I've found a beautiful 15-2 tip at York that can build the bank for Royal Ascot
I'm hoping to warm up for the big meeting with a decent eachway run from Blue For You in the 7f handicap at York.

The stage is set for a huge week at Royal Ascot - but I reckon I can find a winner to boost our coffers before then

My selection is handicapped to go well for David O'Meara and Danny Tudhope.
To be honest I don't often get this yard right, but I think Blue For You is worth taking a risk on as an animal who loves the track.
Blue For You usually goes over a mile, and was a winner at York in July of last year off 95.
Having not scored since, he's on 95 again now, and he had a perfectly decent run over 7f at Haydock in April.

He's hard to predict but a few quid each-way is, in my opinion, well worth it.
Elsewhere at York I wonder if some headgear will spark up Chillingham? Time will tell… but I'll give him a go each-way too.
Meanwhile, the Greyhound Derby final is here and it's the defending champion against a fellow Irish champion in a right old smashup.
That's what we get in the climax of the coveted £175,000 Starsports Greyhound Derby at Towcester on Saturday night, which promises to be an absolute belter.

De Lahdedah, handled by Liam Dowling, bids to become just the fifth greyhound in history to achieve back-to-back successes.
And remember those that have done so are names from yesteryear that will always live long in the memory of dog loving fans.
Think Mick the Miller (1929-30), Patricias Hope (1972-3), Rapid Ranger (2000-1) and my personal favourite Westmead Hawk (2005-6).
But to score, De Lahdedah will have to destroy Graham Holland's Bockos Diamond, who aims to make history and do something only Toms the Best has ever achieved, and that's to land the Irish and English Derby.

This is a proper race, and after ITV duties at York I'm dashing straight to Towcester to enjoy the moment.
I hope you will be there to. Those in charge have put on loads of entertainment and music throughout the day.

Well the answer to the latter question is clearly no. We have all been around too long to dismiss the unexpected.

As is always the case in greyhound racing, though, the draw is crucial and Bockos Diamond is plotted up in the black and white stripes of Trap 6, with kennel companion Cheap Sandwiches next to him in the orange of Trap 5.
That also happened in the semi-finals, when Bockos Diamond destroyed Cheap Sandwiches for early pace.
The former doesn't always get out as quickly as he did that day, in an impressive 3.95s. But Trap 6 seems to be the spot where he traps best.
Cheap Sandwiches also chased home Bockos Diamond in his Irish Derby victory, where the latter dashed better early pace despite not getting an electric start.

Some have a theory that the inside of the track is the place to be at Towcester, and that means De Lahdedah will have plenty of supporters.
He's in the white jacket of Trap 3, and that box holds no terrors for him, although he landed his semi-final from the blue of Trap 2.
De Lahdedah will need luck in the early stages, as he's a strong stayer who lacks early dash.
He does, however, have tremendous track craft and he'll keep plugging away.

If Bockos Diamond gets away I can't see him being picked up, but we are talking narrow margins here.
It just promises to be a wonderful event, and greyhounds are beautiful animals to watch in fluent motion.
Their long, powerful legs, deep chest, flexible spine and slim build allow them to reach speeds of 40mph.
Bockos Diamond will need to use all those attributes at 9.15pm tonight. Shine bright Bockos, like a diamond.

Road bowling: Kelly Mallon underlines class with 12th All-Ireland senior title
Kelly Mallon captured her 12th All-Ireland senior bowling title with a consummate performance against Munster champion, Hannah Sexton, at Keady-Tassagh on Sunday. No superlatives could begin to capture Mallon's unique achievements. She has not only amassed a collection of All-Ireland senior titles that is never likely to be matched, but she has delivered them at a level that equally looks unattainable. She is not only the best bowler of her generation, she is indisputably the best Irish woman bowler of any generation. Sexton would have needed everything to align to take down Mallon. She was marginally off on a few shots and luck was not always her friend. She mounted a strong challenge, but the tiny margins turn into chasms when you take on Mallon. Her younger sister, Laura, garnered some solace for the family and Munster fans when she beat Jessica Hughes in the junior final. This was a close affair in the early stages. Sexton pushed clear in the middle and was two in front with two to go. Hughes then got a magical second last bowl around the last corner to bring the lead back to a bowl. In the senior final, Mallon's opening shot was well right of the sop, but it got a vital run up the hill. Sexton only beat that by 3m with a great reply. Mallon then played an absolutely brilliant bowl up the hill to the silver gate, which gave her close to a bowl of odds. Sexton cut the odds with a brilliant fourth shot and was a shade unlucky not to go out Twynam's with her fifth. Mallon punished her with a perfect bowl past the bend to go almost a bowl clear. She had luck when her next one came off the right bank and it went into the hollow to put her a full bowl in front. She followed with two extraordinary bowls to the creamery lane to jump two bowls clear. Sexton refused to accept defeat, in the face of some sensational throws from Mallon. She managed to get the lead under two with her great 13th shot to McCann's. That was as close as she came. The rest of the contest featured on the winning margin, which Mallon won that too with a great bowl to the creamery stand. In the junior final, Laura Sexton opened with a big bowl. Jessica Hughes completely misplayed her first one, but recovered to win the lead with her second shot. Sexton won the next two, but a huge fifth bowl towards the creamery lane had Hughes back in front. Sexton regained the lead with her next one and raised a bowl with a great eighth shot towards Gallogly's. They battled over those odds till Sexton edged close to two clear with a great 12th shot towards the bus shelter. She was given a late scare by Hughes' excellent bowl out the last bend, but she professionally deflected it.

Finally things got spicy when Max Verstappen went for an audacious move on his old rival Lewis Hamilton but the Ferrari driver ran wide. The pair nearly made contact but the Dutchman got ahead and snatched 11th place from the Brit. Lando Norris sprayed the gravel with two wheels before he was urged to 'keep the focus' by his race engineer Will Joseph. The Aussie was dwindling and pitted before remerging and hunting down Leclerc until he left him for dust on lap 51. Leclerc was left livid at his team for letting first-place fall from their clutches and fumed on the radio: "This is so incredibly frustrating. We have lost all competitiveness, you just have to listen to me. "I would have found a different way of managing those issues. "Now it's just undriveable. It's a miracle if we finish on the podium." Piastri hunted Norris on his fresh tyres with just over three-seconds separating them with 10-laps to go. Russell was left seething as Leclerc twice moved over to the right as Russell tried to dive down the inside to overtake with the two nearly making contact. Russell was fuming on the radio demanding a penalty for the Monegasque driver and the stewards investigated. Leclerc was slapped with a five-second time penalty but didn't lose any places. Fans were licking their lips at the battle between Norris and Piastri at the front, as the two McLarens lapped 12th place Hamilton who finished where he started. After his win a jubilant Norris said: "I'm dead. I'm dead. It was tough. "We weren't really planning on the one-stop but after the first lap it was kind of our only option to get back into things. "The final stint with Oscar catching I was pushing flat out. "Rewarding even more because of that. The perfect result today. "I didn't think it would get us the win, I thought it would get us maybe into second. "I knew if I had clean air and could push I could maybe make things work and that's what we did. "It always is a bit of a gamble these kind of things. It also requires no mistakes, good laps, good strategy and that's what we had today. "We're so tightly fought it's hard to say if momentum is on anyone's side. "It's tough but fun racing against Oscar. Eamonn Kelly and Conor Mohan win in Junior WRC category of Secto Rally Finland
Donegal's Eamonn Kelly (Ford Fiesta Rally3), co-driven by Monaghan's Conor Mohan, won the Junior WRC category of Secto Rally Finland, finishing 8.3s ahead of series leader Taylor Gill. The twenty-six year old Frosses driver also secured extra championship points courtesy of three stage wins. Moving into the lead on Saturday's penultimate stage when rival Taylor Gill had trye issues, Kelly punched in the fastest time (SS17) to lead by 21.2s. The Irish pair managed their advantage well. On the final leg - a double run over the famous 23.98km Ouninpohja stage - they went on to claim a famous win. Standing on the top step of the podium, a delighted Kelly, who previously won the JWRC round in Croatia in 2023, said: "This is probably the first win we have really earned. Finland is the place of speed and one of the most iconic rallies in the world, it's a special event to win. "It's a proper rally from the word go, there's no minding, it's flat out, especially when you're racing against really fast guys. "From the start we were in the mix and it's been so enjoyable to be battling it out on these roads, the buzz is unbelievable." Meanwhile, in the main event, another all-Irish crew - Josh McErlean/Eoin Treacy (Ford Puma Rally1) took a season equalling seventh place after they benefitted from the final stage retirement of Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux. Just like Monte Carlo, they were the top M-Sport Ford crew and also netted their highest points (6) haul. Home hero Kalle Rovanpera, with his maiden Secto Rally Finland, victory led home a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 top five with a masterful display that powered him into WR title contention - three points behind team mate Elfyn Evans, who regained the championship lead. Irish co-driver Aaron Johnston and Japan's Takamoto Katsuta took second place (39.2s behind) with Sebastien Ogier completing the podium line-up and even though he's on a partial programme, the French ace is only 13 points off the championship lead - the same as pre-event series leader Ott Tanak, who eventually finished tenth after the organisers imposed a five minute penalty. Rovanpera began Saturday's eight stages with a 4.9s lead over the Hyundai of Thierry Neuville whose team mate Adrien Fourmaux was 2.8s further behind in third, but that was as close as they got. Apart from a slow puncture on SS13 where Rovanpera found the conditions the most difficult he's ever faced on home soil, the Finn won five stages and ended the day with a 36.1s advantage. His nearest challengers were his own team mates, a staggering quartet of Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 that provided the Japanese outfit with a lock-out of the top five places. Neuville and Fourmaux stayed in touch and were within 15s of Rovanpera at the midday service, but all changed on the repeat run. Neuville, who lost brakes for a few kilometres on SS14, and Fourmaux both suffered front right wheel puncture early in SS16 before ending the day in sixth and seventh respectively with Neuville also struggling with brake issues. Having begun the day with some understeer, the demise of the Hyundai duo propelled Katsuta into second, Ogier in third had one objective - to stay ahead of fourth placed Evans, who was set to regain the championship lead. Josh McErlean was eighth - gaining a position when his team mate Sesks struggled for vision through a misted screen on SS15 as he lost some two minutes when he had to stop and clear the screen. The wet conditions posed plenty of issues on the same stage for McErlean, who declared: "So, so sketchy. You don't know where the water is or the puddles appear. So tricky. At the start we couldn't see, we opened the vents on the high speed road." Sami Pajari completed Toyota's noteworthy top-five lockout. M-Sport's Gregoire Munster and Martins Sesks completed the top ten. Pre-event series leader Ott Tanak was down in fourteenth position due to the addition of a five-minute penalty imposed for an incident involving a scrutineer on Friday. On the final leg Rovanpera, whose average speed was 129.95kph, went on to take a maximum thirty-five championship points winning the Power Stage as Toyota became the first manufacturer in 35 years to take the top five positions equalling Lancia's record set in 1990.
