Major international artist set to perform at 2025 Logie Awards alongside Guy Sebastian
Richard Marx, who has sold 30 million albums worldwide and is the name behind '80s hits such as What About Me? and Right Here Waiting, will be performing at The Star Sydney on August 3.
The singer-songwriter is set to deliver a medley of his iconic hits to Aussie audiences alongside homegrown star Guy Sebastian, who will sing his new track, Get It Done.
Richard released a statement following the announcement, revealing that his passionate Aussie fans inspired him to bring 'something special' to his Logies performance this year.
'Australians have always been huge supporters of my music and have brought their passion and infectious energy to my live shows across the decades,' he said.

Also on the musical line-up is beloved Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes, who will headline the night with a repertoire spanning four decades of fan favourites.
Jimmy, who has 21 number-one albums under his belt as well as a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame, revealed he couldn't wait to 'get the party jumping' at the annual awards ceremony.
'I am excited about playing at the Logies, television's big night of nights,' the 69-year-old said.
'It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock'n'roll music to get the party jumping.'
Richard, Guy and Jimmy will be joined by the likes of Kitty Flanagan, Hamish Blake and Leigh Sales, who are just a few of the presenters expected to wow the crowd.
It has also been revealed that Sam Pang will host the event for the third time.
Sam's cheeky and irreverent comedy as host last year and in 2023 proved to be a big hit with audiences and TV's A-list, as well as a major ratings winner for Seven.
'It's been an honour to host the last two years and I'm looking forward to again celebrating the talented people and amazing shows that combine to make the Australian television industry something everyone can be proud of,' Sam told The Herald Sun.
'I am very excited to return for another Logies and would like to thank Seven for asking me back.'
The Logie nominations were officially announced in June at the Sydney Opera House and Aussies were relieved to see a certain TV icon up for the most coveted category.
Lynne McGranger, who played Irene Roberts on the soap opera Home and Away for over 33 years, has finally scored a Gold Logie nomination for her hard work.
Taking to Instagram, the 72-year-old Aussie star gushed about the milestone moment in her career and urged fans to vote.
'Well this is some fabulous news to get while I'm away!!' she wrote.
'I am so thrilled to be nominated for a Silver Logie for Best Lead Actress in a Drama and the coveted GOLD LOGIE!'
Voting is now open and will remain so until 7pm on Friday August 1.
The ceremony will be available to watch on Seven and 7Plus.

So here you have a local artist playing Can't Hold Us, which is a very jumpy song and a very high energy song, and the crowd responded appropriately, and it's definitively the strongest shaking we saw.' Sheeran is one of the most successful singers of his generation and the third most followed artist globally on streaming platform Spotify. His 2017 hit Shape of You has been streamed 4.5billion times. Perfect, from the same year, has 3.5billion streams and 2014's Photograph just over three billion.

Let's Go Karaoke! – Season 1 Episode 2 Recap & Review
Episode 2 Episode 2 of Let's Go Karaoke! starts with Satomi dreaming about giving a bad performance in front of an audience and having to step out of his role in the choir festival. Because of that, he can barely sleep through the night. While he's worried about that, another problem brews far away from him. The mafia starts a fight about their singing in a public bathhouse. However, Kyouji then starts giving advice and impresses everyone. And that's when he tells them he has a teacher who has been helping him a lot. Now, there's a whole group of people wanting the boy's classes, as well. The next day, Satomi is on his way to a strawberry-picking activity in school, but he isn't very excited. So, to save him (or doom him), Kyouji arrives at the right time and takes the boy to their usual karaoke place. But this time, it's full of other gangsters. Accordingly, Satomi gets scared out of his mind by the sight. Thankfully, they're surprisingly nice to him. One of them even offers him orange juice. Then, he listens to them one by one and gives them advice. However, sometimes he's too harsh and ends up infuriating one of the gangsters. After, he apologizes and tells them ways they can improve even without his help. On his way back home, he tells Kyouji that he can't teach every single one of them, but he can still help him. With that, his bond with him becomes stronger. Even though the boy realizes it was the perfect chance to leave the Mafia story behind, he doesn't regret continuing their lessons. After this event, Satomi's nightmares change a little. He dreams that Kyouji and all the other gangsters are performing for him in a museum, and he has to give them advice. Then, he wakes up screaming in the middle of class. Later, he has his club activities, but he can't get excited about them. Even when he arrives home, he can't muster up the courage to tell his mother about the choir festival. He doesn't believe in his singing anymore. But one good thing comes out of that day, as he sees his dad watching TV and gets ideas for good songs that fit Kyuoji's voice. He presents them to the gangaster, who, in return, congratulates and pats him on the head. However, their encounter takes an ominous turn. They have to take a shortcut and go through a dangerous area in town, where Kyouji works. So the man decides to make a map with places the boy should avoid. When Satomi tries to find a piece of paper for the man, he ends up finding someone's finger. After that, his dreams change once again, and he dreams about him and all the other gangsters in karaoke, sad about Kyouji being tattooed, kicked out of the Mafia, and having his finger cut. The Episode Review Let's Go Karaoke! seems to be finding a better rhythm to its story, making a better use of its comedy. Satomi finds himself in a weird and kind of awful situation, so it's great to explore the absurdity of that. Also, it's wholesome seeing how he begins to like Kyouji little by little. Still, it's good to know it'll only be five episodes long, as there isn't much substance to the series. Although the jokes are better in episode two, they aren't entertaining enough to carry the series to new heights. And to make it worse, the boy's conflict seems important, but the anime barely explores it. The drama is incredibly weak, but the series still tries to present his school life and problems. Furthermore, the episode's ending is quite strange. It gives a more serious look to the situation, something we hadn't seen yet. And while the boy is obviously shaken, the incident is only used as another joke. Although it fits the anime more than going to the edgier side, Let's Go Karaoke! doesn't mix these two aspects well. Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Sony Pictures settle songwriter's 'Dazed and Confused' lawsuit
Aug 1 (Reuters) - Songwriter Jake Holmes has settled a lawsuit that accused former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page, music publisher Warner Chappell (WMG.O), opens new tab and film studio Sony Pictures (6758.T), opens new tab of violating his rights in the song "Dazed and Confused," according to a Friday filing in California federal court. The parties told the court, opens new tab that they had resolved their dispute and were finalizing a written settlement. Details of the settlement agreement were not immediately available. Holmes' attorney Daniel Johnson declined to comment. Spokespeople for Warner Music and Sony Pictures did not immediately respond to requests for comment or more information about the settlement. Holmes, a singer-songwriter and prominent creator of advertising jingles, wrote "Dazed and Confused" in 1967. Page's band, the Yardbirds, reworked it later that year, and his next band, Led Zeppelin, featured it on their debut album in 1969. Holmes first sued Page for copyright infringement in 2010 over his versions of the song. That dispute was settled in 2011. Holmes filed a new lawsuit in May alleging that Page released several archival Yardbirds live versions of "Dazed and Confused" that only credit Page as the song's writer, breaking their settlement agreement and infringing Holmes' copyright. The complaint said that the Sony Pictures documentary "Becoming Led Zeppelin," released in February also unlawfully featured "Dazed and Confused" without compensating or crediting Holmes. Page, Sony Pictures and Warner Chappell did not respond to the allegations in court. The case is Holmes v. Page, U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, No. 2:25-cv-03977.
