24-Year-Old Actress Sophie Nyweide's Death Investigation Confirms Pregnancy
Sophie Nyweide, a former child actress known for her roles in Invisible Sign, Noah and Mammoth, passed away at the age of 24 on April 14. Her body was discovered in a wooded area near Park Street in Bennington, Vermont, where she was found unresponsive. While the cause of her death is under investigation, authorities are looking at the possibility of an unintentional overdose, as toxicology and autopsy results are still pending. It was also recently revealed that Nyweide was pregnant during the time of her death, but details about the stage remain unclear. Sources close to the investigation suggest that the actress was in the early stages of pregnancy.
According to TMZ, the late actress' mother, Shelly, said, 'My knowledge is she was using drugs and was a tiny young woman. She was with other people when she died. I didn't know them. There is an investigation ongoing. The autopsy results are not in. They said it would take 6-8 weeks. So I can't say definitively." While police are treating the case as a possible unintentional overdose, they are still looking into the possibility that someone may have played a role in her death. A source revealed that a man was with Sophie when she died and he's cooperating with the investigation. Due to this, police are not treating him as a suspect.
Sophie Nyweide's mother further mentioned that the family is heartbroken and still trying to deal with the loss. Shelly shared that her daughter loved acting and never faced anything bad while working on film sets, unlike some other child actors had claimed in the past. Her father described Sophie as a creative and athletic girl who looked older and wiser than her age. He said she was always determined to become an actress.
In the obituary, Sophie's family shared that she was a kind and trusting person, which sometimes led her into difficult situations. According to them, she often shared her thoughts and painful feelings through her drawings and writings. Even though she had support from loved ones, professionals and others who wanted to help, they couldn't change what happened. Her family believes she tried to deal with her pain by using substances instead of taking help. She often said she could manage everything on her own and refused the treatment that might have helped her.

Surf's on! Prince Harry, Meghan Markle enjoy beach day in California; son Archie hits the waves with surfing lessons
(Photo credit: X) Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted enjoying a relaxed family day out with their 6-year-old son, Prince Archie, at Santa Claus Beach in Carpinteria, California, on Friday. The outing offered a rare glimpse of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex soaking in the summer sun while cheering on Archie, who was seen taking surfing lessons. The young royal appeared to be following in his father's footsteps, showing enthusiasm for the waves a sport Prince Harry has long enjoyed. This wasn't Archie's first time on a surfboard. He was previously seen having surfing lessons with Harry earlier this year in January. While Archie embraced the waves, Meghan and Harry kept a low profile, relaxing on the sand and engaging in casual conversations with fellow beachgoers, according to TMZ reports. Photos showed the Duchess dressed in a breezy white shirt, rolled-up sleeves, and shorts, paired with a beige sun hat to shield herself from the sun. Prince Harry sported a gray T-shirt, black shorts, and a tan baseball cap, looking every bit the laid-back dad. Notably absent from the outing was the couple's younger child, Princess Lilibet, 3, who did not accompany her parents and brother to the beach. This beach trip comes just weeks after the Sussexes shared a peek into their Fourth of July celebrations. Meghan recently posted a video on Instagram assembling a red, white, and blue-themed charcuterie board, showcasing how she and the children marked the holiday at home. Married since 2018, Harry and Meghan have consistently emphasised the importance of putting family first despite their busy lives.

Andrew Garfield has once again stepped into the tech world on-screen. This time, the actor is playing OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in Artificial, a new comedic drama directed by Luca Guadagnino. Real-time clips from the movie set in San Francisco are going viral, showing Garfield in full 'tech-bro' mode as he films outside Altman's actual home. Fans quickly picked up on his slow, calculated walk, hands tucked into his pockets, what many called the perfect Sam Altman impression. One Reddit user shared behind-the-scenes footage and captioned it, 'Andrew Garfield nailed the Sam Altman walk!' Another said, 'Got some shots of the OpenAI movie on Lombard,' confirming the shoot location. Filming took place outside Sam Altman's real house One of the biggest talking points? The fact that the movie scene was filmed right in front of Altman's real-life residence. 'What's more interesting is they're filming in front of his house…lol,' wrote one user. Someone else added, 'I asked some crew if he knew about it and they basically said 'he does now' lol.' TMZ and several X (formerly Twitter) users also posted the moment, which shows Andrew Garfield on the phone, dressed in grey slacks and a blazer, standing in front of the recognizable San Francisco property. Here's why fans are calling it a 'Social Network pipeline' Garfield's role in Artificial instantly reminded fans of his performance as Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network. One X user joked, 'The concept of Andrew Garfield playing you in a movie about your life so you know you and your company are about to be disgustingly successful. Social Network pipeline studied in film classes.' Fans pointed out the similarities between the two films, both center on real-life tech figures, boardroom drama, and rapid shifts in power. Garfield's dramatic line, 'I'm coming back for everything,' from The Social Network, is now making the rounds again online. What is 'Artificial' about? Artificial is a comedic drama based on real events at OpenAI. It focuses on the 2023 chaos when Sam Altman was briefly fired and then reinstated. Monica Barbaro stars as Mira Murati, and Ike Barinholtz plays Elon Musk. Yura Borisov is cast as Ilya Sutskever. The movie is being shot across San Francisco, including locations like Dolores Park, the Marina District, and a well-known Bay Area restaurant.
