Deepender, MP from Rohtak, lashed out at the ruling party, stating, "The BJP's arrogance and intoxication with power have crossed limits.
Forcing a Haryana Police DSP to apologise simply because a BJP leader wasn't recognised at the chief minister's event is shameful. The close aides of the CM are tarnishing both the dignity of the govt and the uniform."
JJP's Digvijay Chautala echoed similar sentiments, saying, "This is the first time in history that a police officer was made to sit in a humiliating manner and apologise under pressure. Such incidents severely damage the morale of the police.
The DGP must take immediate action."
In response, BJP leader Aman Chopra defended the party, hitting back at Chautala's remarks. "When your party was in power, only God knows what all was done. You are in no position to lecture anyone," he retorted.
The incident in question occurred on the morning of April 27, when chief minister Nayab Saini visited Sirsa to flag off the Cyclothon 2.0 Yatra.
Manish Singla, accompanied by a youth, was standing near the stage when Jind DSP Jitender Rana asked them to move away.

A video of the confrontation went viral, prompting the Sirsa police to facilitate a meeting between the two parties.
The DSP's apology was recorded on camera and released to the media, sparking widespread criticism from opposition leaders.

The Minister went on to ask, 'What exactly have the eight BJP MPs and two Union Ministers from Telangana done for the State in the last 11 years.' GUWAHATI Assam Congress president and Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi on Saturday (July 5, 2025) alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Assam was systematically eroding the autonomy of the tribal councils functioning under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. He held Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma primarily responsible for 'undermining the spirit' of these autonomous councils, rather than upholding their constitutional mandate. 'The people of these regions should have the authority to make decisions regarding their development. Authority should not be confined to Delhi or Dispur (the State capital); it must extend to the councils,' he said. Thousands attend funeral of businessman Khemka; dy CM, Cong netas meet kin
1 2 Patna: Thousands of people, including businessmen from all over the state, participated in the funeral procession of businessman Gopal Khemka from his residence in Gandhi Maidan area to Gulbi Ghat in Patna, where he was cremated on Sunday.
