Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office: Roars back in second weekend emerging HIT
The film had a decent to good opening last week, but following a sharp decline on weekdays, its prospects started to look a bit dim. However, it first surprised with a good hold on Friday and then witnessed a massive 150 per cent surge on Saturday. The Sunday business was relatively flat, but when Saturday goes that high, there is always a chance of muted Sunday growth.
It seems like the film will play stronger on the weekends and then slow down on weekdays. This is a typical pattern for Hollywood films, but for Rebirth, it seems much more extreme than seen with the previous instalments in the franchise. The total gross for the film after ten days in release stands at Rs. 81.25 crore (USD 9.50 million) approx. It seems poised to cross the Rs. 100 crore gross mark, which seemed doubtful after the first week. It needs to be seen if it can go higher and take down Fallen Kingdom as the second highest grossing film in the franchise, chances of which look pretty good after the weekend it had.
The film is a HIT at the Indian box office, a welcome recovery after the slip of Dominion. The Jurassic franchise is one of the biggest from Hollywood, which has given two major blockbusters. Ideally, these films should be grossing over Rs. 200 crore or even Rs. 300 crore in India, but the quality of films has always been off after the first one, which is one of the greatest films ever made.

At that point, it looked like it might cruise past USD 10 million, possibly even stretching to USD 15 million with strong legs. However, it came back of earth soon after on Sunday and the trend since then has been rather ordinary. The film has underperformed across the board, but the United States is the biggest letdown. Traditionally, the strongest market for Aamir and generally friendly to films of this genre, the US turnout was tepid, set to close under USD 2 million. The best performer is ironically the Middle East, ironic because generally films like this underperform here. So, just a weird set of performances. Will China come to the rescue? Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to release in the East Asian markets later this year, including China. Aamir Khan is the biggest name from Indian cinema in China, who has delivered two mega blockbusters in Dangal and Secret Superstar. How SZP performs in China could change the entire narrative of the film; however, that market is struggling lately, so it's unclear how that will go at this moment. 'Nimageke Kodabeku Kappa?' – This powerful line remains iconic among the people of Karnataka to this day for two reasons: for showcasing the fierce opposition against British imperialism by Rani Chennamma, the queen of Kittur who refused to pay taxes to them, and for establishing the fierce acting prowess of one of Indian cinema's most celebrated female superstars, B Saroja Saroja Devi was born in Bangalore, Mysore State (now Bengaluru, Karnataka) on January 7, 1938 to a Kannada-speaking family. Having been fond of dancing, singing and plays during her school days, it was during one such performance that she was spotted by Honnappa Bhagavatar, a pioneer of Kannada cinema, and offered the lead female role in his film 'Mahakavi Kalidasa' (1955).
