EastEnders split confirmed for major couple as a family is torn apart
The couple were devastated last month when doctors informed them that their baby son Jimmy had been born severely sight-impaired.
Lauren initially blamed herself for Jimmy's diagnosis, believing it was caused by her painkiller addiction while she was pregnant, but gained a fresh perspective after some meaningful conversations with Stacey and Lily Slater (Lacey Turner and Lillia Turner).
However, Peter's struggle to come to terms with the news is set to rip their family apart in forthcoming scenes.
On Monday, an increasingly distant Peter dismisses Lauren's pleas to join her and local well-wishers in the Square, prompting his warring mum and gran Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) to put aside their feud to try and help the couple.
But Lauren is left devastated when Peter later turns around and blames her for Jimmy's health.
Peter's harsh words push recovering alcoholic Lauren to the brink of a relapse, and she heads to both The Vic and Harry's Barn for a drink but is refused service.
After Peter finally bonds with his newborn son following Cindy's encouragement, he heads to the hospital without Lauren for an appointment about Jimmy, where he is warmed by an encounter with a fellow patient.
However, Peter's positivity is quickly ruined when he returns home and discovers Lauren has almost relapsed.
After a huge row, Peter breaks up with Lauren and hits her with the bombshell that he's going to fight for custody of their sons.

Desperate not to see her family further ripped apart, Kathy manages to persuade Peter to make amends with Lauren, and eventually the pair put aside their differences. More Trending
But as it becomes clear Lauren is hiding something, a suspicious Peter heads to The Vic to ask solicitor Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) about custody advice.
Unfortunately, Honey overhears and tells Lauren, who then heads to No.45 to officially end things with Peter…
Is this the start of a bitter battle between them? And could this pave the way for the long-awaited return of Lauren's dad Max Branning (Jake Wood)?

Theo's behaviour leaves Todd confused in Corrie as he taken away by the police
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce)'s relationship with Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street hasn't been plain sailing by any means. It was quickly revealed that Theo was struggling with his sexuality. As their relationship has developed we've learned more about Theo's past and that he endured a very bigoted upbringing in which he was put through conversion therapy to try to 'cure' his gay feelings. This has left him with lasting trauma, and the reappearance of a man called Noah (Richard Winsor) – who was involved in the conversion therapy and still wants to 'save' Theo from himself – has made things so much worse. Noah is in a relationship with Theo's estranged wife, Danielle (Natalie Anderson), and this has further complicated an already difficult situation, with Theo's love for his children being used against him. What doesn't seem to be in doubt is his affection for Todd, with Theo recently suggesting they should try to find a place of their own to live together. But there have been hints that Theo's attitude to Todd can be quite controlling, as we saw when Todd was getting close to James Bailey (Jason Callender) and Theo warned him off. 'We're starting to spot some anger management issues on Theo's part, at the very least,' Gareth Pierce told Metro. 'There's some flashes of anger that have left Todd shocked but equally, because he's had that insight into the conversion therapy and where Theo is coming into this new life from, he's perhaps willing to guide him through it. 'Our audience are probably also spotting some of those flashes of jealousy and perhaps a kind of need to control that maybe Todd is not currently spotting or doesn't want to spot.' This behaviour is in the spotlight again in coming episodes. Todd is excited to hear that the corner shop flat is up for rent and suggests to Theo that they could consider it. But soon Theo is irritated when Todd decides to bring George (Tony Maudsley) to Dev (Jimmi Harkishin)'s stag do. As Todd starts enjoying himself at the party, Theo says he has a headache and insists they go home. Soon after this incident, Theo suggests a night out and is annoyed when Todd says he planned to spend the evening with Summer (Harriet Bibby). When she tells Theo he's very welcome to join them for pizza in front of the telly, he refuses and sulkily says he's going to the pub. There's a more disturbing incident to come. Theo is approached by police officer Jess (Donnaleigh Bailey), who says there's been a report of an incident at the precinct and he needs to come to the police station to answer questions. EastEnders star set to make surprise return to the soap three years after leaving Albert Square
An EastEnders star is reportedly set to make surprise return to the soap three years after leaving Albert Square. The character, who first set foot in Albert Square back in 2018 had a spell of intense storylines over the years. Stuart Highway will make an appearance in Walford for a 'limited period,' but is set to cause some drama, according to The Sun. Played by Ricky Champ, 45, he left the soap in 2022 alongside his on-screen wife Rainie Cross (played by Tanya Franks). Stuarts major stories included confessing to accidentally killing DI Steve Thompson (Philip Wright) - who later turned out be alive. He also admitted to being a vigilante paedophile hunter which stemmed from being sexually abused as a child. Stuart was at the centre of a father's post-natal depression storyline, with the character struggling to bond with his baby Roland. He had struggled with his mental health after his diagnosis with breast cancer and had trouble adjusting to parenthood after he and wife Rainie (Tanya Franks) tried for a child for a long time. 'In EastEnders I went from villain to hero to dad,' he told Digital Spy at the time of his exit. 'It was amazing, doing that for five years with a character's arc. It felt weird leaving him,' he admitted. At the time Ricky didn't rule out a return to the soap someday, as he claimed that anything was possible. 'He didn't die. He rode off into the sunset. I think he's somewhere in the North Circular living with Rainie,' he said of his character. Outside of EastEnders, Ricky's additional ventures include his role as Paul Parker in the BBC Three sitcom Him & Her and a Games Of Thrones appearance as Gatins. Daily Mail has contacted the BBC for comment. 'In EastEnders I went from villain to hero to dad,' he told Digital Spy at the time of his exit in 2022 but he will be back for a 'limited period' Elsewhere, an EastEnders legend is facing the sack after a whopping 40 years in job - and fans of the BBC soap aren't happy about it. Beloved character Tracey, who is played by actress Jane Slaughter, has been on the show since 1985. Over the years the barmaid, who rarely has any speaking lines, has become a huge fan favourite while serving many punters at the Queen Vic. But a recent episode of EastEnders raised a few alarm bells with viewers after Kat Slater's (Jessie Wallace) nephew Freddie (Bobby Brazier) put forward the idea of working for her and take over from Tracey. Kat and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) became the new owners of the pub earlier this month, after taking over from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). During Tuesday's instalment of the BBC show, Freddie asked for a job, but was told that they didn't have enough money for him to join the team behind the bar. Freddie went on to tell Alfie and Kat that he would be able to work for half of what Tracey is currently paid. It's no wonder that the bartender is such a popular character on the show, having been on EastEnders since the very beginning. Tracey appeared on the very first episode back in 1985. She is the longest-serving character to ever take part in the popular programme having no breaks or exits. Although the character rarely says a word on the show, back in 2022 she made a shocking revelation about Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). She confessed that Phil was the 'best sex she's ever had'

Charity hides a secret from Sarah in Emmerdale as devastating scenes lie ahead
Sarah Sugden's (Katie Hill) journey to parenthood has been a complete roller coaster in Emmerdale, and it's about to hit a sharp downwards turn. After Sarah underwent an emergency hysterectomy it looked like her dreams of becoming a mum were dashed, but Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) came forward with the idea they find a surrogate. That too went south when they learned Sarah's illness meant an agency wouldn't touch her with a barge pole, so Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) magnanimously stepped up to the plate, but without husband Mack's (Lawrence Robb) approval. After some deep discussions and the threat of an ending marriage, Charity and Mack worked things out and the surrogacy plans could continue, and Sarah and Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) got engaged. After Charity passed all the tests, the doctors were able to implant the embryos, and now it's full steam ahead for the baby plans. With everything so blissfully on track, Mack and Charity go for a lovely walk. Disaster strikes when Charity slips and falls, kicking off a huge chain of events. Firstly, she must manage her own anxiety that it might have affected the implantation. She's terrified that a stupid action could put paid to Sarah's dream. More Trending Back at Jacob's, a nervous charity is trying to convince herself she's fine and in doing so decides that when Sarah arrives home she simply won't tell her what happened, a tactic that has worked so well for Charity in the past. Sarah and Jacob can't help but fuss over Charity, which heightens her anxiety, so she does her best to deflect things by suggesting Sarah and Jacob have an engagement party.
