Foo Fighters makes comeback with Today's Song
Legendary band Foo Fighters returned with 'Today's Song' ever since their 2023 album 'But Here We Are'.
Foo Fighters released the new track on the occasion of the band's 30th anniversary.
In a lengthy note to accompany the release,
Dave Grohl
pays tribute to former band members including the recently fired drummer Josh Freese, founding drummer William Goldsmith, guitarist Franz Stahl and, most poignantly, the late drummer
Taylor Hawkins
, who died in 2022, as per Deadline.
In a portion of the letter addressed to Hawkins, Grohl, who apparently plays drums on the new song, writes, "Your name is spoken every day, sometimes with tears, sometimes with a smile, but you are still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever.
The enormity of your beautiful soul is only rivaled by the infinite longing we feel in your absence. We all miss you beyond words. Foo Fighters will forever include Taylor Hawkins in every note that we play, until we do finally reach our destination.
"
The new song, described in a press release as the band's "opening salvo of its next chapter," arrives 30 years since the release of Foo Fighters self-titled debut album and is the first new music since Grohl announced last year that he had fathered a daughter outside of his marriage and asked for his family for forgiveness.

Netflix axes ‘Pulse' and ‘The Residence' after just one season: Here's why
Netflix has officially canceled two of its 2025 scripted freshman series Pulse and The Residence after just one season, reported Deadline. Both series had been lingering in the renewal limbo for months before the axe finally fell. Netflix has axed The Residence after one season(X) While the streaming giant has renewed other new titles in recent months including Man on the Inside, Running Point, Ransom Canyon, and Bet, The Residence and Pulse failed to make the cut, the report added. A quiet exit for medical drama Pulse Pulse, created by Zoe Robyn, was Netflix's foray into medical procedural territory. The show starring Willa Fitzgerald and Colin Woodell struggled to make a mark in the already crowded market. Launched in April, Pulse was the fifth medical drama released in six months across networks and platforms. Pulse's arrival clashed directly with Max's popular show The Pitt which likely ate into its audience. In spite of spending four weeks in Netflix's global Top 10 and peaking at rank three with 8.5 million views, the show was canceled over a month ago. The cast and crew of the show, according to another Parade report, have already moved on to new projects. 'The Residence' axed despite star power and high budget Unlike Pulse, cancelation of The Residence was more recent and surprising, the reports stated. The Paul William Davies' creation was a murder mystery featuring an all-star cast of Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, Jason Lee and Randall Park. The Shonda Rhimes' production premiered shortly after the breakout success of Adolescence which dominated the charts and overshadowed the series. The Residence, which ranked number 2 in Top 10 charts and recorded 8.8 million views, its massive production budget made a second season financially unviable. Moreover, attempts to lower the budget were unsuccessful. 'No Good Deed' left in lurch The dark comedy anthology No Good Deed is still suspended in the uncertain territory. Created by Liz Feldman, who also made Dead to Me, the show peaked with 6 million views but hasn't yet been renewed. The Deadline report claimed the door was still open for a new concept under the same anthology banner, but for now, its future is shrouded in ambiguity. ALSO READ: NASA+ is coming to Netflix: Watch rocket launches and spacewalks live this summer FAQ Q: Which Netflix shows were canceled recently? Netflix has canceled Pulse and The Residence after just one season. Q: Why was Pulse canceled? Pulse was the last of several medical dramas to launch in a short span and was overshadowed by more successful rivals. Q: What happened to The Residence? Despite a strong cast and initial interest, The Residence was canceled due to high production costs and bad timing against breakout hit Adolescence. Q: Will No Good Deed return? Possibly. Netflix hasn't renewed it yet, but creator Liz Feldman may pitch a new concept for a second installment.

DEADLINE tour: BLACKPINK to perform FOREVER YOUNG, How You Like That and more, fans demand 'different setlist'
BLACKPINK is slated for their first full-group performance of 2025 and also their first comeback in about three years. The quartet will begin their DEADLINE world tour tomorrow, on June 5, and fans can't wait to see them live. However, on D-2, some Korean resident BLINKs heard their stage practice session from outside Goyang Stadium and shared the alleged setlist with others, leading to mixed reactions by fans. BLACKPINK's probable setlist for DEADLINE World Tour The fans who heard BLACKPINK practice for the DEADLINE concerts on June 3, recorded parts of the session and shared the clips on social media. In the video, snippets from As If It's Your Last and FOREVER YOUNG were heard. The original poster also shared that they also heard the girl group members rehearsing DDU-DU DDU-DU, How You Like That and probably PLAYING WITH FIRE as well. BLINKs who came across the post, mostly criticised the song choices. Check out fan reactions to BLACKPINK's alleged setlist Fana noted that the alleged setlist was the same as BLACKPINK's last October 2022-September 2023 BORN PINK concerts. They were understanding of the fact that the K-pop stars did not release any new album so they had to perform the songs they did in earlier shows, however, as per them, the least they could do is create a "different setlist" from their existing tracks. "at least they should perform some of the songs they never did at the last tour like ice cream, love to hate me, the happiest girl, ready for love etc," they stated. However, a few patient BLINKs felt that "Forever young and aiiyl were always going to be" in the setlist, probably because they are one of the classic BLACKPINK songs. They are hopeful that the girls might debut some of their unperformed songs along besides performing the popular tracks. Most of them felt that the girl group's discography was really short so chances of an innovative setlist was almost impossible. According to them, "the problem was going on tour without a new album" and it would have been better if they released a new album this year and headed for a tour in 2026.
