And, despite the recent rain, temperatures in Glasgow have been reaching the high twenties - the perfect opportunity for an outdoor dinner.
I was in the mood to try something new and came across Moules Mondays, a special offer Brel has on every week.
So, after work, I grabbed my friend and we headed to the West End to try out their moules frites.
This is a Belgian delicacy, consisting of steamed mussels and french fries, served with a dollop of dijon mayonnaise.
Despite having originated in France, it was so popular in Belgium that it became their national dish.

I had never tried it before - but I had eaten mussels and chips separately, so I knew roughly what to expect.
Upon arrival, we were seated at the lovely outdoor terrace of the restaurant, and my friend and I both knew immediately what we wanted to order.
As part of the deal, you get two portions of moules, two servings of frites with aioli and a bottle of house wine or sharing beer for £36.
We decided to order the white wine. My mussels were seasoned with mariniere with cream and my friend chose the thai lemongrass and coriander flavour.
Both of us were excited when the waitress appeared at the door with the large steaming pot of food.
Our only issue was that the two-person table we were sitting at was not big enough for all of our food and drink.
Clumsily, we moved things around until we were somewhat comfortable with the space.
The mussels were deliciously flavoured and piping hot. Having tried both of our choices, I was delighted with the marinere sauce - made of lemon juice, parsley, butter and mayonnaise or creme fraiche.

My friend's topping of choice was also tasty and both of them were complemented well by the chips.
But the real highlight for both of us was the piece of soda bread we received on the side.
It was dense, flavourful and just sweet enough. After spreading butter on it, we agreed that this was the best part.
The dinner was great and left us almost full but something was missing.
That's when we glanced at the dessert menu and decided to try their chocolate fondue.
For the last half an hour, we were thoroughly entertained by dipping fruit, marshmallows and pieces of waffles.
It was a delightful and sweet end to a wonderful evening on Ashton Lane.

There are two checks you should make. 'But even if you pass them, if you're not far from failing - with seemingly increased border control rigidity - it may be safer to get a new passport (you should allow "up to three weeks" to renew, says the Passport Office). 'Check now that, on the day you enter the country, for all passports in your party: 'Will there be at least six months left (three months for the EU)? Even if so, will your passport be less than 10 years old?' To locate your passport expiry date, you'll need to refer to the document's data page, which also includes your photograph, date of birth, and passport number. ‌ Passport validity rules Before embarking on your journey, verify the requirements for the destination you're visiting. Here are some examples of the rules in different countries: For those planning to travel to the United States, it's crucial that your passport remains valid for the entire duration of your stay, although having an extra six months' validity is advised to avoid potential complications If you're bound for Australia, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from the date you enter the country For travel to New Zealand, passports must be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure date Europe In most European countries, the requirement is for three months of passport validity. However, additional regulations apply to British citizens visiting EU and Schengen countries, which specify that your passport cannot be older than 10 years. ‌ The Post Office website explains: "Passports issued after 2018 are valid for exactly 10 years. But if your passport was issued before September 2018, it might be valid for up to 10 years and nine months. "This is because, before 2018, the passport office would add up to nine extra months from your old passport to your new one. This means some people have passports that haven't officially expired and are still valid for travel worldwide. "The exception is travel in Europe, where passports must be less than 10 years old." To travel to Europe and Schengen countries, your passport must meet the following conditions: ‌ Issued less than 10 years before your departure date Valid for at least three months after your planned return date All the relevant information for travel to the EU and Schengen countries can be found on the website. If your passport is approaching its expiry date You should apply for a new passport at if your passport has expired or is not valid for the amount of time you need. With plans to expand even further, Heathrow Airport has proposed an expansion, but it will be at the cost of the passengers as ticket prices are set to rise to cover the cost Heathrow Airport has announced plans for a huge expansion - at the cost of their passengers. Heathrow's latest business plan suggests that the airport is to take on a further £8bn of debt, leaving their passengers to pay for terminal upgrades in a bid to accommodate an additional 10 million passengers annually by 2031, contingent on an increase in airline fees. ‌ The proposed 10 million passenger increase represents a 12 per cent rise on current numbers, and to do this the airport is exploring the option to raise the average charge per passenger from the current £28.46 to £33.26. ‌ ‌ Heathrow is Europe's busiest airport, and has been under plans from the government for a long-term vision of a new runway - which isn't anticipated to be operational until 2035 at the earliest. So this new proposal offers a quicker route and was submitted to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Friday, detailing upgrades to existing terminals as a means to boost capacity. Now the CAA is set to review the plans, but it comes after the airport is currently under fire for already being too expensive. Heathrow has reportedly been facing claims from airlines for being one of the world's most expensive, and have urged the regulator to reduce the charges already ‌ IAG, the parent group of Virgin Atlantic and British Airways, the Heathrow Airline Operators' Committee (AOC) and the Arora hotel group have joined together in a coordinated attack on the airport's regulatory regime. They hope to "conduct an urgent and fundamental review into the way in which Heathrow, the UK's only hub airport and the largest in Europe, is regulated, for the benefit of consumers, businesses and the UK economy," as reported by the Independent. 'Heathrow has become the world's most expensive airport, with passengers and airlines today paying £1.1bn more each year than if charges were in line with equivalent major European airports,' the partners said in a statement. However, Heathrow argue that this investment will make expansion more affordable and less disruptive. ‌ Heathrow chief executive Thomas Woldbye said in a letter to the Transport Select Committee: "One factor is that the airport's small physical footprint means a lot of our infrastructure has to be underground or built in a unique way, increasing the cost. 'We are also the busiest two-runway airport in the world, meaning the intensity of our operating environment is comparatively more complex and makes it much harder to make targeted improvements and investment while remaining operational." Paul McGuinness (Chair, No 3rd Runway Coalition) said: "The astonishing detail in Heathrow's Five Year Plan is that only £2bn is of its £10bn cost will be funded by shareholder equity; so adding a further £8bn of debt to Heathrow's current £20bn of arrears." He continued: "Heathrow's business plans shows their determination to grow irrespective of whether or not expansion takes place. The fact that 80% of this investment will be financed through debt reveals a continuation of a strategy to sweat their assets to their limit which brings with it associated risks and higher costs which will no doubt be passed onto passengers."
