Oasis fans recall 'horrific' moment fan fell to his death at Wembley
Shocked Oasis fans have recalled the moment a fan fell to their death at the band's concert at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene at the stadium on Saturday after being 'found with injuries consistent with a fall'.
'I was right there,' recalled one fan according to a comment on an Oasis fan group Facebook. 'It was horrific.'
They added: 'I was at a solo gig so thank you so much for the people around me that took me in as I was in such shock.' It comes after a mum left a 16-month-old baby home alone to die when she went on holiday.
Another person said: 'My husband saw this happen, he was stood on the balcony at one point singing to our block.'
One woman said the man fell into their block, calling what happened 'awful'. She said her friend's daughter tried to help the individual. 'Thinking of his family and friends and everyone that witnessed it,' she said.
Another witness told MailOnline: 'It was horrendous. The guy fell from a balcony. Paramedics came rushing over. There was a lot of screaming and shouting.
'It was a big fall. God knows how it happened. It was so tragic. I don't know how on Earth it happened. It was heartbreaking. He was only young.'
Oasis dedicated their song Live Forever to 'all the people who can't be here tonight' during their Sunday gig at Wembley. Addressing fans, Liam Gallagher said: 'This one's for all the people who can't be here tonight, but who are here if you know what I mean, and aren't they looking lovely. Live Forever.'
The Manchester band said they were "shocked and saddened" after the fan fell to his death.
Oasis said in a statement: 'We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show last night. Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.'
The Metropolitan Police said: 'A man – aged in his 40s – was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
'The stadium was busy and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage. If you have any information that could help us to confirm what happened, please call 101.'
A spokesperson for Wembley Stadium said on Sunday: 'Last night, Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall.
'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers.
'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.'

Pregnant Sophie Habboo cradles her growing baby bump in silk minidress as she enjoys night out with Jamie Laing at Oasis gig
Sophie Habboo cradled her baby bump during a night out with husband Jamie Laing at an Oasis concert on Sunday night. The radiant mother-to-be oozed class as she enjoyed the band's latest gig at Wembley Stadium in London. Sophie, 30, could be seen rocking out to Liam and Noel's iconic setlist with Jamie, 36, while being hosted at a luxury box. In one snap, Sophie could be seen cradling her bump, wearing an embroidered white silk minidress for the night out. Looking the part, she donned a bucket hat along with black shades, while putting on a black leather jacket to keep warm towards the end of the night. Jamie kept it casual, wearing a pair of black chinos and overshirt that featured colourful dices. Sharing the pictures with fans, Sophie said the concert 'was a 10/10 all round'. Commenting under her post, Jamie playfully replied: 'Baby's first concert.' Fans flooded the expectant mother with praise, as one remarked: 'She's a cool mum.' A second said: 'So happy for you both'. 'What a first concert! Couldn't be better! You look incredible,' said a third fan. Last month Sophie showed off her changing figure during a romantic holiday with Jamie as she displayed her bump. The stunner certainly appeared to be loving her new pregnancy shape, slipping into a white midi dress for one mirror snap. Sophie previously revealed on her and Jamie's newly named podcast NearlyParents, that she has struggled with some aspects of her pregnancy. Fans flooded Sophie with supportive messages as they gushed over the pregnant star She confessed that when her second trimester hit, she felt like she was 'dying' and was dealing with a lot of hormones that made her frequently feel irritated. 'This girl has gone from a bit of a b***h to don't come near me,' she quipped. 'Up until week eight, I was smooth sailing. No good aversions, no sickness, so much energy, I was like what is every talking about this is unbelievable. 'Week eight hit and everyone's starting to grate to me a bit. Like that man sat next to me on the plane breathing, like is it illegal if I punch him in the face?' Sophie previously showed her Chelsea roots by sharing with fans how her craziest craving so far is caviar. Also speaking on their podcast, Jamie explained they eventually found a caviar store only to discover a single pot cost £240, as he declared: 'I was like "Well that craving has to stop there and then". Back in April, Jamie and Sophie spilled the beans about their future plans on building a family during a chat with The Times. Jamie explained: 'I was really scared about kids. It's something you can't control. Sophie would then carry a baby, all these different things that I can't control and, "Oh God, what happens if this happen or that happens?" 'But I saw a clip on Instagram where someone said, "The best thing I ever had is being called Dad." I was like, "Oh, wouldn't that be cool?" So now I'm so down for it. I would like to have loads.' Jamie added he would be up for four kids, with Sophie sweetly agreeing.
