Stacey Solomon's co-star speaks out after Sort Your Life Out host's Baftas rant
Stacey Solomon received backlash from fans after she took to social media to share her "devastation" at her show Sort Your Life Out failing to win a Bafta, despite being nominated twice. But now her co-star Dilly Carter has since come out in support with a three-word remark: "Good for you!".
ITV's Loose Women panel member Stacey was left in tears when her BBC renovation series was up for two awards—Entertainment Performance and Factual Entertainment—but came away from the event without any wins.
Following the disappointing outcome, Stacey posted an emotional message to her followers, expressing her sadness at not winning.
She was pipped at the post in the Entertainment Performance category by Joe Lycett with Late Night Lycett on Channel 4 and also Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour on BBC Two.
The television presenter confided in her followers: "We didn't win a Bafta and I know I'm supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I'll be honest I'm devastated," managing a laugh amid her confession of "handling it" quite well, reports Edinburgh Live.
Her candid reaction online has drawn criticism for what some saw as lacking grace in defeat. Appearing on ITV's Lorraine, Dilly joined stand-in host Christine Lampard - filling in while Lorraine Kelly recovers following surgery - for a fashion segment, where Christine seized the moment to inquire about Stacey's Instagram video.
Christine questioned Dilly on air, saying: "What do you think? She was just sort of being real wasn't she."
But Dilly expressed her support for Stacey's video, saying "good for you". She commented: "She is our fearless leader for a reason that's what we have to remember and I agree with her in certain respects because it's not about us it's about the production."
Dilly went on to back Stacey for making her voice heard: "So much goes into that show and that's why we are a bit like 'ohh', you know were just a little bit heartbroken for everyone because everyone works so hard."
She added: "I think yeah, good for you, absolutely say it how it was. I would have been more like 'oh no don't say anything' but you know she's like that.
"I think she's absolutely right, I support her as always and like I say she's a fearless leader for a reason."
Christine chimed in: "It's not to take away from Rob and Rylan obviously because they're still brilliant but you just love your team."
Dilly affirmed: "Of course, everyone in an award show wants their team to do well. Everyone wants to win."

Emmerdale fans 'solve' who Ray was on the phone to - and who he's working with
Emmerdale fans think they know who new villain Ray was speaking with on the phone on Tuesday, and who on the ITV soap he might be working with amid him targeting Dylan Ray in Emmerdale was shown making a cryptic phone call with an accomplice during Tuesday's episode of the ITV soap. Now, some fans are convinced he's working with a familiar face. Just weeks on from Joe Tate being tipped to be in cahoots with Ray, a mystery scene in the latest episode has sparked more theories. Ray was shown targeting both Dylan Penders and April Windsor, before speaking to someone about their dodgy dealings. It comes as spoilers revealed April would be the villain's next target, with him already dragging Dylan into his drug dealing. Next week April will be left torn as she's manipulated into a drug drop by Ray, with it not revealed if she goes through with it or not. On Tuesday night we saw Dylan turning down a job from Ray, who feigned acceptance of this. It was clear he was manipulating the teenager, giving him loads of money and claiming to be his friend. With Dylan not keen to help Ray, he told him he couldn't help him on the latest job and Ray said it was okay. But at the end of the episode we saw him spying on both Dylan and April, before making a worrying comment. He was speaking to someone on the phone but their identity was not revealed. Ray told the mystery person that April was "sweet and innocent" and would be perfect for whatever they had planned. He claimed she would be "of use to them", no doubt with their dodgy dealings and jobs like the ones Dylan has been doing. But who was Ray speaking with, and who is he working with? Viewers had a theory or two about this, believing we already know the person on the other end of the phone. Some fans have gone back to the Joe theory, believing they are working together. Another theory speculated that fellow newcomer Celia might be linked to Ray. One theory said: "Anyone else curious as to who Ray was on the phone with? I reckon it's someone we know like Joe." Another post echoed this theory saying: "Is Ray working with Joe?" Meanwhile another fan commented: "Imagine if Ray was working with Celia." It comes amid Celia teaming up with Moira Dingle after both of them had drama with the Tates. Celia had a farm related business offer amid Moira's financial woes, while Celia revealed Kim Tate had raised her rent. Fans wondered if Celia was really helping Moira or if she was secretly against her. Bob Vylan Glastonbury set sparks antisemitism surge as hate incidents hit six-month high the following day

A total of 26 were reported after rapper Bobby Vylan chanted 'Death, death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)' during the set. Police say inquiries are continuing in relation to the comments at the gig, which the BBC chose to livestream. The CST said the next worst day so far this year was May 17 — a day after Israel said it was expanding military operations in Gaza — when 19 incidents were recorded. A spokesman said: 'Both of these cases illustrate how sentiment and rhetoric towards Israel and Zionism influence, shape and drive contemporary anti-Jewish discourse, online and offline, often around totemic events that grab mainstream public attention.' Over the six months, there were 76 violent anti-Jewish assaults, three rated as 'extreme', the charity said. There were 84 incidents of damage and desecration of Jewish property, 21 of mass-produced antisemitic literature and 1,236 of verbal or written abuse. The six-month January to June total was 1,521, down on the 2,019 in the same period for 2024. CST chief executive Mark Gardner said the figures demonstrate 'extreme levels of Jew-hatred, committed in the name of anti-Israel activism'. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper called the numbers 'shamefully and persistently high'. She said antisemitism 'has a profoundly damaging impact on the individuals affected and the wider Jewish community' and said the Government was determined to 'root out the poison'.

The sitcom icon is best known for her role as the scene-stealing Mrs Doyle in Channel 4 comedy Father Ted. It's part of a huge soap pub wars style fightback for the ITV soap against rival EastEnders after Corrie was left bloodied at the Soap Awards. She will make her debut as Maggie Driscoll alongside on-screen son Aaron McCusker's Ben as they both arrive with his partner Eva Price, played by returning star Catherine Tyldesley. And more than that - Eva's daughter Suzie will be arriving too - and Ben's two sons - packing the Rovers full to the brim with the new family. It will be in contrast to Walford's Queen Vic that's relied on Kat and Alfie Moon buying the pub to run after Linda Carter sold up. Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks said: 'We are beyond thrilled that Eva is returning as the landlady of the Rovers, with her new blended family in tow. 'The Driscolls do not arrive quietly, so expect big drama, explosive secrets and raucous knees ups galore. 'To have actors of Catherine, Aaron and Pauline's considerable calibre at the beating heart of this family is absolutely wonderful, and we can't wait for you to get to know and fall in love with them as much as we have already done. 'Strap yourselves in, it's going to be an exciting and eventful ride.' Pauline also appeared in rival soap EastEnders as Yvonne Cotton. Catherine Tyldesley stars as Coronation Street favourite Eva Price She stayed in the BBC soap for two years spanning 2014 and 2015 playing the mother of Charlie Cotton. The role on the cobbles will see her reunite with her Shameless co-star Aaron for the first time since 2011 when they both appeared in the Channel 4 comedy. The new family are filming now and will appear on screen in the autumn.
