‘I am free from today': Assam man celebrates divorce by bathing in 40 litres of milk, video goes viral

'I am free from today,' said Manik Ali as he bizarrely celebrated his divorce, now a viral moment on the Internet. Ali bathed in 40 litres of milk and announced that he was free from his wife, who allegedly eloped with her lover twice.
According to a report in Northeast Live, Ali tried to reconcile his marriage for their daughter; however, his wife allegedly continued to have an extramarital affair and also abandoned her family several times. Distressed by his wife's actions, Ali decided to file for a divorce and was subsequently separated. In the viral video, shared by the Instagram handle @zindagi.gulzar.h, Ali can be seen wearing a white vest and blue jeans and pouring reportedly 40 litres of milk on his body. 'I am free,' elated Ali says, looking into the camera.
The incident occurred in Baraliyapar village under the Mukalmua police station in Assam's Nalbari.

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over three million views. Several social media users shared their reaction, with one saying, 'Good decision.'
Another user slammed Ali for wasting milk. 'This says all about the mindset of ppl where they think only n only about yourselves, if you are getting peace by doing all this then take it brother, but by doing all this you are showing so much that you are how immature you were n you are, god bless this guy,' a third user reacted.
A similar incident came to light last year, where a man from Haryana hosted an extravagant party after getting divorced from his wife. The event included a picture from his wedding, along with the dates of the marriage and divorce. The man also cut several cakes with his family.
