IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Under this recruitment drive, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Intelligence Bureau aims to fill up a total of 3717 posts in the organisation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Intelligence Bureau (MHA, IB) has begun the online application process for the recruitment of 3,717 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) Grade-II/Executive posts. The registration will conclude on August 10, 2025. Those interested and eligible can apply for the posts on the official website at mha.gov.in or ncs.gov.in.
Under this recruitment drive, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Intelligence Bureau aims to fill up a total of 3717 posts in the organisation. Check vacancy details below:

IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognised university or equivalent. They must also have good knowledge of computers.
Age Limit: Candidates seeking the position must be between the ages of 18 and 27 as of August 10, 2025.
IB ACIO Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process includes three stages — Tier-I (Objective), Tier-II (Descriptive), and Interview. The Tier I exam will contain 100 Objective type MCQs, divided into 5 parts containing 20 questions of 1 mark each. Questions will be asked from Current Affairs, General Studies, Numerical aptitude, Reasoning/logical aptitude and English. For each incorrect answer, one-fourth of one marks will be deducted. The exam will be held for an hour.
The Tier-II will comprise descriptive type paper of 50 marks. This will include Essay (20 marks), English comprehension (10 marks) and long answer type questions (2 questions of 10 marks each on Current Affairs, Economics, Socio-political issues (20 marks). This exam will also be held for one hour and contains a total of 50 marks.
Those who clear both the rounds will have to appear for the interview which will feature 100 marks.

Candidates selected for the posts can expect a salary ranging from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400.

MoS Margherita says India, South Africa relations based on mutual trust

'India's engagement with Africa, including South Africa, is guided by the principles of Prime Minister Modi. Our engagement with Africa is not transitional; it is transformational," he said while addressing a gathering of Assamese expatriates and Indian-origin South Africans here. Margherita said that India regards its diaspora as one of its greatest assets while seeking their support 'to strengthen the India-South Africa relationships." Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday asked the agencies to follow a security-first approach, ensure habitual alertness, and coordination an integral part of their working methodology. Speaking at the two-day 'National Security Strategy Conference – 2025' organised by the Intelligence Bureau, the Home Minister said, 'India is one of the fastest emerging economies, and with that, the challenges before the country are also increasing. We must stay more vigilant and tackle problems with heightened awareness.' Highlighting the importance of the Conference, Shah said, the deliberations at the event enable senior officers to guide young officers and familiarise them with challenges by showing them the path in finding solutions. 'Police forces of all states and central investigative agencies should move forward with the goal of becoming the best in the world,' he exhorted, while adding that to address the challenges coming before the nation, a reliable ecosystem for real-time data sharing must be established.
