But that's not all.
To mark the moment, Mojang has rolled out two global
Community Challenges
, pushing players to work together, and the stakes come with some sweet exclusive loot.
What's New in Chase the Skies?
While
Chase the Skies
brings several gameplay enhancements like better graphics for Bedrock, a craftable saddle, and tweaks to leashes the real buzz is around three brand-new ghast variants.
Happy Ghast
Ghastling
Dried Ghast
Each one brings a unique personality to the Nether's airspace.
They're floaty, fiery, and now a central part of this update's limited-time community quest.
LATEST GAME DROP IS OUT! + COMMUNITY CHALLENGES AND MORE! | MINECRAFT MONTHLY
Challenge #1: Spawn 50 Million Happy Ghasts
Yup, 50
million
. This is the first challenge, and it can only be done in Creative Mode. Players worldwide must team up and spawn a collective total of 50 million Happy Ghasts. No timer. No pressure. Just teamwork—and a lot of flapping ghasts.
What's the reward?
Bedrock Edition
: Ghast Rider Floatie (yes, it floats)
Java Edition
: Ghast Riding Swimmer outfit (swimming never looked so ghostly)
Challenge #2: Feed One Million Ghastlings
Next up: Survival Mode gets some love. The goal? Feed 1 million snowballs to Ghastlings.
Why snowballs? Who knows—but these baby ghasts seem to love them. It's a simple act with a big community impact. The best part? Every snowball counts toward the total.
What's in it for you?
Bedrock Edition
: Happy Ghast Pilot Gear
Java Edition
: Happy Ghast Pilot Set
Once the milestones are hit, players can unlock these goodies directly from the in-game Dressing Room.
EVERYTHING New In MINECRAFT CHASE THE SKIES DROP
These Challenges Will Be Active for a Long Time
Unlike timed events that pressure players to race through content, Mojang is taking a more chill approach here. These challenges have no fixed end date.
They'll stay active until the global numbers are hit. That means whether you're a casual builder or a hardcore mob farmer, you've got time to contribute and score some unique loot.
Chase the Skies
isn't just an update—it's a vibe shift. From new mobs to community-powered rewards, it's Mojang at its most playful. So grab some snowballs, hop into Creative, and let's fill the skies with happy, squealing ghasts. See you in the Nether.

5 Mob farms to build early in Minecraft

Image via Mojang Minecraft is a very creative game where players have a wide range of creatures, items, and places to explore. In the early stage of the game, players face many issues gathering basic resources and experience points. Mob farms are essential and helpful structures in Minecraft that provide players with all the valuable resources, experience points, rare drops, and food. But in the early stage of the game, players usually face difficulties even to gather basic resources and build these, as this can be very time-consuming. This article provides 5 of the best mob farms for early-stage players in Minecraft. These farms can be built easily and will provide great output to the players. 5 best mob farms to build early in Minecraft Here are the following 5 best mob farms, which are very easy to build and will provide players with all the basic and important resources: 1. Basic spawner based farm How to Turn a Mob Spawner Into an XP Farm in Minecraft Requirements : To build a basic spawner-based farm, a player will need any mob spawner, building blocks, water buckets, and torches. How It Works : These spawners will spawn the specific mobs, and through building a kill chamber, players will be able to collect their drops and XP. Benefits : Low resource cost and high yield of XP and drops. 2. Simple dark room farm How to Make a Mob Spawner XP Farm In Minecraft: NO DUNGEON REQUIRED!!! Requirements : To build a dark room farm, players will need building blocks, trapdoors, and slabs. How It Works: Players will have to construct a dark, enclosed space where mobs spawn and fall into a water stream or pit, and from there players can kill them. Benefits: It will spawn all types of mobs without spawners, and this also works in any biome. 3. Pillar based Creeper farm Minecraft Creeper Farm - Efficient Creeper Only Design Requirements: To build a pillar-based creeper farm, players will need slabs, cats, and building blocks. How It Works: As we know, creepers fear and flee from cats, which will allow players to bring them into a killing chamber. Adding slabs will prevent other mobs from spawning. Benefits : Through this, players will have a steady and efficient supply of gunpowder to farm for explosives. 4. River based Drowned farm Simple Trident Farm | Drowned Farm | Minecraft 1.20 - 1.21+ Requirements : In order to build a river-based farm, players will need water sources and slabs. How It Works: The drowned spawn in rivers, and they drop rare items like tridents, copper, and gold. Players can funnel them into a narrow channel and kill them for easy collection Benefits: Players get rare items easily. 5. Blaze spawner XP farm Blaze Farm - Minecraft 1.21+ Tutorial Requirements : To build a Blazer Farm, first players have to find a Nether fortress and look for a blaze spawner, building blocks, water (or lava in Bedrock Edition), and a potion of Fire Resistance (optional). How It Works: Once players find a blaze spawner, they have to close the spawner within a 9×9×3 area centered on the spawner block. Use water (Java) or flowing lava (Bedrock) to push blazes into a drop chute or killing chamber Benefits: Drops blaze rods and high XP. These were the 5 best mob farms that players can consider building early in the game. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
