Survivor 50: Boston Rob explains why he turned down Jeff Probst
For many Survivor fans, it seemed inconceivable to put together an all-star cast for the 50th season that didn't include Rob Mariano — better known as Boston Rob.
The five-time castaway, who finished runner-up to his eventual wife Amber Brkich on Survivor: All-Stars before finally winning Survivor: Redemption Island in season 23, is arguably the most well-known player ever marooned. But when the season 50 castaways were revealed, Boston Rob was nowhere to be found.

It turns out, this wasn't an egregious snub. After fans voiced numerous complaints about Mariano's absence for the milestone season, Boston Rob took to Twitter/X to set the record straight.
It's somewhat comforting to know host Jeff Probst at least reached out to offer Boston Rob a spot on the island, but Rob essentially confirming his Survivor days are over definitely stings.
Many fans have called for Rob to replace Probst as host if and when the latter ever decides to hang up his torch snuffer. It seems like that might be the only chance we get to see Mariano return to Fiji. Until then, we'll have to just tip our cap to one of the most entertaining castaways to ever play the game.

The last episode of that season garnered 4.1 million U.S. viewers, a record which was promptly smashed this year by the last episode of season 3, with 6.2 million people tuning in. The Four Seasons has appeared in all three seasons of the hit HBO series, the first season being set in its Hawai'i location and the third season in its Thailand branch. Its website also lists which of its hotels were featured in popular shows and media, including The Dark Knight and Pretty Woman. Rooms at the San Domenico Palace can cost up to $8,000 per night, a price that pales in comparison to the price tag of the couple's lavish wedding. Sánchez's ring alone is estimated to cost between $3 million to $5 million, according to People. The wedding hosted around 200 A-listers and billionaire guests, who descended onto Venice in private yachts and jets, taking over the Marco Polo airport. Some notable faces included Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey, and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. Trump was also invited to the 'wedding of the century' but couldn't attend due to scheduling conflicts. The citizens of Venice were not too pleased that the billionaire's nuptials were taking place in their city, concerned that it would disrupt their day-to-day lives and contribute to the city's overtourism problem. Following local protests, the celebrations were ultimately moved from central Venice to the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in a former medieval shipyard called the Arsenale.

Kesha Supports Cassie Following Sean Combs Conviction: ‘I Believe You'
Kesha is standing with Cassie Ventura in the wake of Sean 'Diddy' Combs being found guilty on two of five federal charges he faced during an eight-week trial. During the trial, Ventura spent four days on the witness stand testifying against Combs, her ex-boyfriend. In her testimony, she alleged that Combs raped her, forced her to have sex with male sex workers while he watched, and physically abused her. 'Cassie, I believe you,' Kesha wrote on X. 'I love you. Your strength is a beacon for every survivor.' Combs was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution but found not guilty on the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. In a press statement, Ventura's legal representative Doug Wigdor said, 'Although the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution.'
