€35M Rated Parma Turns Down Premier League Move – Only Wants Inter Milan
Parma defender Giovanni Leoni has turned down the possibility of moving to the Premier League, as he only wants Inter Milan. This according to today's print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could still cobble together the funds to make a €35 million offer for Leoni. For the last several weeks, Inter have been heavily linked with Parma defender Giovanni Leoni. Reportedly, the 19-year-old is the player the Nerazzurri see as ideal for the long-term future of their defense. Furthermore, the fact that Leoni had worked with coach Cristian Chivu last season has further bumped him up Inter's list of targets. However, the price tag for Leoni would be quite high. Reportedly, Parma are holding out for as much as €40 million to sell the teenage defender. Giovanni Leoni Turns Down Premier League Move – Only Wants Inter MONZA, ITALY – MARCH 15: Giovanni Leoni of Parma in action during the Serie A match between Monza and Parma at U-Power Stadium on March 15, 2025 in Monza, Italy. (Photo by) Inter are not the only club to show an interest in Leoni's signature. Their major domestic rivals Juventus and AC Milan are also keen on the teenage defender. Meanwhile, there is also some interest in the cash-rich Premier League. Reportedly all of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are eyeing up a move. However, reports the Corriere dello Sport, Leoni himself has little interest in a switch to the English top flight. Instead, the newspaper report, the 19-year-old has a preference to move to Inter. The fact that Leoni worked with Cristian Chivu is the decisive factor. He believes that the Nerazzurri are the right project for him to take the next step. Therefore, the key question is whether Inter will have the funds to make Parma an offer – especially after what has already been an ambitious summer of spending for them. As the Corriere note, Inter have already sold the likes of Aleksandar Stankovic and Tajon Buchanan for a little under €20 million. Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also received small fees for Lucien Agoume, Filip Stankovic, and Georgios Vagiannidis. Furthermore, Inter are still looking to offload all of Kristjan Asllani, Sebastiano Esposito, Mehdi Taremi, and Tomas Palacios. Therefore, the Corriere report, Inter believe they will be ready to make a €35 million offer to Parma for Leoni before the end of the transfer window.

Italian Journalist Reveals: ‘Leoni Is An Inter Milan Target – With These Three Departures'
Journalist Fabrizio Biasin says that Parma's Giovanni Leoni is a target for Inter Milan, but only with sales. Biasin writes in TuttoMercatoWeb that the Nerazzurri are considering the 19-year-old as a long-term replacement for Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and Matteo Darmian. Biasin Confirms 'Giovanni Leoni Is A Target' For Inter – 'But Only With Sales' BOLOGNA, ITALY – OCTOBER 06: Giovanni Leoni of Parma calcio looks on during the Serie A match between Bologna and Parma at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on October 06, 2024 in Bologna, Italy. (Photo by) Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin writes 'As far as Leoni? He's still a target for Inter.' 'But before making an offer to Parma, the Nerazzurri want to free up space in their squad,' he adds. 'Which primarily means bringing in the cash necessary to make a fair offer for him.' Biasin then explains that 'Marotta and Ausilio want to give Chivu an extra defender to develop, in anticipation of the likely double- or triple-exit in the summer of 2026 (Acerbi, de Vrij, Darmian).' 'But these are all matters that they'll only consider once the Lookman soap opera is over. That's the top priority right now.'

Serie A and Premier League Giants Courting Parma Talent
Parma have been able to keep hold of Giovanni Leoni so far, even though most of the top Italian sides have pursued him. The going is about to get rougher for the Ducali. A few English clubs have taken notice of the talent as well, Fabrizio Romano reports (via Calciomercato). Inter, Juventus, and Milan have all inquired at some point. The Nerazzurri did it with the most conviction. The Gialloblù repelled them by setting a €40M price tag. The powerhouses will try again but also need to sell some players in the same role first. Parma are bracing for offers from England, in particular from Liverpool, Newcastle United, and Tottenham. The bids could come closer to their request in this case. The Emilian club is poised for a massive profit, as they acquired him for €5M from Sampdoria last summer. The decision by the 18-year-old will be pivotal in determining his future. He'll ask to transfer only to a team that guarantees him a starting job. He aims to become a fixture for Italy as well. Our Take on Leoni While he's been brilliant last season, the sample size might be too small for other Serie A sides to make such a large splash, even though, if all goes well, he'll be a linchpin for 15 years. Plus, he can still be molded for any position or style of defense. It'd be best for him to spend another year where he is to further grow in a comfortable situation, but his valuation is already substantial enough to justify a sale. A smart outfit that's not in a hurry would acquire him now and send him back on loan.

Inter Milan have set their asking price for in-demand center-back Yann Bisseck amid growing interest from Crystal Palace. According to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have slapped a substantial €50 million price tag on the German. Despite Bisseck's rise to prominence at San Siro, he looks destined to leave Serie A in the coming weeks. Indeed, the 20-time Italian champions have put the 24-year-old up for sale. That's because they want to raise funds for Parma's Giovanni Leoni. (Photo by Marco Rosi –) Crystal Palace are reportedly ready to offer around €32 million for the ex-Aarhus center-half. However, Inter are hoping to get €50 million for Bisseck, who already turned down a move to the Premier League. Indeed, the versatile defender has no intention of leaving Serie A. Instead, he's eager to win back the club's trust and convince new coach Cristian Chivu to keep him on board.

Report – Inter Milan Open To Selling France Star Amid Pursuit Of Parma Youngster
Inter Milan are reportedly ready to sell Benjamin Pavard in order to make room for Parma starlet Giovanni Leoni. According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the French star could fall victim to Inter's pursuit of the 18-year-old. On the contrary, the Serie A runners-up have put the former Bayern Munich defender up for sale. However, Pavard has made it clear he would only join a 'top' European club. Inter Milan to Sell Benjamin Pavard to Raise Funds for Giovanni Leoni MILAN, ITALY – APRIL 16: Benjamin Pavard of FC Internazionale applauds the fans as he warms up prior to the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Quarter Final Second Leg match between FC Internazionale Milano and FC Bayern München at San Siro on April 16, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Pavard's exit would not only open space for Giovanni Leoni, but it would also bolster Inter's bank accounts. Indeed, the 29-year-old will only leave Giuseppe Meazza for a substantial offer, probably in the region of €20 million. However, that's only half of what Parma demand to let their sought-after youngster leave the club this summer. Tracked by Inter since the beginning of the summer, Leoni has also drawn interest from AC Milan and Juventus. Moreover, Liverpool and Manchester United may try to bring the Italian prodigy to the Premier League.
