Gautam Adani, along with his wife Priti Adani and son Karan Adani, participated in the annual Rath Yatra in Puri. The Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra is one of India's most revered religious festivals. In a post on X social media platform, the billionaire industrialist said that 'seeing the Lord Himself among devotees is an experience of the pinnacle of humility, simplicity, and compassion'. 'This Rath Yatra is a grand embodiment of faith, service, and unity, which delights the mind, intellect, and soul. Being a witness to this wonderful experience on the sacred land of Puri, alongside millions of devotees, will forever remain among the priceless memories of my life,' Gautam Adani noted. The Adani Group Chairman wholeheartedly thanked the State government, Puri administration, and the thousands of service-dedicated workers 'whose dedication and discipline have made this event unfold with such reverence and grandeur'. 'May the grace of Lord Jagannath always remain upon the holy state of Odisha, India, and its people. Jai Jagannath,' Gautam Adani stated. I met with Lord Jagannath when I had nothing in hand, and today, by the grace of the people and the blessings of the Lord, I have everything,' Gautam Adani said, while speaking to the media. Meanwhile, lifeguards at the Puri beach expressed immense joy and pride over Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani visiting them and the holy city of Odisha for the divine Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. The lifeguards shared their joy and excitement over meeting and interacting with Gautam Adani. 'We feel honoured and overjoyed with Gautam Adani coming to visit us. This is the first time such a big personality has visited and interacted with us. We feel extremely happy,' said Mani Shiva Rao, President of Puri Beach Lifeguard. 'We were overwhelmed with joy and pride when Gautam Adani came to meet us. This is the first time such a prominent figure has interacted with us directly. It means a lot to all of us,' added Hari Rao, General Secretary of the Puri Lifeguard Association.

'I have got everything from Lord Jagannath ji, I had nothing, and by the grace of the people, by the blessings of God, today I have everything. And for the bright future of our country and for the development of Odisha, I prayed to God that our country continues to progress and all the people get the fruits of it,' Adani said. Speaking on the occasion, Adani said, 'For the first time in Maha Kumbh, we tried to do 'Seva se sadhna'... Today, in the grand yatra of Jagannath Puri, we have resolved to go further in this. After seeing the arrangements here, the entire administration, the Odisha government, sanitation workers, and security personnel have organised this entire Rath Yatra very well. A devotee from West Africa, who had travelled to Puri for the Rath Yatra, expressed her joy at getting the opportunity to have 'darshan' of Lord Jagannath. She also hoped for a chance to pull the Lord's chariot. The grand annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath commenced on Friday in Odisha's Puri, with thousands of devotees pulling the majestic chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple. The event was marked by chanting, drumbeats, and an overwhelming sense of spiritual fervour. (ANI)

After the three chariots of Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra and Lord Jagannath were pulled to Shree Gundicha temple at noon, Adani, his wife Priti and son Karan offered prayers to the deities in front of the temple amidst intermittent showers. The family then walked to the mega kitchen of ISKCON at Puri and also offered prayers to the deities there besides assisting in preparing meals and distributing them among the devotees. Later speaking to mediapersons at ISKCON, the Adani Group chairman said he prayed for the country as well as state's development. 'I have got everything from Lord Jagannathji. There was a time when I had nothing and by His grace, today I have everything. Today, I have prayed for our country's bright future and Odisha's development. I have prayed that our country keeps growing and the fruits of development are enjoyed by all its people," he said. The 'Prasad Seva' rolled out by the Adani Group at Puri on the occasion of Rath Yatra includes distribution of 4 million nutritious meals to devotees and frontline officials and workers daily from June 26 to July 8. The group is also extending logistical and safety support in the shape of jackets, raincoats, caps, umbrellas, and fluorescent safety vests for municipal workers and devotees. Its volunteers are assisting in beach clean-up drives, especially targeting plastic waste, and lifeguards from the Puri Beach Lifeguard Mahasangha are receiving direct support. The Adani family also met 'Adani lifeguards' at Puri beach on the day. On the occasion of Rath Yatra on Friday, Adani said his family was blessed to be serving during the Rath Yatra. "By the infinite grace of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannathji, we have been blessed with the opportunity to serve during the sacred Rath Yatra of Puri Dham. This divine journey is that sacred moment when the Lord himself comes to his devotees to bless them with his darshan. It is not just a journey, but a sublime celebration of devotion, service and surrender," the industrialist wrote on X.
