return as a contestant due to 'unfinished business' after her premature departure. Of her decision to retire, Nicola said in 2019: 'I'm immensely honoured to have represented our country—to win double Olympic gold medals and then the WBO championship belt is a dream come true. 'But it's not without taking its toll on my body, and aside from the expected aches and pains, I've been advised that any further impact to my eye would most likely lead to irreparable damage and permanent vision loss. 'Boxing has always been such an important part of my life—and it always will—but after training every day for over 20 years, my body is quite looking forward to a rest!' More recently, Nicola is reported to have split from her partner of seven years, Ella Baig. The boxer began dating the OnlyFans model, 27, after they met on a night out in 2018. More Trending Now, the couple share two-year-old son, Taylor Nate, who was born via IVF using one of Nicola's eggs. A spokesperson told The Sun in March: 'Nicola and Ella have shared an incredible journey together, full of love, growth, and resilience. 'After much thoughtful reflection and important therapy work, they have made the difficult decision to separate. The shock secret soapie flings you DID NOT know about - including 'hours of passion' between Heath Ledger and Kate Ritchie

The Aussie TV industry may be small, but it's had its fair share of romantic interludes over the years. Yes, Neighbours' Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan got their airtime in the pages, as did her sister Dannii Minogue and the late Julian McMahon after sparks flew in Home and Away. But what about the rest? Turns out, there is an underground archive of soap stars that slipped into the sheets together and slipped off the tabloid radar without anyone noticing. From Neighbours actors that got too neighbourly to Home and Away stars that couldn't leave their feelings in Summer Bay, the TV circuit proves to be a hotbed of hedonism. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Heath Ledger and Kate Ritchie (Home and Away) It seems Heath Ledger and Kate Ritchie's on-screen romance spilled into reality after the Gold Logie winner made a telling comment about her time acting alongside the late star. Heath, who played bad boy Scott Irwin, and Kate, who played Sally Fletcher, were love interests on the show, both being around 17 at the time. In 2018, Kate sat down for an interview to celebrate 30 years of the hit soap and shed light on her relationship with the Hollywood star. 'Heath was very good looking, very charming,' she said in the trailer. 'There were a few hours of teenage passion.' While the pair never confirmed a relationship or tryst of any kind, Kate did go on to say that she was 'the envy of all the girls on set' as she got to lock lips with hunky Heath multiple times on the show. Tragically, Heath was found dead at a New York City apartment on January 22, 2008, after an accidental overdose, following months of physical and emotional exhaustion. Axle Whitehead and Samara Weaving (Home and Away) Life imitated art for Axle Whitehead and Samara Weaving, who announced their relationship while their fictional romance blossomed on screens. Axle, who played Liam Murphy, and Samara, who played Indi Walker, reportedly dated briefly in July 2012. However, the alliance was over quicker than it started, with both the stars spotted cuddling up with other people in August that year. Axle was snapped with a beautiful brunette at a Surry Hills bar and Samara was seen getting close to her new man in Sydney's inner west, according to Nine Honey. The split appeared sugary sweet, with Axle claiming that they remained good friends with a lot of respect for each other. Samara soon turned her sights to Hollywood, starring in blockbusters Ready or Not, Babylon and Borderline. Axle, on the other hand, spends his time playing music gigs at small venues across Sydney and selling his used music equipment on Instagram. Lincoln Lewis and Indiana Evans (Home and Away) Did you know that Lincoln Lewis and Indiana Evans were an item? These Home and Away lovebirds also enjoyed a brief stint of dating, but called a time out on their romance in 2008 after just a few months together. However, their short-lived romance became the talk of the town in 2009 after Lincoln confessed that he had filmed a sex tape the year prior and showed it to his castmates. At the time, The Daily Telegraph reported that the clip featured a 'teenage TV starlet'. Daily Mail is not suggesting that Indiana was involved in the alleged scandal. 'You do stupid things when you are young,' he told the publication in 2010. 'But you learn from your mistakes, that's part of growing up — this mistake, and what I have learnt, will contribute a lot to making me a better person in the future.' Stefan Dennis and Gayle Blakeney (Neighbours) Before Stefan Dennis and Gail Easdale lived happily ever after, there was a Gayle of another kind on the scene - and the screen. Gayle Blakeney, who played Christina Alessi on the show, dated the longtime Neighbours star between 1990 and 1992. And while their characters wed on the show, the pair didn't make it to the altar in real-life, instead parting amicably and Stefan moving on to another Neighbours castmate... Stefan Dennis and Natalie Imbruglia (Neighbours) It seems Stefan was quite the fan of the Neighbours watering hole, for pretty quickly he was embroiled in a secret romance with another one of his co-stars Natalie Imbruglia. Natalie, who went on to enjoy a successful music career with hits such as Torn and Big Mistake, first appeared on the beloved soapie in 1992 as Beth Brennan. Stefan revealed that the pair struck up a relationship after sparks flew on set, leading to his reputation among the cast as a ladies' man. 'Because of my relationship with Gayle and later, in a well-kept secret, I was also going out with Natalie Imbruglia, there was a rumour that I was making my way through the female cast,' he told Stellar in 2022. The revelation was a shock, not only because it slid under the tabloids' radar, but because Stefan was 17 years her senior. Beau Brady and Bec Hewitt (Home and Away) Bec Hewitt (Cartwright at the time) and Beau Brady's relationship was widely covered at the time, but the early noughties romance may have slipped your minds since it came crumbling down twenty years ago. The couple, taking their on-screen relationship off-screen, dated for four years and were hailed as Australia's soapie sweethearts. Beau even proposed, with the couple enjoying a few months engaged before Bec called off it off in 2004 and broke hearts across the country. In the ultimate plot twist, Bec moved into WAG territory the following year, dating tennis star Lleyton Hewitt for six weeks before getting engaged in 2005 and then married. The pair have now been playing the tennis game that is marriage for 20 years. Speaking with Woman's Day magazine in 2010, Beau broke his silence on their split and also made some shock claims about the fallout of their relationship. 'I'm only speculating, but in the end I'm still not really sure why Bec broke it off. Maybe it was because I didn't own a Ferrari!' he told the mag. Beau also claimed that Bec started texting and calling Lleyton while they were together and that she disappeared for more than a week before dumping him. 'I thought there was nothing to it because - let's face it - I'm a much better looking dude than Lleyton,' he added. Sigh... There's nothing worse than when your former tennis partner starts calling fouls.
