[Tue, 22 Jul 2025 23:58:39 +0300]Tehran – Saba:Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Tuesday that Iran is prepared for "any Israeli military action," emphasizing that "our forces are ready to strike deep into Israel once again."In an interview with Al Jazeera, Pezeshkian said, "Israel has dealt us strong blows, and we have struck deep into its territory with equal force, but it conceals its losses."He added, "Israel sought to change Iran, dismantle it, and eliminate it through chaos and targeting the system, but it failed.""We do not want war, nor do we assume that the ceasefire is final, but we will defend ourselves forcefully," he continued. "Israel avoids any discussion of the success of our missile strikes, but its request for a ceasefire speaks volumes."Pezeshkian affirmed, "Iran has not and will not surrender—this is clear to everyone—but we believe in diplomacy and dialogue."He noted, "Never before have regional countries supported Iran as they did during the recent war."Regarding the nuclear issue, he stated, "We completely reject the possession of nuclear weapons—this is our political, religious, humanitarian, and strategic stance."He added, "Uranium enrichment on our soil will continue in the future within the framework of international laws."The president stressed that "any future negotiations must follow a win-win logic, and we will not accept threats or dictates."He remarked, "Trump says Iran should not have nuclear weapons, and we agree with that."However, he added, "The claim that our nuclear program is over is an illusion, as our nuclear capabilities lie in the minds of our scientists, not just in facilities."Pezeshkian also expressed Iran's full readiness "to formulate a concept of shared collective security with our Arab neighbors and other countries in the region."

Royal Jordanian Denies Yemen Flight Plans Amid Diplomatic Speculation
Royal Jordanian Airlines has officially denied reports suggesting it plans to launch direct flight routes to Yemen, amidst mounting speculation over regional airspace expansion and humanitarian access. In a statement released Monday, the airline clarified: "Royal Jordanian has no current plans to operate flights to Yemeni destinations. Any such developments would require coordination with relevant Jordanian authorities and regional aviation regulators." The clarification follows regional media reports hinting at possible coordination between Jordan and Yemeni officials to reopen commercial air corridors, particularly in light of recent humanitarian efforts and tentative peace talks involving stakeholders in the Yemeni conflict. Airlift and Diplomacy The denial comes at a time when several Arab carriers have cautiously resumed limited services to Yemen's southern cities, reflecting improved security in some zones. Yet, Yemen's fragmented control over airspace and infrastructure remains a major hurdle. Background Context: - Yemen's aviation sector has been largely suspended since the civil conflict escalated in 2015. - Occasional relief flights operate under the supervision of international organizations and regional mediators. - Royal Jordanian previously suspended its Sana'a route amid safety concerns and diplomatic tensions. Analysts suggest the statement is meant to temper expectations while preserving diplomatic neutrality. Jordan continues to support UN-led peace initiatives in Yemen and has hosted multiple rounds of reconciliation talks. Looking Ahead

Yemen : Houthis threaten to target ships linked to firms dealing with Israeli ports
Yemen's Houthis said on Sunday they would target any ships belonging to companies that do business with Israeli ports, regardless of their nationalities, as part of what they called the fourth phase of their military operations against Israel. In a televised statement, the Houthis' military spokesperson warned that ships would be attacked if companies ignored their warnings, regardless of their destination. 'The Yemeni Armed Forces call on all countries, if they want to avoid this escalation, to pressure the enemy to halt its aggression and lift the blockade on the Gaza Strip,' he added. Since Israel's war in Gaza began in October 2023, the Iran-aligned Houthis have been attacking ships they deem as bound or linked to Israel in what they say are acts of solidarity with Palestinians. In May, the US announced a surprise deal with the Houthis where it agreed to stop a bombing campaign against them in return for an end to shipping attacks, though the Houthis said the deal did not include sparing Israel.

UAE launches water pipeline project to supply Gaza
The United Arab Emirates has initiated the construction of a critical water pipeline linking an Egyptian desalination plant to the coastal area of Al-Mawasi in southern Gaza. The project, approved by Israel's defense establishment and carried out with logistical coordination across borders, marks a significant humanitarian effort to alleviate the water crisis affecting nearly 600,000 Palestinians in the war-torn enclave. The pipeline, which will operate independently of existing Israeli water infrastructure, is designed to deliver potable water directly from Egypt into Gaza. It is being developed under the supervision of the Israeli military's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) and was greenlit by the Israeli political echelon as a non-political, humanitarian measure. On Sunday, the first batch of construction materials, delivered by Emirati representatives, crossed the Kerem Shalom border crossing following stringent security inspections by Israel's Border Authority and Ministry of Defense. Construction is expected to begin in the coming days and will span several weeks. "This is a purely humanitarian measure, taken within the framework of cabinet decisions," said Israeli officials, emphasizing that the project does not signal a move toward rebuilding Gaza or any shift in political posture. "The connection of the pipeline does not constitute a step towards the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip," they added, aiming to quash speculation of normalization or broader reconciliation. The move comes amid a temporary humanitarian truce announced by Israel over the weekend. In parallel, Israeli authorities authorized workers from the Israel Electric Corporation to reconnect a key power line from the Ashkelon power station to Deir al-Balah. This line supports the Egyptian desalination plant already contributing to Gaza's water supply.
