€35M Rated Parma Turns Down Premier League Move – Only Wants Inter Milan

Yahoo3 days ago
Parma defender Giovanni Leoni has turned down the possibility of moving to the Premier League, as he only wants Inter Milan.
This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could still cobble together the funds to make a €35 million offer for Leoni.
For the last several weeks, Inter have been heavily linked with Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.
Reportedly, the 19-year-old is the player the Nerazzurri see as ideal for the long-term future of their defense.
Furthermore, the fact that Leoni had worked with coach Cristian Chivu last season has further bumped him up Inter's list of targets.
However, the price tag for Leoni would be quite high. Reportedly, Parma are holding out for as much as €40 million to sell the teenage defender.

Inter are not the only club to show an interest in Leoni's signature. Their major domestic rivals Juventus and AC Milan are also keen on the teenage defender.
Meanwhile, there is also some interest in the cash-rich Premier League. Reportedly all of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are eyeing up a move.
However, reports the Corriere dello Sport, Leoni himself has little interest in a switch to the English top flight.
Instead, the newspaper report, the 19-year-old has a preference to move to Inter.
The fact that Leoni worked with Cristian Chivu is the decisive factor. He believes that the Nerazzurri are the right project for him to take the next step.
Therefore, the key question is whether Inter will have the funds to make Parma an offer – especially after what has already been an ambitious summer of spending for them.
As the Corriere note, Inter have already sold the likes of Aleksandar Stankovic and Tajon Buchanan for a little under €20 million.
Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also received small fees for Lucien Agoume, Filip Stankovic, and Georgios Vagiannidis.
Furthermore, Inter are still looking to offload all of Kristjan Asllani, Sebastiano Esposito, Mehdi Taremi, and Tomas Palacios.
Therefore, the Corriere report, Inter believe they will be ready to make a €35 million offer to Parma for Leoni before the end of the transfer window.

Report – Inter Milan Will Only Sell Premier League Linked Germany Star For €40M Offer

Inter Milan will reportedly only sell Premier League linked defender Yann Bisseck if an offer of €40 million comes in. This according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInter1908. Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck has been at the heart of some transfer speculation this summer. Most notably, there is reportedly interest in the German international coming from the Premier League. Crystal Palace, for example, made an offer for Bisseck. They put a bid of around €32 million. Inter, however, held out for more. The Nerazzurri reportedly gave Palace a counteroffer of €40 million. (Photo by) However, there is also the will of the player concerned. Bisseck has now been at Inter for two years. He joined from Danish club Aarhus in the summer of 2023. And the German has certainly done well to establish a place for himself in the Nerazzurri squad – and even in the starting eleven. Therefore, it is not exactly as though Bisseck is in any imminent rush to leave Inter. Meanwhile, Inter themselves see Bisseck as a perfect fit in their team. They are not going to push him out the door, or look to cash in in order to fund the signing of a different defender. Therefore, the Gazzetta dello Sport report, Inter are ready to stick to their €40 million valuation.

He joined the club from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. There are no immediate indications that the 29-year-old is on the way out at the San Siro. Inter Milan's pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has become more dramatic than ever. Yesterday, the Nigerian publicly demanded a transfer in a statement. Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are reportedly still waiting to see whether Atalanta give them a counteroffer or explicit valuation of the 27-year-old after rejecting two offers. (Photo by) After yesterday's very public statement, today is an important day to take the temperature of Lookman's growing fallout with Atalanta. And SportItalia report that the Nigerian international was a highly conspicuous absence from the team lunch. The team lunch is somewhat informal. The club do not require the players to attend as they do the pre-training team meeting. Nevertheless, the absence of a player like Lookman, in the circumstances, is certainly noteworthy. Therefore, the big question now is whether Lookman will attend the mandatory team meeting and training. Or if he will be absent as he continues to dig in his heels to try and force a move.
