Local Barn Find Boasts Vast Collection Of Classic Legends
The idea of the perfect barn finds sits within the minds and hearts of automotive enthusiasts around the globe. Finding one's dream car in a chaotic state and slowly bringing it back to life to return to or surpass the car's original glory is a highly appealing thought. Some go even as far as to base their livelihoods around these automotive adventures as they travel from town to town looking for the subsequent significant discovery of a time long forgotten. This video perfectly encapsulates that passion for recovering the historical automobiles that grace the hallowed halls of this old storage warehouse.
Upon entry to this place, you will find a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme sitting together to the right of the entrance. Another cool classic that sits near these automotive legends is a W30 clone which needs a new interior but is mostly complete. In front of the W30, you'll find a 1953 Oldsmobile Convertible, which seems to hold a special place in the owner's heart as he will not be selling the beautiful vintage Oldsmobile. The final cars that we'll show you in this part of the barn are a 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible and a 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass, which boasts a 455 ci V8 under the hood.
The owner intends to rescue the car is a 1961 Pontiac Catalina Convertible, which runs and drives like a dream. The exterior blue has been covered in an aged patina but seems to be a very sound automobile from looking at it. Thankfully the convertible top is brand new, which allows this straight-body GM masterpiece to remain intact and capable of taking on the weather in most conditions. While we aren't sure what the new owner intends to do with the car, it seems like the vehicle is going into good hands, and we hope to follow its progression from a junkyard bound vintage to a show-stopping classic shortly.

Aston Martin warns on profit as US tariffs, stagnant Chinese demand bite
By Shashwat Awasthi (Reuters) -British luxury carmaker Aston Martin issued a profit warning on Wednesday citing a hit from U.S. import tariffs and prolonged suppressed Asian demand linked to China's economic slowdown, sending the company's shares down as much as 7%. It forecast adjusted operating profit to roughly break even this year, compared with its earlier expectation of positive earnings, as it also expects a hit from a stronger pound and investments in software. U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs had been "extremely disruptive" in the second quarter, Aston Martin executives said during a call with journalists. A trade deal Britain agreed with Washington last month establishes a quota-based U.S. tariff system for imported British cars. The first-come-first-served system allows 25,000 UK-made cars per quarter to qualify for a 10% tariff with additional imports facing a 27.5% levy. The company said the quota mechanism had complicated financial planning for 2025 and possibly into 2026. "We continue to actively engage the UK government to urge them to improve the quota mechanism to ensure fair access for the whole UK car industry to the 10% rate on an ongoing basis," CEO Adrian Hallmark said. Aston Martin resumed auto shipments to the U.S. in June after earlier curbs aimed at clearing inventories and has incrementally raised prices in response to the tariffs, it said. U.S. tariffs have pummelled global automakers, forcing companies like GM, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Porsche, and Mercedes-Benz to book billions of dollars of losses, issue profit warnings, slash forecasts, and raise prices. Aston Martin also warned that demand in the Asia-Pacific region, which accounts for more than a quarter of its revenue, would remain suppressed in the near term. Sales in a "very stagnant" Chinese market, where a slowing economy is leading consumers to tighten their belts, were broadly flat in the first half of the year. "The guidance reduction is understandable in the face of current FX headwinds, investments in business and lower volumes until Q4," Bernstein analysts said in a note. Shares of the brand, which is associated with fictional secret agent James Bond, pared some earlier losses to trade 3.6% lower at 75.9 pence by 0951 GMT. Sign in to access your portfolio

Mission Accomplished: The Corvette ZR1X Broke Ford's Nürburgring Record
Chevrolet has tested Corvettes around the Nürburgring for decades, but it's been over 10 years since the company released a Nordschleife lap time for America's sports car. That changes Thursday. Chevy brought three C8 Corvettes to the 'Ring—the Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X —and now claims the title of fastest American car around the German circuit. Both the ZR1 and ZR1X beat the Ford Mustang GTD's 6:52.072 . The ZR1 managed a 6:50.763 while the hybrid ZR1X shaved that time down to 6:49.275, even beating out the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Meanwhile, the Z06 set a very respectable 7:11.826. Corvette ZR1X — 6:49.275 Corvette ZR1 — 6:50.763 Corvette Z06 — 7:11.826 All three Corvettes were stock production cars except for some safety modifications—a roll hoop, a bucket seat, a six-point harness, and a fire-suppression system. Each featured its respective optional performance package and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires. The Nürburgring officially considers these prototype cars, however, as the Z06 was a US-spec model, and the ZR1 and ZR1X aren't sold in Europe. Photo by: Chevrolet Photo by: Chevrolet The lap times were set by Corvette engineers, not professional race-car drivers, a fact that Chevy is proud of. Vehicle performance manager Aaron Link set the time in the Z06, vehicle dynamics engineer Brian Wallace set the time in the ZR1, and fellow vehicle dynamics engineer Drew Cattell set the time in the ZR1X. GM Motorsport boss Ken Morris noted in a statement: 'We've created a different kind of relationship between our cars, iconic tracks, and our engineers, it is how we develop our vehicles. These Corvettes weren't piloted by pro race-car drivers. They were driven by the same engineers who designed, engineered, and tuned them. Brian, Aaron and Drew have grown into world-class drivers and even better engineers. Their lap times now rank among the fastest ever recorded by non-professionals at the Ring, which is so cool.' By contrast, sports-car ace Dirk Müller set the Mustang GTD's Nurburgring time, while longtime Porsche factory driver Jörg Bergmeister did the job for the 911 GT3 RS. Mercedes-AMG factory driver Maro Engel is the only one to have pedaled stock production cars around the Nürburging quicker than the Cattell in the ZR1X, with his laps in the AMG GT Black Series and One hypercar. Chevy put out a documentary on the Nürburgring project, and it features a lot of good insight into the process. Setting a fast lap at the 'Ring required a lot of simulation and development work back in Michigan, a fair share of logistical challenges, and fate, in the form of dry conditions. Plus lots and lots of Michelins. The Corvette ZR1 already has production-car lap records around Road America, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, and both full and grand course configurations of Virginia International Raceway. One imagines Corvette engineers wanting to go better with the 1,250-horsepower ZR1X, and rivals wanting to take the Vette down. New reports suggest Tesla is losing customers because of CEO Elon Musk: 'Consumers are responding to consistency, not volatility'
Tesla sales are reportedly down because of its polarizing CEO, Elon Musk. Though Tesla is the No. 1 electric vehicle company in the United States, a new report from USA Today indicates its sales have plummeted due to Musk's involvement in politics that has angered some people or damaged brand trust. Switch Auto Insurance and Save Today! Affordable Auto Insurance, Customized for You The Insurance Savings You Expect Great Rates and Award-Winning Service The gap in the market has left space for General Motors to flourish. The automaker's sales were 111% higher in mid-2025 than they were in mid-2024. In comparison, Tesla's sales six months into 2025 were down 13% from the same time the previous year. "GM is quietly building trust, while Elon burns it," said Paul Waatti, AutoPacific's director of industry analysis, per USA Today. "Consumers are responding to consistency, not volatility, and GM's steady hand is starting to pay dividends." Sam Fiorani, vice president of global vehicle forecasting at AutoForecast Solutions, added that Musk's politics weren't the only element impacting the market for Teslas or, more broadly, electric vehicles. "There's not one thing that's causing Tesla sales to go down and GM's to go up. It's a combination of factors," Fiorani said, per USA Today. "Some of that will be a response to Elon Musk, some will be to the EV tax credits going away. The EV market is developing so fast, but we are still just at the beginning of the bell curve." Still, while General Motors' sales have been found to be rising, compared to Tesla's dropping sales, it's worth noting that Tesla still sells more electric vehicles than GM. Though Musk may be a polarizing figure, demand for EVs remains strong. Increased competition has also led to more innovation in the EV field, making planet-friendlier vehicles more widespread and accessible for people. Switching to an electric vehicle is a great way to save money, no matter whether you choose a Tesla, a GM, or another brand of EV. Energy company Octopus Energy wrote that "drivers pay about half as much annually as petrol cars on tax, maintenance and fuel," according to data from Direct Line. One way to make the costs of EV ownership even more affordable is by using solar power to charge your vehicle, which is cheaper than relying on public charging stations or the grid. EnergySage makes it simple to compare quotes from trusted local installers and save up to $10,000 on those upfront costs. Do you think Tesla can bounce back from its recent struggles? Yes It depends on Elon's actions I don't think it's struggling Nope Click your choice to see results and speak your mind.
