Vanessa Feltz's wedding guest-ready floral maxi dress is now 50% off as she scoops reality TV award

Vanessa Feltz looked stunning in River Island's floral maxi dress ahead of winning an award at the National Reality Television Awards, and we found it for half price
This year's National Reality Television Awards have kicked off, and one of the first winners of the night was Vanessa Feltz, who picked up the award for Best Talk Show for her show Vanessa. Although she was seen celebrating in a stunning glittering gown at the awards ceremony, there's another of Vanessa's dresses that have caught our eye recently, as she hosted her chat show in a stunning floral maxi dress.
Vanessa's exact dress hails from high street fave River Island, and although it's currently sold out online (except for a size 10 in the petite length version), we did manage to track it down in all sizes… and for half the price. Hidden away on Secret Sales, the River Island Purple Floral Ruffle Maxi Dress has been slashed from £85 to £42.50, and unlike everywhere else, it's still available in all sizes from a 6 to an 18.
The dress was a limited edition design, so it's no surprise that it's sold out already. However if you're quick to head over to Secret Sales, you'll still be able to grab yourself a bargain.
Vanessa's floral maxi dress would make the perfect choice if you're a guest at an upcoming summer wedding and can't quite decide what to wear. It has a high-low style hemline, with a mini length that's carefully hidden by multiple trailing ruffles to keep it modest and appropriate for more formal settings.
The pink and purple print is perfect for bringing that summery vibe, and it has a sleeveless design that'll keep you cool and comfortable, Meanwhile the higher neckline means there's not too much skin on show if you prefer to stay a little covered up.
The shift-style silhouette of the River Island Maxi Dress is also perfect for keeping you comfortable without it feeling too clingy, with chiffon-style material that not only keeps you cool in the heat, but gives you plenty of movement.
If you're looking for a more streamlined silhouette, Topshop's Ruffle Cami Slip Maxi Dress In Pink Based Floral (£72) has a more figure-hugging slip dress shape, but keeps some ruffle details similar to Vanessa's River Island dress. The ruffles have been carefully placed to create a flattering illusion of curves, with a subtle floral print for that summer feeling.
You can streamline your look even more with Mango's Floral Dress With Ruffle Detail, which is also on sale down from £89.99 to £49.99. It features a softer watercolour floral print, with a ribbon detail around the waist and fluttery ruffles on the shoulders.
However if you've been inspired by Vanessa's dress, you can nab yourself the River Island Purple Floral Ruffle Maxi Dress at Secret Sales now.

Vanessa Feltz stuns in a green floral gown as she continues to show off her weight loss

Vanessa Feltz stunned in a green floral gown as she continued to show off her weight loss on Monday. The TV presenter, 63, has been candid about her challenges with her weight in the past but has worked to maintain her slim figure. Leaving her TV show in London, she wore a summery midi dress with a tired skirt and ruffles. Vanessa completed her outfit with a pair of bright pink flip flops and layered a cream, boucle jacket over the top. She looked in high spirits as she carried her dress from last week's National Reality TV Awards over her arm. The talk show host revealed the secret behind her weight loss after admitting she has battled with her body image for decades. The former This Morning presenter has been candid about her challenges with her weight in the past, having fluctuated dramatically between sizes 10 and 22. Vanessa has described the 'turmoil' of dieting as soul-destroying, with her weight previously yo-yoing for 18 month periods as she came on and off eating plans. But in recent times, Vanessa has managed to sustain a slim figure. The presenter was pictured flaunting her impressive physique as she was awarded the prestigious Talk Show gong at the National Reality TV Awards on Wednesday. She arrived for the event, which was held at London's Porchester Hall, in a stunning pale pink gown with silver beaded detailing. The broadcaster proudly posed for snaps as she arrived for the ceremony, before heading backstage to show off her award. Speaking in OK! magazine in April, Vanessa has revealed the secret behind her sustained good looks. After being complimented on her figure, she replied: 'Oh that's very nice of you to say, thank you. Vanessa has been candid about her struggles with her weight in the past, having fluctuated between sizes 22 and 10. Pictured in 2009 She added: 'What have I been doing? I don't know! I think it's because I'm working so much, to be honest. 'I'm just working seven days a week. I've got the new Vanessa show on Channel 5 every day at 12.30pm. Then I do LBC Saturdays and Sundays. 'Being busy and on my feet must be contributing to how I look.' It was only a couple of years ago that Vanessa's cheating ex-boyfriend, Ben Ofoedu, branded her a 'chubby blonde' in a cheap shot after their breakup. But just months later, the presenter was showing off a new-look and impressive figure, having lost 2st thanks to what she called a 'broken heart diet'. Vanessa admitted that following the split, which arose after allegations of Ben cheating were leaked to the press, she 'hadn't eaten for months'.

Mango out to conquer UK with teen range

The Spanish clothing retailer Mango is targeting British teenagers as its next engine of growth after spotting a gap in the market. The company, best known for its womenswear, is planning to open more standalone stores for 11 to 15-year-olds in the UK after a sharp rise in sales of its teen collection. Mango Teen sales in the UK rose 400 per cent in the first half of the year compared with the same period last year, driven by shop openings and increased demand. While Shein and New Look are among the few fashion brands targeting teenagers in the UK, Mango believes many high street rivals are missing the mark. Zara's children's line and H&M's kidswear typically stop at age 14 and are not explicitly aimed at teenagers. Mango Teen was launched in 2021 to bridge the gap between the company's children's and adult ranges. The first standalone Mango Teen store opened in Spain in 2022. Since then, the company's Kids and Teen categories have delivered double-digit turnover growth. In June 2024, Mango launched its first UK Teen store on Carnaby Street in London. Like-for-like sales in the store for the second quarter of this year were up 110 per cent against the first quarter. Its third UK Teen store opened in Glasgow on August 1, with more to follow, although the company has not confirmed how many or in what locations. The teen-focused rollout is part of a broader global expansion strategy. Mango operates more than 40 standalone Teen stores and has a presence in 95 markets worldwide. 'We see a clear gap in the market for youthful, contemporary and good quality fashion for teens at a reasonable price point,' Berta Moral, global director of kids and teen at Mango, said. She said the company saw 'real potential' in the UK for Mango's designs with a 'fresh, youthful and Mediterranean vibe'. In the UK, Mango has overtaken rival Spanish brand Zara in the race for bricks-and-mortar dominance, with more than 70 stores across Britain compared with Zara's 60. Globally, Mango operates more than 2,700 stores and has been accelerating its international footprint. The retailer reported strong full-year results for 2024, with turnover up 7.6 per cent to €3.3 billion. International markets contributed 78 per cent of total revenue. Net profit rose 27 per cent to €219 million, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation climbed 19 per cent to €636 million.
