RACE 1
8. Capsity is the only two-year-old in the field, and she makes her debut for the Brett Cavanough stable. A daughter of prolific sprint sire Capitalist, she starts after two progressive 1000m trials, and is bred to thrive on rain-affected ground. 3. Tough Guy is an ex-Victorian three-year-old having his first start for the new home stable, with a string of gear changes in play, and likely to jump a short-priced favourite. Was never far away in three handy efforts down south before spelling, and been tuned up for a strong NSW debut with a solid soft-track trial at Scone. 1. Jagerschnitzel is another one having his first outing for a new Scone yard since transferring from Victoria. Form this prep is very average, but the blinkers come off. Gap to the rest.

RACE 2
5. Shamister is an underrated and very fit Dubbo five-year-old that emerges as the one to beat in an average field despite having a poor winning strike rate. Has beaten all but the winner in two of his past three from off the speed, and can settle a bit closer from a softer draw this time, and finish over them. 2. Imezaaki is trained on the course, and right in the hunt third up over the longer trip, with a leading jockey taking over. 7. Libby is still searching for that breakthrough win deep into the prep, but has run home into the placings in her past three, and looking for this longer journey now. 3. Your Temptation, back in grade over further, and 6. Bill Peyto, deep into the campaign, can both add value into exotic plays.

RACE 3
7. Yanabah is a progressive and locally trained four-year-old primed to break through fifth up. Has hit the line hard to miss out narrowly in his past two from near the speed and much further back, and has placed five times from nine career runs, often by small margins. Gets enough speed on to settle back and round them up late. 9. Halle Bee is another local, and logical threat fourth up with the leading jockey booked to ride. Has a near 50 per cent place rate from 19 starts. 3. Hardhead is over the odds deep into the prep from a soft draw, while 2. Hanoverian is a market watch resuming for only his second start off two trials.

RACE 4
2. Louisbugh can start the redemption trail here fourth up coming back 100m in trip three weeks between runs. Has been rolled in his last couple as a short-priced favourite on heavy ground, but winkers come off and drawn further out where he settles with more room in the run home are keys to an overdue win. 1. Justice Warrior is a real toiler that has beaten all but the winner in his past two at the provincials, boxing on OK after leading at Wyong last start. This draw and a drop in distance suit. Watch the betting on 4. Snap Decision, a three-year-old son of Proisir in the local Cody Morgan yard, that makes his debut from the inside draw behind an easy trial. Big gap to the remainder headed by 5. Xerxes, which can run into the minor money resuming off a quiet trial.

Aussie young gun batters his way through Sri Lanka A
Matthew Renshaw and Nathan McSweeney starred with the bat before Sam Elliott unleashed hell with the ball as Australia A powered their way to a 198-run one-day victory over Sri Lanka A in Darwin. Renshaw scored 80 off 84 balls and McSweeney blasted an unbeaten 85 off 63 balls in Friday's match at Marrara Oval to help propel Australia A to a formidable 4-332. Renshaw looms as a potential middle-order inclusion in Australia's ODI rebuild following the retirements of Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell. The 29-year-old has already featured in 14 Tests for Australia, but is yet to be chosen in either of the white-ball formats. McSweeney, with three Tests to his name, is also pushing for an ODI call-up, and he gave his hopes a massive boost with an unbeaten knock that featured nine fours and one six. Elliott's pace and change of length proved too much to handle for Sri Lanka A, the visitors losing 7-25 to go from 3-109 to 134 all out. The two teams face off in two more one-day games before taking part in two four-day matches against each other.

Wyong preview: Trainer Matthew Smith has the firepower and is quietly confident of success
Warwick Farm trainer Matthew Smith is a strong chance to bookend the meeting with dual representatives in both races. Kicking off the day is Dubai Warrior and Super Sugoi in the Central Coast Coolrooms Class 1 Handicap (1600m). Smith gave Dubai Warrior a freshen up after finishing third behind Newyork Missile at Wagga on May 1 and the gelding had a nice trial at Randwick at the end of May when a nose second to Unspoken. 'I was a bit disappointed at Wagga but we leaned a bit about him,' said Smith. 'He's doesn't have the ability to stop and start. He's a big striding horse and if he gets held up, he's not quick off the mark; he needs to be in clear running. In her first campaign, The Way Ahead has placed in three of her five starts with her latest a second to Celerity at Hawkesbury on June 17. 'She has been a horse who has been doing things upside down in her early races. She is starting to put it altogether now,' he said. 'She has slowly been improving and her last start was much better. Hopefully she can keep going in the right direction. 'Noble One wants better ground but he is going to have to start because he missed a run the other day. 'He will also get better as he gets up over a mile but his work has been good.'

Bet: Aged Care to win â– â– â– â– â– RACE 6: Gosford Air Conditioning Mdn Hcp 1300m SAPLING (9) resumed with a fourth to Gilette over 1100m at Canterbury on May 28. Was a month between runs and stepped up to 1350m here where she led before being caught on the line by Champagne Hero. Can go one better. COOL DRINKS (2) is a first starter by Cool Aza Beel and a half-brother to Group 1 winner Shout The Bar. Has trialled well including a close second to Melanite in his Canterbury trial. BELLEVUE (1) is a debutant by Bivouac. Trialling well. Bet: Sapling to win â– â– â– â– â– MERCY ME (11) is a debutant by Hellbent. Made steady ground under a hold when second in her Beaumont trial. Led and responded when shaken up to win her Wyong trial from Raging Force. SEVEN DAYS (12) started at $31 on debut but ran a very encouraging fourth to Just Awesome beaten less than a length over 1100m at Gosford on June 19. Will take improvement from the experience. JUSTICE WARRIOR (2) deserves a win after placing in eight of his 11 starts. â– â– â– â– â– COOL LAD (7) is knocking on the door after placing in three of his four runs this campaign and wasn't far away in the other. Runner-up to French Marine at Newcastle then second to Diddle Dumpling here last start. O'INVINCIBLE (5) won both runs on her first campaign including one here over 1000m. Disappointed when sixth to Livin' Thing first-up on the Kensington but has trialled well since and can bounce back. FLYING RANI (8) has been kept fresh since her two length seventh to Are Ee Que at Kembla on May 31. Led and raced away to a four length win on her June 23 Canterbury trial.
