Puri: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Saturday expressed deep spiritual sentiments on witnessing the divine Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath.
Gautam Adani also praised the efforts of the Odisha government, administration, and the people for the grand and well-managed Rath Yatra.
'It is my great fortune that I got the opportunity to come here. Over the past few years, I have deeply felt the divine presence of Mahaprabhu Jagannath in my life. I met with Lord Jagannath when I had nothing in hand, and today, by the grace of the people and the blessings of the Lord, I have everything,' Gautam Adani said, while speaking to the media.
'I prayed for the bright future of India and the development of Odisha. Let Lord Jagannath continuously guide the nation toward progress, and I pray that all people receive the benefits of this progress,' the billionaire industrialist added. Gautam Adani also shared his experience of service during the festival. The Adani Group has initiated the 'Prasad Seva' in Puri Dham and is undertaking a comprehensive 'seva' effort to support both pilgrims and frontline officials during the Rath Yatra from June 26 to July 8. 'For the first time during this divine congregation, we focused on 'seva' (service) as a form of devotion. Over 5,000 people joined hands in service, and we witnessed how this transformed lives. Seva is not limited to religious practice -- it has a tangible impact on society as well,' the Adani Group Chairman said. 'I saw the arrangements myself -- the cleanliness, discipline, and the dedication of administrative and security personnel. It is commendable how Odisha managed such a massive gathering with such grace. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to everyone involved,' Gautam Adani added.
Earlier, taking to social media platform X, Gautam Adani called the 'Rath Yatra -- a grand embodiment of faith, service, and unity,' and noted that 'being a witness to this wonderful experience ... will forever remain among the priceless memories of my life'. Meanwhile, lifeguards at the Puri beach expressed immense joy and pride over Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani visiting them and the holy city of Odisha for the divine Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. The lifeguards shared their joy and excitement over meeting and interacting with Gautam Adani. 'We feel honoured and overjoyed with Gautam Adani coming to visit us. This is the first time such a big personality has visited and interacted with us. We feel extremely happy,' said Mani Shiva Rao, President of Puri Beach Lifeguard.
'We were overwhelmed with joy and pride when Gautam Adani came to meet us. This is the first time such a prominent figure has interacted with us directly. It means a lot to all of us,' added Hari Rao, General Secretary of the Puri Lifeguard Association.

Puri, Jun 28 (PTI) After serving lakhs of people during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Reliance has launched multi-pronged efforts to enrich the experience of devotees in Lord Jagannath's Rath Yatra in Odisha's Puri, the business group said in a statement. The annual Rath yatra draws lakhs of devotees who gather to witness the majestic procession of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple. Over 4,000 trained volunteers, wearing identifiable uniforms, are also managing crowds and overseeing water points to keep devotees hydrated in the hot and humid weather. They also distributed over 1.5 lakh eco-friendly hand fans to help pilgrims beat the heat. 'Keeping the rainy season in mind, 3,500 raincoats have also been distributed among police staff. Volunteers, municipal staff, and police personnel will be provided with refreshment kits,' the official said. Another agency, Chaipani got itself engaged in strengthening on-ground civic infrastructure in collaboration with local authorities to ensure a safer and seamless experience for devotees. These measures aim to address critical issues such as heat exhaustion, lack of rest zones, and information gaps for first-time pilgrims, the company statement said. 'We see this not as an advertising opportunity, but as a moment where brands can step in as contributors to the public good,' the founder of Chaaipani, Shruti Chaturvedi, said.
