ICC announces prize money for Champions Trophy 2025
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the prize money for the Champions Trophy 2025, increasing the total prize pool by 53% compared to the previous edition.
According to the ICC's announcement, the total prize pool for the Champions Trophy will amount to $690,000.
The winning team will receive $2.24 million (over Rs620 million), while the runner-up team will be awarded $1.12 million (more than Rs31 crore).
For the teams that lose in the semi-finals, each will be awarded $560,000 (over Rs15.5 crore).
In addition, teams will also receive $34,000 for each group-stage match they win.
The teams finishing in 5th and 6th place will receive $350,000 each, while the team finishing in 7th place will be awarded $140,000.
Every team participating in the event will receive $125,000 for their participation.
The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is set to be hosted in Pakistan from February 19 to March 9.
