Vermont Fairs and Field Days happening all across the state
The state's Department of Agriculture calls the events perfect for those looking for 'fun and authentic experience[s] in Vermont'. Combined, they draw over 300,000 people each year. The Vermont Maple Festival already concluded in April, and the Vermont Dairy Festival and the Bradford Fair are happening this weekend. The dairy festival, in Enosburg, is happening right after the state received federal recognition for its dairy industry.
'Bag Balm' included among 15 new roadside historic site markers
The Vermont Dairy Festival includes a milking contest, cattle art, a dairy baking contest, and many more events, which will be happening all day Saturday and well into Sunday afternoon.
The Bradford Fair will continue into Saturday and Sunday and include horse, pig, and goat races, as well as fairground attractions. The Fair writes, 'You've never seen hooves move this fast.'

When are this year's fair and field-days in Vermont: Plan summer 2025's fun in the sun
Summer is the season of beach-going, concert-going and soaking up all the sunshine and warm air you can find before the Vermont chill makes its inevitable return and, more often than not, overstays its welcome. Summer is also the season for visiting cute farm animals, eating lots of food that's good for the taste buds but a disaster for the waistline, and then making yourself nauseous by going on too many post-pig-out rides. In other words, summer is also fair and field-days season. These events take place in Vermont over the next couple of months, which, not coincidentally, is about how much time we've got left this summer. Whether it's in your 'hood or all the way across the state, there might just be something here to entice you to go out and celebrate all that small-town Vermont has to offer. At The Box Office: ‘Materialists'
COLCHESTER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – This week on 'At The Box Office' film critic Julia Swift discussed 'Materialists', which is about a matchmaker stuck between two love interests. Swift said that the movie 'comes off as more of a pretty typical romantic comedy' without looking down on the genre. Still, the movie has hidden depth that Swift found enjoyable. She also highlighted the film's director, Celine Song, who reportedly wrote this film based on her time as a matchmaker in NYC. Dakota Johnson, who plays the titular matchmaker, 'always plays the same character,' according to Swift. While she would have loved to see a different actor portray that character, she praised Chris Evans and his performance. Pedro Pascal also stars along side them in this movie. Overall, there is 'so much to enjoy.' Anyone interested can catch 'Materialists' in theatres. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
