,

and Fatima Sana Shaikh, this film is seen as a follow-up to his much-loved 2007 film 'Life...
In A Metro'.
The film has won praise from both critics and audiences. However, when it comes to the box office, its journey has been a bit slow but steady.
Crosses Rs 26 crore in first week
As per early estimates by Sacnilk, 'Metro... In Dino' wrapped up its first week by earning Rs 2.15 crore on Day 7. This pushed its total collection to Rs 26.75 crore.
The film got off to a strong start, minting Rs 16.75 crore in its opening weekend. It made Rs 3.5 crore on Friday, jumped to Rs 6 crore on Saturday and reached Rs 7.25 crore on Sunday.
As usual, collections dipped during the weekdays. It collected Rs 2.5 crore on Monday, Rs 3 crore on Tuesday, Rs 2.35 crore on Wednesday and ended Thursday with Rs 2.15 crore.
Love stories set in city chaos
'Metro... In Dino' once again takes us into the busy streets and quiet corners of a city, showing how love, trust, heartbreak and fresh starts unfold. Much like 'Life... In A Metro', it weaves together different stories, all tied by the buzz of urban life.

Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor returning from the original film. She shines with her calm strength. Neena Gupta brings her special charm and weight. Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal and
Aditya
Roy Kapur add a young, breezy feel. Meanwhile, seasoned actors like Anupam Kher and Pankaj Tripathi fill the film with warmth and gentle laughs.
Movie review
'The Times of India' shared a balanced take on the film. The movie review read, "Despite being largely pleasant, some tracks don't quite add up, feel uneven and don't know where to end.
After an engaging build up, the second half feels a tad stretched. You also wish the story scratched the surface a little more, especially for Konkona-Neena Gupta track, where the actors have the potential and gravitas to dig deeper."
Still, it also pointed out why the film clicks in today's times. The review said,'There has been a scarcity of love stories in Bollywood and Metro In Dino, elevated by some fine performances, fills that gap perfectly. It is a breezy, intimate watch tailor-made for a rainy day."
Will it hold up next week?
With new films like 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' and 'Maalik' releasing this Friday, all eyes are on how 'Metro... In Dino' holds up at the box office. For now, it has managed to keep a steady run and won hearts with its take on city love stories.

Superman Week 1 India Box Office: James Gunn's DC superhero flick stands at below-par Rs 32.75 crore after 7 days
