2 Texas A&M players earn Walter Camp preseason All-America honors
On Tuesday, it was revealed that Reed-Adams (second-team) and York (first-team) were the lone Aggies to receive preseason All-America honors, according to Walter Camp. As the two 2025 team captains, coupled with senior left tackle Trey Zuhn III, head into the new campaign, they have high expectations to thrive on both sides of the ball.
Last season, York struggled out of the gate, but ended the year leading the team in tackles (82), 2.5 sacks, four pass breakups, his first career interception, and finishing second on the team with 9.5 sacks. A starter since his 2023 freshman season, the former three-star prospect has more than surpassed his recruiting ranking and is currently seen as a potential first-round draft pick.
After transferring from Kansas last season, Reed-Adams settled in at right guard, bringing in vast experience with 43 appearances and 27 starts, and finished his first season with the Aggies as the top run blocker nationally. Considered the best overall player on the roster, EA Sports' College Football 26 video game features Reed-Adams as the program's highest-rated overall player with a grade of 93.
Texas A&M will open the 2025 season against UTSA on Saturday, August 30 at 6 p.m. CT., and will air on ESPN.

Bills Coach Details James Cook Improvement; Key To New Contract?
Bills Coach Details James Cook Improvement; Key To New Contract? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Buffalo Bills running back James Cook will be in the headlines all offseason, either until he signs a new deal or the regular season begins. Advertisement With no movement on a new contract, as the Bills have just $100,700 in cap space, there is a feeling that James will have to play the 2025 season on his rookie contract. That isn't ideal, but that is the world Cook is likely living in, and after another 1,000+ yard season, to go with his 16 touchdowns, which tied the franchise record, there doesn't appear to be a desire to extend Cook, at least not this offseason. James' 2024 season was a sight to behold, a bruising runner who scored at will, having just four combined touchdowns in the previous two seasons, Cook then slammed home 16 under Joe Brady. But how did Cook have such a big jump in production? Running back coach Kelly Skipper knows why. Advertisement "I thought the biggest thing to me was he improved his strength," Skipper said via ESPN. "He was able to break more tackles, run physical, so his whole game came together last year. "He had a lot of success. ... It's good to have him back. ... He has a contract issue and all that stuff going on. That'll take care of itself. He just wanted to be around his teammates, and he's happy to be here. I mean, to be able to play, he loves football. So, him being around his teammates was really good for him." Buffalo Bills running back James Cook© Denny Medley-Imagn Images Training camp looms as the big watch for Cook. Yes, he attended minicamp, but only so he didn't lose his money, and as we know, training camp holdouts get expensive very quickly. Advertisement Of course, he could "hold in," meaning he's at the practice field but doesn't participate in drills, and therefore, can't get fined. So it will be a delicate balancing act for Cook and his agent to perform this offseason, but we don't think the contract they want will be forthcoming this year. And if that is the case, we aren't entirely sure where that leaves Cook and his Bills future. Cowboys Now A 'Broken Maserati' And A 'Bottom NFL Franchise'?
Cowboys Now A 'Broken Maserati' And A 'Bottom NFL Franchise'? originally appeared on Athlon Sports. FRISCO - For the fourth time in the last few days, old friend Colin Cowherd has fired a nasty shot in the direction of the Dallas Cowboys, this one so lacking in reason that the Fox Sports 1 host's motives are becoming negatively transparent. Advertisement Keep this up, and the very talented national host is about to be known as "The Boy Who Cried Wolf ... Er, Cow.'' The first three empty shots? He termed Micah Parsons nothing more than a "splash'' player not worthy of a big contract. He predicted that Dallas will in 2025 get "humiliated'' on a regular basis on game day. He insisted that new coach Brian Schottenheimer is "one and done'' and will be fired by Jerry Jones after this season. None of this claims - headline-grabbers though they are - have much basis in fact. ... and they are barely worth arguing about. But Item 4 might be the most outrageous, and yet compelling, of all. Advertisement Cowherd has delivered a rant comparing "America's Team'' to a broken-down sports car. Said the host: "I've never owned a Maserati, but the Cowboys and Maseratis are that luxury brand that feels like they spend way too much in the shop. ... I think Dallas is a bottom quarter, bottom fifth NFL franchise. But because they've been such a luxury brand it's hard to wrap your brain around that.'' And so ... in the Fish Report, we take that bait and we play the game. Are the Cowboys a "bottom''-barrel NFL franchise? If so, what makes them so? And if they are an elite franchise, how is that judged? We argue that it is about winning (which in the last 60 years pretty much no NFL team has done more than Dallas), and it's about financial viability (the Cowboys have lapped some rivals in valuation) and it's about the width and breadth and passion and sheer size of the fan base. Advertisement And if those are the measures? Jerry Jones' Cowboys - as much as it pains the critics to admit it and as much as it bores the talking heads to address it - remains the NFL gold standard.
